summer nostalgia reflections from a 35-year-old

Enjoying summer in your thirties is difficult when you bring the expectations of a 20-year old - it turns into nostalgia instead. Life just feels different when growing up... As this summer is coming to an end, I find myself reflecting and journaling on all the expectations I set, and how I feel about them. Comparing to the youthful summer memories makes me realise I am indeed in my mid thirties, and times are different now. Maybe the life lesson is to find peace with that, and let go of expectations to let the Universe surprise and delight us in new ways.
