An engineering masterpiece, this is great to see watch manufacturers pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, however, I reckon Omega have something in the bag….. let’s see what happens in the next round!
Omega still hold the world record at over 16,000m deep however they chose to create the ultra deep which is 7,500m but actually wearable. @@uglynugget914 I’m not kidding myself. If you look at the history of how Rolex became as big as it has, it was all about public perception, the Rolex explorer is a prime example. @@watchsixto not sure that's true! You only have to look at the popularity of the Explorer, where many think it was the first watch on Everest's summit - it wasn't, that was a Smiths watch, but Rolex have the marketing nouse and budget to change the perception. Also in many cases the first to do something is great however quite often in engineering a competitor will learn from the episode and produce a rival that has features or design to address the former's issues..... I think Omega and Rolex will keep going head to head for years and including improvements on both the Ultra Deep and Deepsea Challenge.

I remember when I was selling my Submariner Bi Metal (blue dial) looking at the then better Sea Dweller everyone banged on about heft, thickness, rattles, being top heavy etc etc I love it. This is a cracking watch. In its on right. Great Review
I'd love to see Sinn answer the challenge and make a name for themselves in one hit, rather than Omega, and release an oil-filled 15,000m diver...and in true Sinn style, 12mm thick. 😁 Glad to see you're looking healthy and well sir. Just catching up on some vids! 🥃😉👍
Sinn with their Oil Filled machines could crush this... You're right! If there's one brand I'd want to see explore this it would be them 🔥 And thank you sir (everything thats been going on behind the camera, I'm quite surprised I'm still going 😆)
@@bloodymarvelous4790 But this „innovation“ has a standard 3230 movement inside. 🤷🏼♂️ I love Rolex, have a SkyDweller and an Explorer II myself but the helium valve was developed way back with Doxa, the movement is not new, ring lock is old, and there are way more depth resistant watches like the h2o for lower prices and in smaller cases… where is the innovation?
The Sinn UX case is rated to 12000m, based on their in-house testing. They do not talk about it, since it is impossible to test it in real life conditions. That's Sinn for you.
Crystal a centimetre thick!!!! This thing is an absolute beast. From an engineering perspective, wow. Good for them. This is going to be highly prohibitive from owning due to its size/price/rarity etc but to me it’s a statement piece. We are the best. And credit where it’s due. Amazing. Thanks for the video, great as ever
Best release in a long time. Huge size provides a new center of gravity for the entire Rolex range. So cool that it goes to the deepest point in the ocean.
Great review of an amazing piece. Good call with your previous video predictions. Too big for me. 😢 I assumed the RLX Titanium name was simply down to a keyboard fault with certain vowels. 😊
I think a real game-changer for Rolex would be to come up with a design they haven't been making for more than half a century. You'll be holding your breath long enough that you'll need more than specialised diving equipment :)
Rolex was a company that used to push boundaries and thrive in innovation, now their innovations are change dial color and add water resistance, I love their designs but they are stagnated from many decades now
Have to commend the depth (sorry!) of your research and the quality of your production. Imo, I appreciate that Rolex is pushing engineering boundaries again. Thank you for your thoughts and insights, rarely do watch channels respect the design behind watches☘
A technical marvel, but yet again, a case of Rolex giving the fan base exactly what they didn’t ask for. “Give us a Submariner on an Oysterflex!” Screams the Rolex collectors, Rolex says “Here’s a two tone explorer!”, “Where’s the Oysterflex Sub?” asks the fan base, “Here’s a left handed GMT in really ugly colours!” says Rolex. They do it on purpose.
I recommend Watchfinder & Co.'s video on this. They cdetail the Omega vs Rolex battle for the depths very well, & point out that the actual watches used on those expeditions to the bottom of the Marianas trench were actually prototypes, rated to 15000 metres. Omega have apparently gone marginally deper than Rolex with their prototype, *but* Rolex have made a big leap by making their 11000 metre watch a production item, so bravo Rolex!
