It's so great to see that a man who played a nice guy character that I enjoyed for years seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Great he made it out the other side--in multiple ways.
We met David at a Con this year and during his Q&A he told the De Niro story. When he said the punchline, "I'm gonna take the stairs." The room exploded with laughter. One of the funniest things I've seen.
David seems like a great guy who appears to have mellowed his whole outlook on life as a result of having to deal with such dramatic health problems. This was a very interesting episode and I will definitely check out his work. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving 💖
Without question this is your greatest episode. What a man David is. He will always be Bernard, head elf to me but his work in Oppenheimer was outstanding. Once again, world class episode.
Love this week’s episode what a great guy Love David Krumholtz♥️ He has worked with so many amazing people, loved him in The Santa Claus as Bernard. Great choice this week we need more people like David so down to earth. David's openness is going to help so many people with their mental health journey. I am glad that he is better and caught the cancer in its early stages. I was lucky just like David back in 2013 I was diagnosed with throat cancer and caught it and it’s early stages. I had to have surgery and treatment it was awful but worth it. Not everyone is so lucky I lost my mother to colon cancer in 2010 and lost my older sister to lung and brain cancer lasted February a day before my 40 year old daughter had her first baby. I really enjoy listening to you David and Michael. Another awesome episode ♥️
I don't know if there is a way to get this to him, but David's performance on Numb3rs inspired me to study mathematics at university, so I would very much like to thank him for that :)
Never saw “Numbers” (Maybe I’ll check that out!) Loved him in “The Santa Clause” and “ Ten Things I Hate About You”! I’m so glad he came out on the other side of his dark time!!❤
It’s a fun binge watch if you enjoy serial buddy cop sort of dramas. One brother works for the FbI and the other is a genius math professor. He winds up lending his expertise to solve cases but since they are such polar ends of the spectrum they conflict. Their father plays a nice middle ground guy. It’s fun if you enjoy that sort of content.
Awesome episode today Rosenbaum! Love David Krumholtz and his show Numbers. It was one I watched with my daughters. Any way by far the funniest part was the tube socks. I had to pause the video. It is always so great when people are open about what got them through to the other side of what's going on. Much love
Numb3rs is still one of my fav all time shows and I’m super pleased David is doing better and turning out fantastic performances again. Also, Michael, I love your hockey night in canada t-shirt!
Lol best rated ER episodes EVER of the series it was so intensely memorable though. Yeah i adored him in The Santa Clause and then watched the ER arc and those two things left such an impression on me in such different ways lol.
Its honestly relieving to know that someone as talented and as successful as David can have mental issues and be open enough to talk about them. Hearing it helps. Idk. Thanks David if you ever see this.
Mr. Universe!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 In your case, I'd say Mr. Nolan was lucky to have you and it's awesome that he made you do so many takes. The right take is sometimes hard to get to. Insert Nathan Fillion: "Hard to get to???"
Love your podcast @michael Rosenbaum your a very sweet, lovely, guy and you are good enough I would love to see your show live if I could, yeah happy early thanksgiving sounds fun thanksgiving you have, wow I can relate to this guy I have an underactive thyroid x
I love numb3rs sooo much I've rewatched it probably 10 times all the way thru each time... I was so sad when it was cancelled after season 5 I would love to see a reunion or a reboot. I doubt it will happen now hearing him say it was a monotamous job.... I only ever gave numbers a chance because it had David in it. I knew him from being cereal king in life with Mikey but I really watch it because it had Bernard from the Santa Claus and I loved seeing David come back as Bernard to close that story line in The Santa Claus series last year it was my favorite episode gave me goosebumps!!
David did such a great job in Oppenheimer and I didn't even recognize him. Love his work in Santa Claus, 10 Things I Hate About You and his scene with Jay Baruchel in This is the End is hilarious lol
This episode is so powerful. David’s openness about his mental health journey is going to help so many people. I am glad that he is doing better both physically and mentally. David definitely has an interesting career. Numbers is such a great show. I enjoyed all of his behind the scenes stories. His Dinenro story was interesting. We definitely need a part 2. This podcast is the highlight of my Tuesday. Best podcast ever!
Just saw Oppenheimer for the first time tonight which makes this interview kind of timely for me. Christopher Nolan much like Quentin Tarantino has a fantastic ability to cast underappreciated actors in certain roles. David Krumholtz was a welcome surprise in the movie as was Josh Hartnett, Matthew Modine, James Remar and Tom Conti as Einstein. Never knew much about David's backstory but I'm so glad he's made his Hollywood comeback.
