The way Dakota Johnson made Anastasia Steele not only a lovable ,but also compelling characters really showed her skill, and as someone who always made fun of the fifty shades series I was very surprised ( and impressed) by the way she portrayed the main character. It certainly interesting to see her point of view as an actress ,trying to earnestly bring characters to life, and learn all about the world of BDSM. She made Anastasia a far more interesting characters than she is in the novels. I still think the story itself is meh, but that's got nothing to do with her.
Absolutely agree. Films are not mind blowing but they’re a fun watch mainly because of Dakota! And books are absolute trash, just really badly written and edited 😅
Hell no! She is so mellow and boring and Jamie is simply not masculine enough. The entire casting was wrong. Even that could be negligible if they had chemistry. But sadly, they havent.
She’s a good actress but are you kidding? Ana was almost verging on Bella swan vibes….. characters product of absolutely horrendous writing. Not Dakotas fault of course. But terrible character
@@derikg1033 Agreed. The problem with FSoG is a poor script, which was made a good deal worse by the novelist’s interference in the filmmaking process in a misguided attempt to ensure the movie faithfully captured her ‘vision’. As well as this, the film does not understand the nature of BDSM, continually blurring the line between dominant/submissive relationships and the everyday, romantic, so-called vanilla type. This is what makes dialogue like “you’re all mine” in the wrong context so scr*tum-tightenly embarrassing and inappropriate. This kind of pleading only succeeds in making Christian sound whiny, which is not exactly the impression a dominant male should be conveying to his partner, as it shifts the balance of power in favour of the submissive party, leading to confusion. The remark another commentator made suggesting that Jaimie Dornan is insufficiently ‘masculine’ misses the mark, but I do agree that he is miscast in the movie, as he appears unable to convey dominance in a BDSM context (again, poor writing is partly to blame).

Interesting revelations. I really love the trilogy and watched the unrated versions everyday for a year. I also read all the books from both Christian and Ana's perspectives. I still catch it on different channels. I am watching it tomorrow, Sunday on lifetime. It is not about the sex for me. And I didn't understand why it was such a big deal. That is just Christian's coping mechanism and I understood his need. For me, it was the physical and sexual abuse he endured from his b-mom's pimp and A-mom's older friend; and how it affected him psychologically and physiologically. Also, I was curios about the interesting dynamics between Ana and her parents and I wanted to know more. In fact, Christian's story broke my heart 💔 so I was especially glad that they found each other to heal whatever is broken in them. Dakota and Jaime were so good that it was difficult for many to separate the actors from their romantic roles. I still see people posting Dakota pics as "Dakota & Jaime" and vice-versa. Which is ridiculous because she is in a great relationship with Chris for years and Jaime is married with kids. They were a good looking couple though, in the movie. I wish both of them nothing, but a lifetime of successes.
That was the whole problem with the premise of Christian's character lol. Making his desire for being a Sadist/Dominant founded upon his childhood abuse. F**king irresponsible bullshit. That is why most of the BDSM community laughed at this movie - as if those are the reasons people feel compelled to engage in such dynamics, it's ridiculous. Furthermore, the first movie was basically about Christian ignoring Ana's desire NOT to engage in such dynamics and force her into it. AGAIN, consent is the cornerstone to anything BDSM related. If you don't have consent from both parties, it is a violation, and not healthy. I think what Dakota is trying to say here (subtly) is that E.L. James wanted to make the movie her way, and the director and everyone else didn't agree with her. If Dakota is right in that the negotiation scene being the only thing E.L. James didn't have her fingerprints on, this makes sense to me. That was the best scene in the movie - showcasing the dynamic between Christian/Ana in a realistic BDSM way in terms of consent and negotiation for their terms of agreement.
@@amycaitlyn1120 I see your point Amy, but to be fair, Christian was a minor and vulnerable at fifteen, with the emotional intelligence of a ten year old. Remember, he did not choose the BDSM lifestyle. It was introduced to him by his A-mother's older friend. Infact, the lifestyle was beating into him by his molester, as a way to control his problematic behavior and for him to have intimacy without being touched. The movie explores a psychological effects of childhood traumas and must be considered in totality not in parts. Being traumatized and physically abused by b-mom's pimp at four years old. His mother, a drug addicted prostitute dies in his presence and not understanding why she was cold. For four days he was alone with her corps, hungry and the sudden separation from the only parent he has ever known without explanation was very traumatic. It's really tragic when your b-mom brings a man home who physically and psychologically abuse you then your A-mom brings home a friend who sexually and physically abuse you. How then do one grow up without issues? There are children and young adults going through this everyday in our communities. And when the opportunity presented itself for us to have a real conversation, we focused on the BDSM lifestyle and down-played and ignored everything else. That was disappointing. Regarding his pursuit of Ana, he did not force her although he was persistent. The issue was that he did not know any better. He has never dated or been in love or know what love looks like or feels like. Again he was using the tools taught to him in dealing with submissives. He didn't know that you don't use the same tactics with potential girlfriends as you do your subs. But through Ana's patience and guidance he eventually learned that what he was feeling was love. In life, we all need the right tools to deal with the right situation or we make a mess of things. Regarding EL James, I understand Dakota's point. There is a difference between consulting on a movie and taking the steering wheel completely; especially if with little experience. I guess that's why Taylor-Johnson left after the first movie. Dakota once hinted that she cried alot in her hotel room during the filming of fifty shades trilogy. Now I understand why. It's rather unfortunate that her experience was difficult. I enjoyed their portrayal of Christian and Ana though.
In spite of the fact that she was referring to herself personally, as 2 people playing the role of a sub/dom it’s his job to keep her safe. So that should have been carried over because they had to develop the relationship. He doesn’t just walk up and say You’re going to be my sub. I wonder why she agreed to do part 2/3 if she felt like she wouldn’t have done it in the first place?

