I miss San Diego growing up my whole family would do the grunion run at Imperial Beach good fishing spots on the pier brings back allot of memories. I'm looking forward on watching the other videos you will be posting out..

hey awesome vid man, watched the whole thing. how did you film on the beach? I wasn't able to ever get footage of grunion runs because my hands were full. It's also much harder in the LA area, I was only successful 2 out of 6 times, the other 4 not seeing any. Personally, I don't like the scales at all, I had to get rid of them and I agree it's a LOT of work so yeah, I don't like grunion that much haha. I also prefer the tartar sauce not sweet, so just straight dill relish, like McDonalds! anyway, since you're in SD, I'm sure you'll be able to get pismo clams. I know there's a sizeable population there. I tried only once, at Coronado beach in front of the hotels, but was unsuccessful. I think further south though, definitely. let me know what you get!