Look forward to watching. Matey, please get your hands on the opposite of this rolex (my 36mm Hamilton khaki pilot pioneer).... I know I've said this before but it is STUNNING
I recieved your email and LOVE it. Honestly, such a super move to go after these brother... I'm very, very biased, but the aesthetic of that W10 just pips it. Cushion case, clean dial with texture, , mechanical... what else do you need?? 🥃
@@ID-Guy that's exactly it! It feels like a gorgeous little pebble on the wrist. Just pure class. I got a bulang and sons strap for it (Speedy black)...its just a comfy classy piece. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where? Marty DiBergi : I don't know. Nigel Tufnel : Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Marty DiBergi : Put it up to eleven. Nigel Tufnel : Eleven. Exactly. One louder. Marty DiBergi : Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder? Nigel Tufnel : [pause] These go to eleven
All of a suden the deepsea challenge makes the regular 44 mm deepsea lighter and more wearable. It highlights also how important is the Pelagos in the story of Rolex Tudor evolution. Deepsea challenge shoukd remain for a long time the ultimate version of Rolex divers.
Wow. A return to proper tool watches by Rolex. Titanium, and fully brushed (but why not a matt bezel). This could open the floodgates to more titanium models in future...interesting....However, I'm excited about the return of the chamfers....almost like mirrored anglage...🥃
For me the only thing they can do now is to improve the dimensions which will come with technical development. How long that takes though who knows. To make this superlative in terms of accuracy is just bonkers too 🥃

@@ID-Guy Love me my Omegas. Just funny that Rolex just went to the ocean bottom on this one. Bring a shovel if you wanna win now Omega. Being the 10 year anniversary of the D-Blue I could see it going away is all. Great video as always. Miss the lives!
@@chadhansen2198 this never went to the bottom of the ocean as far as I am aware. This has only been tested in a lab. Omega tested their watch in the actual ocean.
Great job as always and interesting points. But… you’re grasping. You know very, very few of these watches will ever get wet - the low numbers are going to celebrities and very longstanding Rolex customers.
I know, I know... the same Navy diver I mention in the video is hoping to get one in a year or two SO there's at least one person in the world who deservingly is going to use it like the brick it is 😉
Would be cool if he did. I’m a tech guy now - Mch Eng by education - so I’m impressed - and trust me, if they make a documentary about how they designed and tested the watch, I’ll definitely watch.
As with halo and/or hypercars it's the trickle down effect that's potentially significant. It's because of Tesla and Rimac that regular mid-sized family SUVs can now comfortably do 0-100 times that used to be sports car exclusive. I'm not entirely sure what could trickle down from the nostrils of this freaking beast that we as normal watch guys could benefit from, but hey, I thought my analogy read as somewhat sophisticated anyway. 😅
Compression resistance and expansion resistance are not even close to similar. When the watch is compressed, the ring keeps the watch from collapsing. When the watch is expanded, the screw threads are all that keep the watch together. Screw threads will fail well before a solid metal ring. The only way you can keep a watch from exploding, is to keep pressure from accumulating over the course of time. For that you need to seal a watch to the extent that even the smallest gas molecules (He) can't pass the barriers. You can't do that with rubber o-rings. You'll need metal gaskets.
This is why I love dive watches rather than just luxury bling... technical masterpieces and bringing genuine competition to the market...I have seen the Kalmar watch registered to 25000 metres but very few reviews... any thoughts? Ps great review
This watch has a Rolex DNA that goes all the way back to the 1953s Sub. Evolutionary chain is now complete Sub -> Sea Dweller -> Deep Sea -> Deep Sea Challenge. Each new model is built on the foundation of the predecessor. Hence the so familiar and maybe even ubiquitous looks and tech. What’s interesting is the use of Titanium. Is Titanium Stainless Steel of the XXIst century? A material for true modern tool watches. Tudor released all Pelagos watches in Titanium. Now Rolex starts with the Deep Sea Challenge.
