I was just there in May..it was amazing and hot and humid but i did rent a motorcycle for 3 days riding up and down the coast Puerto Viejo..we stayed in playa negla Airbnb... right down the road from super k grocery store across the road is the motorcycle rental his name is dako cool dude...go to the jaguar rescue reserve and see the sloth's...we stayed in turrialba first before Puerto Viejo.
We got the public bus! Super easy and cheap, it wasn't worth booking a private transfer. Wherever your staying should have updated bus times when you are there :)

We stayed at Casa Wolaba, it was good and I would stay there again! We spent 5 nights to have 4 full days and were happy with that amount of time :)