Ryan's predicament with his building manager should make him thank his stars that he doesn't live in Switzerland. It's illegal to flush a toilet there after 10 pm.
David played Isidor Rabi beautifully. He delivered one of the best lines in the movie imo. "We are Scientists. They need us for who we are. So be yourself. -Only better :)"
Since David mentioned Klaus Kinski as one of his favourite actors, he can be glad he likely never met him in person. He is known to have had a VERY difficult personality.
Well, this explains how Krumholtz got the role of Isidor Rabi, the chubby, sweet, morally centered, Jewish physicist, best friend of Oppenheimer, and future Nobel Prize winner. Had to look him up, did not recognize him from the movie, he lost so much weight.
I like David a lot. He has a great blend of personality traits that I really like. He's pure, genuine, humble, has self esteem mixed with vulnerability but is honest about his good and bad traits. Even though this is the first time I have ever heard of David I could definitely be good friends with him. I wish him the best in the future and I hope his cancer doesn't return.
I should say I love seeing him back on The Santa Clause cause that is where he should be, I don't care how he looked I just loved seeing his character back
Incredible podcast ! Even if i don’t know David well as an actor, it was amazing to discover the human being with great sensitivity like you, Michael !! 👍💘💘💙💙💖💖
I love and respect all the work he's done, but every single time I see his face I go "Bernard!". It's good to know that even after 9 months of struggling, you can still get out of it. Thanks.
Amazing interview . Very insightful. Wish Michael asked David about working with Heath Ledger especially considering he and ledger both worked with Nolan
Watching Numb3rs on Discovery nightly on weekdays. It’s one of the rare show that depicts father/son and brothers’ relationship/love. You don’t get show like this anymore.
I loved him since I saw him in “The Santa Clause” all those years ago (now my daughter loves him in the reboot series). This past Monday I was watching the old “Addams Family Values” for the first time and who do I see? It was him! So young but that voice is so recognizable. I got all excited and told my husband “honey look!!” and shared where I’ve seen him. A few days later I realize it’s time to check out this week’s IOU Podcast and who is the guest? David Krumholtz! And what a nice, genuine, honest dude. Some day of course I’ll watch Oppenheimer, especially now I know he’s in it. Anyway that’s my long story. Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!
He was one of the actors who stood out in Oppenheimer for me what a great performance. First time I saw David was over 20 years ago (10 things I hate about you) always thought he’d become a big actor. Can’t believe no one casted him on the big screen for so long. Just shows you keep doing what you love and one day it’ll blossom. Hope to see him in more movies!
As a doc and I can tell you, ozempic is NO mircale solution, and with the right lifestyle and treatment of the underlying conditions he would probably have lost weight on his own. the emphasis is on healthy weight loss, so that you won't create problems afterwards. Ozempic causes stomach paralysis, hence the fullness and burps, you can't digest what you're eating properly. if you go off the drug, the weight will be put on again. there are currently investigations underway because there also is a signal for increased suicidal thoughts and depression (serotonin is produced in the gut, a drug that causes gastric dysfunction impedes this). that said, I can understand the hard time he was going through and the double relief of having a treatable cancer and making progress on the weight loss front.
I really only know David from "The Santa Clause", where I enjoyed his character. Hearing him talk about his life and journey to where he is now was eye opening. I loved his honesty and it really made this episode real (as all are, but I think you know what I mean). His vulnerability and putting himself out there was inspiring and I know I took something from his episode. You do a good job bringing your guests out of their shell, Michael. Another fantastic episode and a thank you to David for sharing all that he did.
Was blowing through Numb3rs for about the fourth time and then I see David in Oppenheimer. Watched David's TH-cam channel after he disappeared for awhile and so sad that he had to struggle so much with health. So happy now to see him finally get a role he deserved and get the accolades for the incredible job he did. Live long and prosper David. Loved you then....love you now.
Really great interview! I love hearing his Oppenheimer stories and really appreciated his personal story and the way he shared it. Glad he got to play this role
David did not suck in Oppenheimer. One of my fave characters in it. Brilliant chat as always ❤
It's so great to see that a man who played a nice guy character that I enjoyed for years seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Great he made it out the other side--in multiple ways.