Yup I’ve got over 9inch wrists so that’s a bit of me even though I won’t ever be able to afford one😢 I’m also an Omega Fan and now the Gauntlet has been thrown down by Rollie I still can’t see Omega Topping this just to be top dog as what’s the point🤔,None of us are ever going that deep so it’s just boys with toys if you get one or own one, Plus most WIS Dive watch owners won’t even get their Divers Wet😜⌚️
As a piece of engineering it really is a great achievement, you would have no worries if it fell off your wrist into the Mariana Trench, the watch would survive. If you just happen to have a deep sea sub at your disposal you could pop down and get it back maybe as long as some unknown deep sea being hasn't beaten you to it. But that isn't the point of this watch. As a production item it is incredible. Why did Rolex make this watch? Because they can and should be applauded. What next? I dunno but I'd guess some one just might produce a GMT version as I guess a Chronograph with its pushers is probably a week point for water ingress. Well done Rolex.
I think it is obvious that Omega chose to make a more reasonable size and wearable version of the experimental watches. The experimental models actually went to the deepest point as opposed to just being tested. This is a cool factor. If they wanted to release this version, I believe it was the same size. This is just physics of dealing with the immense pressure. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should is likely the Omega approach on the Ultra Deep 6000M.
Watching this, with my totally inadequate, smp 300m, on my wrist,, 😭,,, it's like a Moonswatch, compared to this monster of the deep,, 😀😀.,, great video btw,, 👍.,
Of course the haters cannot stop hating 🙄. It is an amazing piece of engineering. Omega's version is 5mm smaller in diameter, but with Rolex's has twice the WR. Both watches are quite difficult to wear due to their dimensions, but it is amazing to see this level of engineering.
Omega outclassed the Deep-sea with a watch comparable in size whereas Rolex produced a dinner plate to beat Omega. The Rolex is not only 50mm but 23.5mm. The Omega is 45mm by 18.1 and the OG Deep-sea is 44mm by 17.7mm. The Rolex is far bigger watch and less wearable than the Omega.
@@almac9203 The Rolex is 5mm bigger in diameter indeed, but 5K higher WR. Not even close. That is where the magic of the engineering is. I have a Planet Ocean. 43.5mm 600WR. A very thick watch as well. My Deepsea JCE is 44mm, but with more than 5X the WR. No Helium valve required btw. Eventually Omega had to produce a real contender. The Deepsea seems to be more wearable than the Ultra Deep. Of course I just tried it on for a couple of minutes at one Omega's boutique. I have owned a Deepsea for a couple of years.
@@hugohernandez3651 where is the engineering when omega outclassed the Deepsea with the Ultra Deep that is barely bigger? Compare the dimensions of the OG Deepsea and Ultra Deep and you will see that the Ultra Deep goes over 50 percent deeper whilst barely bigger. The Rolex challenge isn't just slightly bigger but laughably bigger. 50mm by 23.5mm is not close to the Omega in dimensions. The Rolex isn't just wider but look at how thick that is. It is basically a dinner plate.
@@hugohernandez3651 the ploprof dimensions are actually misleading. If you try one on it wears far more comfortably than the dimensions would indicate. It is a quirky design so it is difficult to compare to more conventional designs. I think the amazing engineering task is how superior the Ultra Deep is to the Deepsea without resorting to just supersizing the watch. That is engineering. Anyone can make a hockey Puck sized watch.
I’d wear the hell out of it. I’m a big guy, all my watches in are above 42mm, and i think the Deepsea Challenge is incredible. I mean I would never, ever purchase one lol but if a client or family member gifted it to me (😂) I probably wouldn’t ever take it off.
