This video made me get up and workout. I'm finally making the change. I make my bed every morning, I brush my teeth twice a day, I've been eating healthy since the start of 2024 (the most amount of consecutive days I've ever gone eating good food my entire life) and I'm starting to workout and shower daily. For some it may sound pathetic but I never had motivation until now. I'm feeling happier already and I can't wait to keep going. Thanks for the spurt of motivation! Update: thank you to everyone supporting me in my replies. For those of you who may care I haven't given up. I genuinely feel that this is a lifestyle change and I don't see myself stopping. I'm a 5'6 18 year old female and I was 217lbs January 1st. It's now April 1st and I am 195.6lbs Still struggling with self confidence, lack of motivation, and a lot of self doubt. I still workout everyday but most days it's tough because I genuinely really dislike working out. Going for lots of walks has been working better for me. June edit: I'm hitting a wall. Any advice for getting back into things? May was a guilty bad month of eating bad and not working out. Now I feel like shit
I'm new to your videos and in my 50's and can't help thinking you are like the Richard Simmons of our time: one part warm and caring, one part enthusiastic about everything and the last part funny as all hell. :)
17:33 Is the exact reason I love Will’s content. David could’ve easily felt uncomfortable with someone who looks like Will working out with him, but Will pushed him in an enjoyable way that you can tell made David very happy. Will has an infectious personality, bringing happiness and joy to all of the people around him and I love that his videos (AND HIMSELF) haven’t changed at all.
Those fitness guys testing will seemed so excited to give someone good news about their health rather than the opposite. Im sure its really rewarding to see people make this incredible life changes.
I wish Will truly knew how motivating he is. He'll admit something that seems so doable and "easy" is difficult for him but keeps going and celebrates wholeheartly and with such kindness. Makes me double think quiting a set at the gym or not picking up that heavier weight and to get my ass out of bed even if I dont want to with every inch of my soul
I really liked the stories from the other campgoers. It'd be easy to lose focus as just another fitness influencer stunt, but getting to see other people's motivation and effort was really inspiring. Reminds you that it's a fitness journey that we're all on together.
I know I’m a year behind, but Will’s videos started showing up in my feed and I’ve been casually watching them. After this video I subscribed. What a positive humble dude, I love it.

Watching this video very late but man does that Marine speak to me so much. Got out of the Army 4 years ago this July and when I got out I spent most of time indulging. Drank more alcohol than usual, baked a lot of treats, cooked a lot of unhealthier options, and then of course smoked a lot of weed with bad choices when I had munchies. Then I moved back home a year later saw a photo my friends took and didn't realize how big I had gotten. Got out of the Army around 204lbs then skyrocketed to 280lbs within a year. Currently today sitting at 218lbs. Hope he kept going and fits in his uniform again because that uniform has such sentimental value to us all no matter what branch we served.
This video is why I 1000% respect Will and those trying to better themselves and why Will is one of the few influencers I follow and take seriously. The positivity and encouragement is something we need more of in and out of the fitness circle.
This is just like when I went into treatment for pain pill addiction. The hikes the group support the healthy eating choices. It was the best choice I ever made. I’m now a fifty five year old grand mother of two and I get to have sleepovers and babysit them with my family knowing that they are safe with their healthy Lovey❤. Congrats to everyone in the camp sending prayers for successful life change.
i bet it was encouraging to have will struggle through those workouts for everyone else there bc it makes you feel like a champion if you can do something that even someone as fit as he is is also struggling to get through.
something about you will i like. literally randomly recommended this video despite watching zero fitness related content and im already adoring the attitude you give off. you are fit and chiseled like a marble statue yet you never put down anyone you see now matter how big they are. you mingle with these people like theyre no different to you all because you are able to recognize their passion and desire to be better. i wish my gym was filled with guys like you instead of these high school kids going around ego lifting and putting down others
this is so odd but I really love how much effort and strain Will shows while doing the exercises, something about someone in his shape still struggling with things like hiking makes effort feel a lot more normal to me for some reason.
the two guys that did tests on you were the best hypemen I need them in my life! Honestly good that they are at these types of camps to hype people up!
Honestly that training with a professional who observes and corrects every milimeter of your movement to channel the pump into the muscle is nuts. I'd probably never visit such a camp but even one such training session would be amazing
@@charlenek11 This isn't a competition. It doesn't matter if it's dry or not, more than enough people die every year of heat stroke, no matter how healthy, for hiking after 9am.
The thing I liked the most was how the pt coaches actually had passion and you could tell they actually worked out. The mind muscle connection stuff for beginners is important. Glad they focus on that.
Stretching and mobility always feels like it is neglected in fitness influencers' content, but they are probably the most important factor in feeling like you can do things with your body. Happy to see this camp is taking it very seriously!
Because most fitness influencers don't actually care about their body. They just wanna look good. But as we all know, feeling and looking good are two different things
@@Bobina634 steroids aside, losing enough weight (cutting) to have a low enough body fat % to be considered “stage ready” is akin to controlled starvation, and completely depletes your body of energy and sex drive, while bulking up to gain weight often puts you above your body’s preferred fat levels, but isn’t as bad. It’s overall just sacrificing comfort and stability for the sake of looking as good as possible
@@haphapp7282Your skin can also be uncomfortably tight, you can feel your own veins, you run out of energy faster than somebody with more body fat, etc
This makes me wanna go there, I like how they mentioned conditions like hashimotos right away and how they changed the whole diet etc for that specific condition. I have hashimotos and I've been trying to lose weight and it's been incredibly hard without an expert to guide me on what to focus on. I am not overweight, but not comfortable with my body either, this camp looks so motivating.