As the economy crisis keep rising, one needs to have different streams of income, a well detailed diversified investment portfolio in the financial markets is needed to survive, as well as secure a profitable investment future!

༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ They need to make a movie where its the other way around. Rich girl and struggling man trying to make it in life. He meets the girl and falls in love. Only to find that that she loves stuffing things in his behind and pretty much any object she can think ofand as long as that is the deal - he can get anything he wants. So RC Cars, Hot Wheels, vibrating toy torpedoes..
I know right? How many nobody good actresses we're probably rejected. I did not like her or the guy in that movie. I recall most of my friends that read the book being disappointed, but whatever, to each their own.
@@sdust251977 finally someone said it . I think Dakota is a sweet and beautiful girl but her famous privilege got her that role and I didn’t think she was good when I first watched it .
Exactly. She got the role coz they wanted a Nepo kid to boost ratings. She is not a good actress and the other movies reflect that. Her best role so far was 50 shades and the most memorable. No one can recreate the book and not even E.L.James coz although she has creative input she has to listen to the producers. If it was only her then the movie would have been true to the book. Jamie was surprisingly terrible in it. Dakota was ok in it but any other actress would have done a better job.
Is it just me or is Jamie Dorian distancing himself from Fifty Shades of Grey? I have noticed he hasn’t anything about fifty shades of grey since the crap fest ended. What did they notice that the film they made was nothing but Twilight fan fiction
EL James copied Twilight and made it a porno… the names were changed for the characters for obvious reasons but the original is still online. Stephanie Meyers was right to be angry
There is no movie to begin with if there is no book. So it is just right EL is at the top. Know your place people! If this nepo celeb Dakota did not feel doing it at the time then leave. It is just shady and pointless to bad mouth it after a few years and at the same time in the same interview you will say that you were well taken care of..such passive aggressive behavior. instead of this, she should have spent more time on her skincare bec girl your skin looks saggy for a still young girl.
@@vuyon5317 i think what's mean is Dakota wanting to create drama out of something that has already been way in the past to get attention. Who is talking about fifty shades in 2022? Only her. If you read the article, she is being so passive aggressive. She has a problem with EL and there are some she does not want to mention bec she does not want to tarnish their reputation. And at the end, she also wants to establish that they were well taken care of and she does not regret doing the film. Girl, bipolar much?! Hot and cold?! It is such an immature move. She should have settled everything privately if she means well. The interview is just self serving and wants to put people in a bad light
The thing is once you sell the rights to your book, they can do what they want and adapt to what they think would be better in terms in screenwriting. I also think they were so kind in letting EL James be there, with her input when a lot of authors do not get a say on what their book will be like on the big screen.
Without Fifty Shades Dakota would still be looking for that “Big break” but with just One movie FSOG Dakota Johnson became Famous Worldwide. Also means that in allllll of those interviews she lied‼️ Just like her Limes 🙄

That movie plus 50 shades of grey romantize toxic and abusive males. I will never get the point of any of those movies. Christian grey wasn’t a good guy at all. Neither was the guy from 365
You must be kidding if you liked that crap is even worst than 50 shades of grey with worst acting, this movies are an insult to woman and our view of erotism and fantasy, I saw it as I couldn't believe this story has the success it had, I experienced second hand embarrassment for the author and Dakota that had to play that boring and absurd character, but I understand how actors have to get on board with popular projects to gain notoriety on their careers and be considered for future roles, Jamie D. Is forever embarrassed of this too, you can see him in interviews.
Exactly. 365 gave the 50 shades vibes and went further. Of course the English was bad in it but foreigners are not meant to be perfect in English. Plus the actors in 365 did what Dakota and Jamie couldn't. I wish they used new actors coz they do a better job than seasoned or Nepo actors.