If possible make a review on sea wolf avenger brietling comparing the robustness , the price & all other specs .of the watch vs deep sea & the omega ultra deep
Funny thing - some Rolex fun boys used to say that the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms was the perfect diver but too large … now they will go out and defend this monster of watch 😂😂😂
I'm seeing the opposite at the same time too! Even the fanboys are hating the size 😆 Think we can all agree it's ridiculous as a size BUT the big wristies could pull this off easily
Omega's fanboys made a huge deal when the Ultra deep was released (Rightfully so). Now they look for every single thing to critize this amazing piece of engineering. I will continue wearing my Planet Ocean that is as thick as my Deepsea. 🤣....just for desk diving.
@@hugohernandez3651 the difference is the Ultra Deep is wearable. It outclassed the Deep-sea with a watch comparable in size whereas Rolex produced a 50mm by 23.5mm watch which is ridiculous.
Obviously, this raises the bar for useful tool watches. The next step must be a 72mm diver able to survive the pressures near Jupiter’s center, operating reliably at temperatures of Venus and Pluto, and keeping Earth time while traveling at 99% of the speed of light. Must be small enough for a Klingon to wear comfortably😂
But this watch has never actually travelled to its rated depth. Omega still hold the world depth record a few metres more than Rolex achieved with James Cameron. A strong bid by Rolex to outdo Omega for sure. But I'm not sure its a game changer to have a watch that says it can go somewhere it has in fact never been, and where no-one in their right mind ever actually intends to go. Obviously the engineering is impressive and may, or may not, yield technologies that can be applied to lesser watches. Personally I'd still take it off when I'm doing the washing up, so it wouldn't really be a game changer for me 🤷♂
What innovation 💡? ROLEX USES A movement used, in other unobtainable watches, for us , regular folk, and Titanium, which is already used in other Deep capability divers, of other brands. Building an enormous case, just to brag, that you can go no deeper on the ocean floor, is ridiculous. OMEGA, ,already beat Rolex, with the Ultra Deep, prototype, when it was part of the Deep Five, expedition.!
I love the watch but no one can travel to that depth and physically be in the water wearing the watch on his/her wrist. It however, is Rolex’s technically most advanced watch.
Thanks for the video! I think this watch serves several purposes for Rolex: 1. It reminds everyone that Rolex is a technical brand and not just a luxury one. 2. It’s not a watch to wear, it’s a tool watch to admire as a technological marvel. 3. It makes a point to differentiate itself from Tudor: - Pelagos 39 : Grade 2 Titanium, lifestyle - Rolex Deep sea: Grade 5 titanium, professional You admire this watch not for the money it represents but for its technological achievement. Rolex going back to its core value.
On the money Thomas! That's really what I wanted people to take away from this release. It's not for everyone BUT for the rare few and can be admired for what it's achieved as a "consumable" diver 🥃
Why do they go from here? They keep the same depth rating for something half the size through advancement in engineering and materials. Like a front loading watch with a tungsten core for example.
Ahhh, another watch that people cannot buy! Well done Rolex, alienate every customer. Omega have nicer watches now anyway. A beast of a watch as well. However, another classy video by yourself.
Unfortunately yes BUT hopefully the lucky few who get these are die-hard divers (in an ideal world 😆) Must say, I removed a section in the video about me preferring the aesthetics of the Ultra Deep buuut didn't want to steal Rolex's thunder. Thank you as always Pooh! 🥃
I love the fact that the Rolex fanboys are rushing around saying that this is the deepest dive Watch of them all and beats the Omega Ultra Deep. Well, Omega still have the record for the Watch that can go deepest. Granted it is not commercially available but, the record still stands at 15,000m with the Ultra Deep prototype FOD-X1. Not 11,000 that the Rolex can go to. Well, at least Rolex fanboys will now hopefully start to appreciate what a great material Titanium is when used to build Watches. A Titanium Explorer II would be awesome! Another great video here boet. ✊

If you’re saying that Rolex aren’t the best at this and that this doesn’t play a part in their marketing, then you are kidding yourself
@@davidb5720 I never said that Rolex is not mastered in the art of marketing, my reply to your statement was based on your comment about Only Rolex does this and Omega is all about silently being the best.