This was amazing and to see even if you are fit you can still struggle. Good on you on supporting the others there and being a trooper. Great program for sure!!
I’m not obese and never have been overweight, but hiking helped me overcome drug addiction and gave me a path to a new hobby - backpacking. Hard to relapse when you’re a 2 day hike from your car 😂 actually gave me the idea to start a rehab where after the intitial detox (which can physically be hell), we do small trips to build endurance and teach the participants things about backpacking - ultimately leading to the larger goal of a week - couple week outing. The symbolic nature of literally walking a path to reach a goal is something that inspired me a lot and that I’ve carried into other areas of my life.
WIll, your humility, encouragement and willingness to learn in all situations is motivational. I love that this program focuses on specific individual needs of people, acknowledges autoimmune conditions and other unique health problems, emphasizes nutrition, and makes mobility, movement and technique a priority. Also, its great that you interview people like the former marine. Good for him, thats amazing these people are changing their lives and putting in the hard work.

I love how you approached this with such an open mind and wanted to show the good side of programs like these! This team is clearly doing a lot of good and I love seeing the healthy, nutritious, and filling meals they're serving! They're actually teaching sustainable habits, not just forcing starvation. I also know the hike you took and let me tell you, that hike is NOT easy. I did it, and after just a mile and a half, I was struggling, too. That terrain is rough!
Pleasantly surprised , thought you’d be another gym Bro but you’re a nice guy😊Love how everyone was so open and willing to share which can be intimidating when youre talking with a super fit person.
Will, thank you for your channel. I used to be extremely overweight and after I'd lost a ton of weight, I hit a plateau and I still hated myself and my body. I saw the Korean version, where they get like 500 cals a day and have to do cardio for like 8 hours a day (someone died). This camp is actually legit and I love how scientific and precise they are, even looking into often-overlooked issues like thyroid and GOI problems.
I love how they give you real, good food. And they give you what you need, it’s all to your needs and that’s amazing. Showing you how to live and to enjoy the simple pleasures like waking up early and going for a walk, and that you don’t need to deprive yourself from the simple pleasures in life such as food, just to better yourself

hey will it was truly a fun experience having you there, thanks for motivating us and making us laugh, you have inspired me to tell me story to help inspire others than anything is possible
Hey man you're doing great! Keep it up 😁
Thank you for being a part of it. It helps to see people that are actually doing the program. It’s super motivating even though I may never be able to spend money on a place like that. It shows it can be done! Thanks so much for the inspiration! Good luck on the rest of your journey!
Hey Dave! Keep killing it you savage!
They don't know you son!! Stay hard🔥🔥
You were fun to watch!
It's now April 1st and I am 195.6lbs
Still struggling with self confidence, lack of motivation, and a lot of self doubt. I still workout everyday but most days it's tough because I genuinely really dislike working out. Going for lots of walks has been working better for me.
June edit: I'm hitting a wall. Any advice for getting back into things? May was a guilty bad month of eating bad and not working out. Now I feel like shit
Nothing about that is pathetic. Amazing job you can do this!

I just found your channel and its both informative with hilarious innuendos. Adult/kid having fun getting fit and connecting with humans, admirable ❤
This guy has the most random, but interesting videos. Love the content Will.
I appreciate the base level of respect at that facility for everyone regardless of which personal hurdles they’re trying to get over.

Hope he kept going and fits in his uniform again because that uniform has such sentimental value to us all no matter what branch we served.

i bet it was encouraging to have will struggle through those workouts for everyone else there bc it makes you feel like a champion if you can do something that even someone as fit as he is is also struggling to get through.

this is so odd but I really love how much effort and strain Will shows while doing the exercises, something about someone in his shape still struggling with things like hiking makes effort feel a lot more normal to me for some reason.
I know exactly what you mean. When I am following a work out video, and the person is smiling and not struggling with me, I get an attitude. 😅
the two guys that did tests on you were the best hypemen I need them in my life! Honestly good that they are at these types of camps to hype people up!
6:55 serious respect to the gentleman trying to get back into the marine corp. I hope he achieves it.
Honestly that training with a professional who observes and corrects every milimeter of your movement to channel the pump into the muscle is nuts. I'd probably never visit such a camp but even one such training session would be amazing
As someone born and raised in AZ, I'm very impressed with these people and Will running at 10am. It's already 100F by then sometimes in the summer.

I saw the Korean version, where they get like 500 cals a day and have to do cardio for like 8 hours a day (someone died). This camp is actually legit and I love how scientific and precise they are, even looking into often-overlooked issues like thyroid and GOI problems.
