      The point is, she didn't value her gift and abused her body. She could have sung her songs better during this time if she really took care of herself. What a waste of talent for a short period of time. Look at Celine Dion, she managed to maximize her gift and timeline as a singer because of her DISCIPLINE, HARDWORK at DEDICATION. Whitney maybe undeniably talented but she let her fame overpower her as an artist. Shame shame shame..

    Constantly reinventing herself when her voice changed and still knowing how to use her voice, made many of push aside the fact that she was using drugs. But being on top, in a marriage to a man who was not faithful, people running to the press to make money off her! So many miscarriages, touring constantly, father wanting to sue her. It's so much to deal with, constantly having to be picture perfect, mindful of what she says, how she presents herself, rumors about her being gay, than having tiffs with her mother, everyone using her as an ATM. I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did. Not many female artists have riched the status she had. It's enough to drive anyone to have some kind of addiction. Many people couldn't handle 1/2 the stuff she endured. And still able to smile and perform as if there are no problems at all. I love and respect her and I don't judge her at all.

      My my my you hit the nail the head she faced so much drama , problems like you said many women could not have handle it and still smile I keep feeling a heavy heart for her then she had to make money for that contract she signed wow God new enough was enough, many people still trying to make money from her it is so sad and your doing you in and not take care of your baby when you leave this earth my God some people are going to die bad , she came back for her baby it is to depressing not forgetting the tabloid. Then it was like she was alone Booby had a whole new family I guess her daughter felt she was alone she did not get on with Whitney, s family to well.

      For all those who choose to remember her "decline"; what legacies will you be remembered for?

    I'm here in 2024 and I am crying while listening to a truly remarkable voice. I am crying for two reasons. Obviously I am crying because it is Whitney Huston one of the best voices ever. The second reason is because it is not Whitney I am hearing. It is a shade of Whitney still giving her best at the moment, but not her best ever. I know I will get savaged for saying this, go ahead I deserve it, but you can't hurt me worse than the devastation of watching a tragedy unfold before your eyes and be helpless to do a thing about it.
    So I watch this and hear the voice of an angel in places. I will also remember a voice at it's prime that could thrill a soul and move a nation. Rest in Peace Whitney your place in our hearts is secure. Thank you for sharing your tremendous gift of voice and heart with us all.

    As you can see and hear, this unique individual was a gift from God. it's a gift of love and spirituality. There are only a few, like Elvis has that vibe. These chosen people are put on this earth they spread love through their voice and if we look at history the gift doesn't die any force can't kill it it doesn't go away it lives on after her passing years ago she still here and still moving people .listen, God doesn't make mistakes when he creates her, and that voice is the gift that keeps giving forward Beauty and Talent at the highest level unequaled.

      Anyone who is truly a Whitney fan and has studied the timeline of her career knows that she was just beginning her decline at this point. She had sung this song previously many times. It was obvious that by this time she could not hold or sustain the notes. She compensated by shortening them and doing runs, but she is clearly past her best at this point.

    Listening to Whitney, you can't help but agree with a British writer, Thomas Carlyle who 200 years ago said, "music is well said to be the SPEECH OF ANGELS."

    I feel some moments she grabs hold of her "old" voice. The 80s begin 90s Whitney. When she does. You can see her confidence rise for a moment. For example around 2:40 to 2:45. The way she sang eternity and visibly enjoyed it. We all know when she started struggling with her voice, she also started getting less confident in her ability. Which is totally understandable. So I feel she enjoys the moments where she gets a hold of her "old" sound for a bit.

      At the end of the day… we forget Whitney was older in comparison to her time in the 80’s. She was still phenomenal. One of the most scrutinized singers in history

    • @winette864
      @winette864 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TemujinScott80 THANK YOU! Very rarely does any powerhouse vocalist sing their most demanding songs as they get older and it's annoying because MANY of the most Iconic singers went thru changes it's called getting older. Whitney gets singled out.

    • @skip031890
      @skip031890 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@winette864 Age has very little to do with it. Lifestyle choices effects your voice more than your age. Whitney smoked cigarettes from an early age and she also had lung problems which only got worse.

    • @winette864
      @winette864 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skip031890 You're partially correct. There have been SEVERAL other singers who had very similar vices as Whitney for longer periods whose voices did not break down the way hers did just as there were artists who lost their voices soon than her despite not using substances. Vocally she would've fared much better had she not been so overworked.