Omega is far from being the best, great watches yes, wide selection yes but far from the best.
That is insane how deep are they willing to go both Omega and Rolex
The Depth measuring contest continues 😆🥃
@@ID-Guy guess whoever reaches the bottom and make it all the way wins lol
@@watchsixto not sure that's true! You only have to look at the popularity of the Explorer, where many think it was the first watch on Everest's summit - it wasn't, that was a Smiths watch, but Rolex have the marketing nouse and budget to change the perception. Also in many cases the first to do something is great however quite often in engineering a competitor will learn from the episode and produce a rival that has features or design to address the former's issues..... I think Omega and Rolex will keep going head to head for years and including improvements on both the Ultra Deep and Deepsea Challenge.
Has anyone heard of the H20 Kalmar 25000, it's made of titanium and under £2000
It's a game changer because it's the first watch designed to be worn on the ankle.
I’m more excited about the fact that maybe chamfered edges are coming back to Rolex!
Right??? Full Titanium Explorer with Chamfers confirmed! 😉🥃
Awesome video. Learned quite a few new things in this one, really enjoyed it.
6:50 you may need a helium escape valve if you are sitting in a saturation dive habitat and decide to unscrew your crown in a helium pressurized atmosphere to adjust the time or, if there is a date version, change the date after a 30 day month.
Next Is a challenge to Omega match the dept in a more wearable watch. Great review usual.
A truly stunning watch. Just hope the AD favours me!
I remember when I was selling my Submariner Bi Metal (blue dial) looking at the then better Sea Dweller everyone banged on about heft, thickness, rattles, being top heavy etc etc
I love it.
This is a cracking watch. In its on right.
Great Review
What is the footage of the one WITH the date complication?
That's the "Deepsea Challenge" of 2012 that was attached to Cameron's Sub - basically the inspiration for this new model that can now be bought 🥃
@@ID-Guy yes! Thank uou
I'd love to see Sinn answer the challenge and make a name for themselves in one hit, rather than Omega, and release an oil-filled 15,000m diver...and in true Sinn style, 12mm thick. 😁
Glad to see you're looking healthy and well sir.

They win the “depth” measuring contest🤣 I love it I want one
Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but the dot dash dot on the crown is also morse code for the letter R. Coincidence?
Very cool. I’d love to see it in person.
GrAcie 4 your review. Get going 🚀
Didn't omega also have a non-production version of their ultra deep that actually went 11k meters or am I remembering wrong.
You're right! I tried to feature it many times (it was the one on the bright blue strap) and is actually pressure tested beyond 15k's 🥃
OMEGA Ultra deep is the real king 👑. rolex is for fans not for the sea.
What’s class would be new tech that can allow the same depth but still wearable under 42mm and thickness less than 15mm
Very true... Wouldn't put it past brands like Seiko or Sinn to create something like this 🥃
I‘m gonna wait for the Rainbow Deepsea Challenge…
Rainbow bezel? Pavé dial? Count me in! 🔥
"it can only be three letters" the Director said 😆 Love it. 50x23 (and the L2L is probably like 55mm's) is just... monstrous! 🥃
@@ID-Guy Same keyboard for the FXD - those dammed sticking keys for the vowels. 🤣🤣
This watch is grotesque. It is the horological equivalent of Flav-a-flav wearing an alarm clock hanging from his neck.
I can just see rappers going mad for this watch right now... skinny lil wrists with this hokey puck on 😆
Hey hey hey...that was a Timex around his neck. Show some wuv.
Not the prettiest, but it’s about the brawn, and technical beauty.
How do you rate Omega’s UltraDeep(Sea)’s looks?
It's not meant to be pretty..it d meant to break records
I'd take one for sure tomorrow!
