Having practically been raised on a dirtbike, these trials riders still blow my mind. Mad props keep up the good work! I'm staying away; low speed falls are always the most painful...and you really can't "avoid" the rock in these cases. I much prefer skipping along dirt at 60mph post fall.

I've spent the last couple of days gorging on Tony Bou vids. He is amazing, a prodigy. And obviously a hard training athlete. I keep coming back to some fundamental "how do you do this?" kind of questions - at a technical level. Anyone recommend a good website or two? Where do you put your body weight? What gear/s are you in. How much power is applied (from all to not a lot)? All these technical questions.

Agreed. I realize there are times when balancing on just the rear wheel is the way to clear an obstacle. Other times though, I swear he's doing it just to make it more fun/challenging because otherwise it would get boring for him. Amazing balance and beyond "in tune" with his machine - it's a cliche but it really does seem to be an extension of his arms and legs. I hope it is always as much fun for him as it is for us to watch it.

This is truly amazing riding. I have never seen video of a motorcyclist doing anything remotely comparable before.... BUT... try watching someone like Danny MacAskill on a trials bicycle.
I know of the techniques and skills required of both sports, Bou is better at his sport then Danny at his sport. Danny does things that are more dangerous and looks cooler, does not mean it is harder. The minute details and skills of Bou`s riding can only really be understood if you are a mototrials rider yourself. Bou is a true professional athlete, Danny is a highly skilled performer.