I am power watching numbers. He was also good with James Franco in the Deuce.
Awesome episode today Rosenbaum! Love David Krumholtz and his show Numbers. It was one I watched with my daughters. Any way by far the funniest part was the tube socks. I had to pause the video. Thank you for sharing David - appreciate you. You are not boring. Thank you as well Michael for the excellent discussion with David.
Numb3rs is still one of my fav all time shows and I’m super pleased David is doing better and turning out fantastic performances again. Also, Michael, I love your hockey night in canada t-shirt!
NUMBERS is the best show on tv. 6 perfect seasons. I've rewatched it about 40 times since 2019. I love the show. Currently in a rewatch of it.
Ryan's building manager sounds like my mother 😂. I love David on 10 things but, hell did he traumatized me on that ER episode.
Lol best rated ER episodes EVER of the series it was so intensely memorable though. Yeah i adored him in The Santa Clause and then watched the ER arc and those two things left such an impression on me in such different ways lol.
Loved David in Numbers and Oppenheimer performance was fantastic ❤

Love David in Numbers, Partners, Serenity, Harold & Kumar, Etc
This might be my favorite episode. I've been a Krumholtz fan for decades
You are enough Michael!! If I had the means and a way to go to California, it would be to see you and not your guest ❤
wow totally did not realize that was him in the movie.
Can't stop the signal, Mal!
Love your podcast @michael Rosenbaum your a very sweet, lovely, guy and you are good enough I would love to see your show live if I could, yeah happy early thanksgiving sounds fun thanksgiving you have, wow I can relate to this guy I have an underactive thyroid x
As Flight of the Concord says. Business sock for Business time.

"You can't stop the signal Mal!"
Godzilla Vs Oppenheimer Movie Need To Happen👏🙀Godzilla Wants Too👏
You can't stop the signal...
Ozempic is a drug for diabetics and weight loss should be a secondary reason for using it.
I love Mr. Universe. Those who know, know 🤟
Did I miss something? What happened to sh*t talking? 😢
When a heavy hitter doesn't know that he actually is a heavy hitter.
10 Things I hate about you will always be classic.
" there's a d#_@ on my face isn't there?"
David did such a great job in Oppenheimer and I didn't even recognize him. Love his work in Santa Claus, 10 Things I Hate About You and his scene with Jay Baruchel in This is the End is hilarious lol

I love David Krumholtz no matter what don't care what he looks like
Ryan's predicament with his building manager should make him thank his stars that he doesn't live in Switzerland. It's illegal to flush a toilet there after 10 pm.
I've always liked David, from the Santa Claus films to Numb3rs. To this day I still wish we got another season of 20 of Numb3rs.
David played Isidor Rabi beautifully. He delivered one of the best lines in the movie imo.
"We are Scientists. They need us for who we are. So be yourself. -Only better :)"
Loved the gnarly dog metaphor from David regarding anxiety.
Thank you, David, for being so open and covering so much ground in one interview!
That really spoke to me as someone who has had lifelong anxiety and has had to train a pit bull who is afraid of people.
When Michael and Ryan talked about showering together I was like “Onlyfans when?” 😂
His character in ER was one of the best guest spots and he did some very heart breaking things in that show.
I am so glad he is back in the Santa Clause even though its a series
Since David mentioned Klaus Kinski as one of his favourite actors, he can be glad he likely never met him in person. He is known to have had a VERY difficult personality.
Thanks as always Rosey, Ryan, and co.!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Seems like a cool and down to earth guy . Thanks for all you do and bring the best part of my day. Happy early Thanksgiving to you and team IOY❤️❤️🙏🦃.
David Krumholtz is an amazing guy, love this interview
Wow.. I have almost the same story with my Thyroid Cancer.
You felt a lump?how are you now?
David was great in Oppenheimer! Loved him as an actor ever since Harold and Kumar!
Another great guest! Loved Dave in Numb3rs, Addam's Family Values, the Santa Claus and all the others! Great podcast, guys.
It is interesting that he played a Mental Patient who killed a Female Doctor (Lucky Knight) and injured Dr. Carter in ER.
Well, this explains how Krumholtz got the role of Isidor Rabi, the chubby, sweet, morally centered, Jewish physicist, best friend of Oppenheimer, and future Nobel Prize winner. Had to look him up, did not recognize him from the movie, he lost so much weight.
Loved David Krumholtz in the Harold and Kumar movies and Sausage Party as the voice of Lavash.
Ooh love hearing from David and the experiences he had working with Heath Ledger, Tim Allen and Christopher Nolan.
Let's throw Jamie Foxx in there also because he was also in the movie "Ray" 😎
I like David a lot. He has a great blend of personality traits that I really like. He's pure, genuine, humble, has self esteem mixed with vulnerability but is honest about his good and bad traits. Even though this is the first time I have ever heard of David I could definitely be good friends with him. I wish him the best in the future and I hope his cancer doesn't return.
Can I rent total dictatorial control of a Nolan interview episode? I have questions that need careful looking after.
A very unexpected guest! Good episode!👍
Best podcast ever! I am learning so much about him.
I should say I love seeing him back on The Santa Clause cause that is where he should be, I don't care how he looked I just loved seeing his character back
Incredible podcast ! Even if i don’t know David well as an actor, it was amazing to discover the human being with great sensitivity like you, Michael !! 👍💘💘💙💙💖💖