It's a pleasure to share Niallv and thank you for taking the time to watch the clip! Really means a lot 🥃
Let’s not forget that Bell & Ross Hydromax that is certified to 11km too! They were waaaay ahead of the game
Nobody cares about B&R.
I've not liked a watch this much before. The hand winding is a real joy too... and the dial is a grey stone.. it looks prehistoric in certain light.
It's a halo piece, and not expected to be high volume. That being said, I would rock this all day on my 7.375" wrist. However, at $26K, not anytime soon!
Nigel Tufnel : The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi : Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel : Exactly.
Marty DiBergi : Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel : Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten.

Nice but is it save to keep on wrist while showering?
I wouldn't risk it... Rolex's and water. Yikes! 😆
i want this watch so damn badly.
All of a suden the deepsea challenge makes the regular 44 mm deepsea lighter and more wearable. It highlights also how important is the Pelagos in the story of Rolex Tudor evolution.
Deepsea challenge shoukd remain for a long time the ultimate version of Rolex divers.
Great point. It's pretty unreal how the Pelagos has paved the way (and proved the concept) 🥃
Wow. A return to proper tool watches by Rolex. Titanium, and fully brushed (but why not a matt bezel). This could open the floodgates to more titanium models in future...interesting....However, I'm excited about the return of the chamfers....almost like mirrored anglage...🥃
I think if I need a frying pan when diving this one meets the criteria.
This is the “King Tiger” of Rolex watches.
first decent review bingo
I tried...and am getting lambasted 😆 All we can do is try though 🥃
For me the only thing they can do now is to improve the dimensions which will come with technical development. How long that takes though who knows. To make this superlative in terms of accuracy is just bonkers too 🥃
I’m glad it exists….I will be more impressed when they can miniaturize and achieve those depths…
Yup - and/or use what they learned when/if a time comes when the tech is useful for looking skyward?
It’s pretty much the only (production) watch that can go to the bottom of the world, where as any watch could have gone to the moon 🌝
I’m waiting for the two-tone version
This is a concept watch, just to tell that this can go at 11000m. Well, good job Rolex for the performance.
It’s a nice watch, the real tool watch.
I have a a good wrist, perfect for my Blancpain FF 45mm and my Omega PO 45,5mm
But 50mm, huge!
And I’m not talking about the price!
Only for professional diver, collection or Superman
50mm's is massive I agree... and the price is just as huge. But hey, pretty amazing feat. Great choices between the FF and the PO, two stellar watches that I'd have in a heartbeat! 🥃
It's not a concept. It's a production watch.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 i want to see one of this days someone have this piece on his wrist.

Omega for 15000m ?
Mic drop by Rolex to Omega. Wonder if the D-Blue Cameron dial will be discontinued.
As an Omega fanboy, I have to agree this is an absolute slam dunk. And I feel like the JC will still be around. The difference between 44mm's and 50mm's is night and day 😆 Like taking a 36mm Explorer and comparing its size to a 42mm Pelagos haha! 🥃
@@almac9203 Don't disagree at all.
Due to that ring lock mechanism, the dial itself looks way too small in comparison to the rest of the watch and especially the dive bezel.
Very good point David! Something that Omega has nailed nicely with their latest pieces 🥃
The first watch visible from space.
Bet it gets amazing AM/FM coverage with a dish that size 😆🥃
I'm a submarine, I need this watch! 🤣🙃
Next up... "Center of the Earth: 1 Million Miles Deep Invicta" 🤣
Evolutionary chain is now complete
Sub -> Sea Dweller -> Deep Sea -> Deep Sea Challenge.
Yup I’ve got over 9inch wrists so that’s a bit of me even though I won’t ever be able to afford one😢
I’m also an Omega Fan and now the Gauntlet has been thrown down by Rollie I still can’t see Omega Topping this just to be top dog as what’s the point🤔,None of us are ever going that deep so it’s just boys with toys if you get one or own one,
Plus most WIS Dive watch owners won’t even get their Divers Wet😜⌚️
This watch is t my cup of tea, but release it in moderate dimensions, and I’m sold!