As the economy crisis keep rising, one needs to have different streams of income, a well detailed diversified investment portfolio in the financial markets is needed to survive, as well as secure a profitable investment future!
You are absolutely right The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, silver and digital currencies(BTC, ETH..).
@Erica Oakley You actually need an expert trader assigned by a registered broker company to help you out. I currently trade with Mr Logan Willie he is the best when it comes to making high profits in the market !
I can't believe you guys are talking about Mr Logan. After watching so many TH-cam tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses not until I met Logan. he is now currently managing my account and I just made my second withdrawal yesterday.
@Grace meLotte The easiest way he can reply your messages is on WhatsApp

IM JUST GLAD THAT DAKOTA HAS THE SENSITIVE CHRIS MARTIN'S SHOULDER
NOW.....SHE NEEDED ROMANCE AFTER THAT MESS...
I loved Fifty Shades of Grey and all the other movies and he turned out to be a better Christian anyways 10x hotter then the. Original Christian
Beautiful
You’re very pretty Lady ❤️❤️💐
What is she complaining about ? She's only famous bc her parents are famous
The choice for Christian Grey was awfulllll she was wonderful. I didn’t watch anything past the first movie. He didn’t seem comfortable in the role
OH My Gosh Dude.
Sweet person
Jax from Sons of Anarchy !!
Never saw it. Just doesn’t appeal to me.
Is it just me or is Jamie Dorian distancing himself from Fifty Shades of Grey? I have noticed he hasn’t anything about fifty shades of grey since the crap fest ended. What did they notice that the film they made was nothing but Twilight fan fiction
It was her book…
Charlie Hunan would have been a WAY better actor for this
Beautiful 😍
I wonder what were the major differences between both versions? Specific scenes?
They should do a lesbian version
Funny cause the last two films were much better than the first one
EL James copied Twilight and made it a porno… the names were changed for the characters for obvious reasons but the original is still online. Stephanie Meyers was right to be angry
It must be tough to make a bad movie based on a bad book.
Poor her
That why the last two was a total disaster
There is no movie to begin with if there is no book. So it is just right EL is at the top. Know your place people! If this nepo celeb Dakota did not feel doing it at the time then leave. It is just shady and pointless to bad mouth it after a few years and at the same time in the same interview you will say that you were well taken care of..such passive aggressive behavior. instead of this, she should have spent more time on her skincare bec girl your skin looks saggy for a still young girl.
Lol, only dumbass would love the movie
that's unessessarily mean. what's wrong with saying that its not the movie she signed up for
@@vuyon5317 i think what's mean is Dakota wanting to create drama out of something that has already been way in the past to get attention.
If there was no twilight then there wouldn’t be a fifty shades of grey. Fifty Shades of Grey is Twilight fan fiction.
Fame has obviously gone to her brain🙄and she’s definitely lost me as a fan. I wouldn’t even know her without playing Anastasia. Also means that in allllll of those interviews she lied‼️ Just like her Limes 🙄
Why do they always twist shit like somethings wrong. Why can’t press just be honest? This shit is annoying.
Can they please remake this movie with Charlie Hunnam!? Pretty please!
LOvely
Es ist mehr privater Schutz für sie jetzt! Es ist viel geschehen innerhalb 2 Jahren!
Man soll nicht alles glauben, es gibt zu viele Lie!
That's why the last two films in the trilogy sucked ass.
Okay
Imagine that : consenting to being in a BDSM Film 🤔 R.A.C.K
can't we all agree it's a bad movie lol

Remember Dakota is NOT a real actor she is playing make believe on screen she has no classical training to be an actor
Then she’s a natural talent. Runs in her blood. She’s lovely and better than a lot of classically trained actors.
50 shades should be labeled as a comedy she’s great but those movies were funny not passionate watch 365 on Netflix it’s everything 50 shades shoulda been
That movie plus 50 shades of grey romantize toxic and abusive males.
365 is a joke, bad script, almost no storyline, overall bad movie. It is almost make 50 shades disney movie to me.
@@ayina111 sex fantasy movies aren’t supposed to have award winning scripts
The movies were shyte. Horribly miscast. Charlie Hunnam would have been the only one that could have made it believable instead of laughable.
That role traumatized her, forever. 🥺
Can I ask why?
@@yourcomfortzone2736
Method acting often spins actors into insanity. She had to become the character, not so easy to convince the soul it was just pretend. The sadistic abuse happened.
Aw ok. Thank you
I don't blame her if I was her position I could never do that movie she is brave the storyline is dark
@@noworneverzzz9888 did she confirm this??