My favorite part of Tuesday 💙 Amazing episode Michael 🤘
Amazing interview . Very insightful. Wish Michael asked David about working with Heath Ledger especially considering he and ledger both worked with Nolan
David was incredible in Oppenheimer as Isidor Rabi, every time he was on-screen it felt like a big, warm hug.
Watching Numb3rs on Discovery nightly on weekdays. It’s one of the rare show that depicts father/son and brothers’ relationship/love. You don’t get show like this anymore.
Love this guy!
Good guy and a great actor.
I fucking LOVE THE KRUM👏👏 great episode!!!
Great episode!
Loved him in Oppenheimer. Saw that movie 3 times...wish I'd gone more. ❤❤
My favorite actor of all time. He is so talented and has so many great and amazing different characters. His range is CRAZY.
I loved him since I saw him in “The Santa Clause” all those years ago (now my daughter loves him in the reboot series). This past Monday I was watching the old “Addams Family Values” for the first time and who do I see? It was him! So young but that voice is so recognizable. His scene explaining why he didn't want to work on the bomb made me cry
Thank god the Islanders took Patty. Can’t imagine the Redwings without Stevie Y!!! Sorry off topic. Krumholtz is very underrated!
Great rapport between them. They could totally do a show together.
So...David plays tabla? Anyone have insight into this? It's just sitting in the background.
He was one of the actors who stood out in Oppenheimer for me what a great performance. First time I saw David was over 20 years ago (10 things I hate about you) always thought he’d become a big actor. Can’t believe no one casted him on the big screen for so long. Fuckin love Krumholtz. Never saw his show, but loved him in everything I've seen him in.

I adore David. ❤😊
Thank you so much for sharing your life experiences with mental and physical health. You are awesome. ❤
stop doing remote interviews
Lex doesnt have Leno or Kimmel money. Remote interviews are fine with me lol
Great episode as always. I’ve always enjoyed David’s work. His story was so interesting.
Been there with the thyroid and gaining that weight. Ugh. So glad David was successfully treated.
I've just been focused on the tabla in David's background.
This is great. I would love Scott Glenn on the podcast.
I like the new cameras Michael and co. installed, a lot brighter and colorful than the old ones
Is it just me or with that camera angle David is looking so much like Jake Johnson.
Will the live podcasts be recorded so those is us that don’t live locally can hear them later?
I legit love this dude. Definitely my favorite actor.

“Could I get a prophylactic. A prophylactic. Ah!.”
-Michael Eckman
He's a gem of a man, I hope we see more of him in film and TV.
Numb3rs was one of my favorite shows
Really great interview! I love hearing his Oppenheimer stories and really appreciated his personal story and the way he shared it. Glad he got to play this role
That De Niro story... Damn!
man's got an epic fort
Love David number 10th I hate about you
I love David thank you Michael