With a case that thick it needs a HEV to break up the non crown side.
I agree, it does give that side something instead of being a horrendously large slab side. Aesthetics 😉
Very good point here Greg 🥃
Incredible!!! This is a super professional watch. The brushing look awesome.
Watching this, with my totally inadequate,
smp 300m, on my wrist,, 😭,,, it's like a Moonswatch, compared to this monster of the deep,, 😀😀.,,
great video btw,, 👍.,
H2O Kalmar 2 Deep Dive is certified to 25,000 meters. And that in a 44mm case
I forgot the Ploprof. Amazing watch...a 55mm x 48mm beast!...1200WR. Not even close to Deepsea WR.
I’m buying one as soon as the AD let’s me
Omega
has gone to Mars
I’d wear the hell out of it. I’m a big guy, all my watches in are above 42mm, and i think the Deepsea Challenge is incredible. I mean I would never, ever purchase one lol but if a client or family member gifted it to me (😂) I probably wouldn’t ever take it off.
Next goal would be to keep reducing the size of these deep divers. If that's possible
Nice to see Rolex making an actual tool watch again without the bling
I'm so glad someone pointed this out! 🥃
If possible make a review on sea wolf avenger brietling comparing the robustness , the price & all other specs .of the watch vs deep sea & the omega ultra deep
Titanium sub incoming.
You had called it. No one else was talking about it. Here it is
Funny thing - some Rolex fun boys used to say that the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms was the perfect diver but too large … now they will go out and defend this monster of watch 😂😂😂
Cool watch. Hell yes its for us larger guys like a monster truck. Just another toy to add. More toys more fun.
bel and ross did the hydromax back in 2012, 11100m depth
Obviously, this raises the bar for useful tool watches. The next step must be a 72mm diver able to survive the pressures near Jupiter’s center, operating reliably at temperatures of Venus and Pluto, and keeping Earth time while traveling at 99% of the speed of light. Must be small enough for a Klingon to wear comfortably😂
Who knew Rolex would make a titanium watch?
Next, a watch that can withstand a 20 ton hydraulic press!
Personally I'd still take it off when I'm doing the washing up, so it wouldn't really be a game changer for me 🤷♂
That’s what I was waiting for. Did they go deeper yet then omega yet…No? Hmmm….ok…
Why the bezel in on minute? If you are diving to like 11000m, you should consider spending hours underwater. Minute bezel looks odd.
I love the watch but no one can travel to that depth and physically be in the water wearing the watch on his/her wrist. It however, is Rolex’s technically most advanced watch.
Thanks for the video! I think this watch serves several purposes for Rolex:
1. It reminds everyone that Rolex is a technical brand and not just a luxury one.
2. It’s not a watch to wear, it’s a tool watch to admire as a technological marvel.
3. It makes a point to differentiate itself from Tudor:
- Pelagos 39 : Grade 2 Titanium, lifestyle
- Rolex Deep sea: Grade 5 titanium, professional
You admire this watch not for the money it represents but for its technological achievement. Rolex going back to its core value.
On the money Thomas! That's really what I wanted people to take away from this release. It's not for everyone BUT for the rare few and can be admired for what it's achieved as a "consumable" diver 🥃
Love it. In times where even Breitling cut it's balls and them of the Superocean....I appreciate this.
I can only wear this watch on my ankle:)
We can’t even fathom??😂
@@ID-Guy No worries, just keep making great videos and I will always comment, and thumbs up!
I'm not a fanboy btw. I'll never buy a Rolex, it's off my list of desired watches
@@fark69 I hope no offence was taken. Apologies if it was. I guess being more of an Omega fanboy I got carried away with my comment.
