This is such a good review of what you need to be doing. So many of us going into the game thinking it’s a combat sim so let’s just shoot and scoot. Then you learn the loot part which is where the game mechanics play their part in making players complacent. I typically don't loot until most PMC's are dead or extracted. I just make a mental note of where they are and eventually try and make my way back. The first 10 min or so is all hunting. I do this because I get sick of picking shit up only to drop it a min later because the other body had some cooler shit. I also find people scavaging my kills on the return. That's always fun.
I've never seen a react video where the hosts explain a little bit about the game to the experts. Like explaining why is you character there to see what they think about the context, or pointing stuff like the comtacs were indeed comtacs and that type of stuff. Just basic knowledge about the game and giving more input to the experts than just the videos. Would love to see that.

12:13 they have gun safety stuck in their brain so hard, they notice if the gun is on safe or not in the gun customisation tab in game. Then you know they have a lot of experience 👏👏👏
It's because of the fact that people shoot themselves by accident a lot because the gun safety was off If you watch Band of Brothers, a Private or a Sergeant in Easy Company dies after accidentally shooting himself whilst cleaning his LOADED Luger (Sure he was in a warzone but that Luger was nothing more than a souvenir for him, not a combat weapon) And gun safety is probably amongst the Top 3 in military Having safety on, removing the magazine and bullet in chamber, NEVER EVER pointing a gun at someone you are not going to kill, whether it be loaded or unloaded

I feel like there are a couple comments in there that dont do the game justice. First, it isnt always solo. Many people actually do play in coordinated squads because going solo can be very dangerous. Second, dont be fooled by that gameplay making it look easy to loot dead bodies. More often than not, looting dead bodies in tarkov will get you killed and is a very risky manuever just like you guys said it would be in a real life survival situation. That being said, really cool insight from you guys and thanks for taking the time to share your reactions to that gameplay. I feel like the gameplay you were watching was not entirely fair to judge though because they were making it look way too easy. Actually playing the game is a whole nother experience.
Such an awesome perspective on EFT. I just started playing so having it validated by professionals makes me want to play more. But this game is so stressful so I can’t play it casually, I really have to hype myself up to get in the game 😂

Goes from a FLIR on AK series, to a SVDS using a REAP-IR. "ooh the AK, 545 type ammo, tumbles" lmao
Note to self: Best medicine is killing the enemy.
Thanks, that’ll be great for med school. I appreciate the tip!
Are the patients your enemy? Not really, they are a source of income, and killing them might just destroy you.
I mean destroy your reputation AND economy.
@@marcopolio6591 Well, for one... it was a joke. But yes, some patients can be exceptionally irritating and sometimes do stand in their own way of treatment based on something they read online. If medical professionals are obligated to treat patients to the best of their abilities, then anyone/anything that stands in the way of that can be considered an enemy-- including the patient him/herself.
Again though, it. was. a. joke. Even my logic here is a stretch, but that's just it, the joke does not have to abide by the strict rules of logic...

actually the official back story is the books, of which there are now 3 of them, ive only read one and it was very entertaining, you pick up a huge amount of references to the game and more. the game and raid series simply compliments the books.

He's really good and could probably train people but a true expert and trainer would probably be better.

I could honestly listen to these two all day.
I just love how the first weapon modification screen shows the AK platform with the thermal but shows gameplay of a modified SVDS with the same thermal and they don’t notice it LoL. But was a very enjoyable video.

I wish these guys could listen to Drewski communicate with his team in Tarkov.
Interesting to see Operators commenting on a game. Really cool perspective.
Hella respect to the vets who were able to come back, and plenty more for the ones who are still overseas.
Get home safe.
Even though some don't appreciate it, just know I do.
I knew it was Drewski when I heard the talking in the background. Good pick!
I like the idea of Gamology going back and “remastering” their old videos tbh.
I’d suggest next police officer/ex heist reacts to Payday 2 stealth, or survivalists react to Green Hell on normal survival instead of campaign.
1:30@ that's an svd with the same optic that was on the ak not the ak itself, you can tell by the changed furniture under the scope, just pointing that out there for those who have not noticed.
Saw these guys back on, instantly clicked. They may not know every nuance of every little thing but damn if humble experience isn't fun to watch. "The best medicine is killing the enemy" and striking down the movie idealogy of suppressors.
"It's a suppressor".
Cameron has been thoroughly friend-zoned.
Just checked Cameron's ig and found out he was in Tenet as one of the soldiers in the final battle scene!

12:13 they have gun safety stuck in their brain so hard, they notice if the gun is on safe or not in the gun customisation tab in game. Then you know they have a lot of experience 👏👏👏
It's because of the fact that people shoot themselves by accident a lot because the gun safety was off
If you watch Band of Brothers, a Private or a Sergeant in Easy Company dies after accidentally shooting himself whilst cleaning his LOADED Luger (Sure he was in a warzone but that Luger was nothing more than a souvenir for him, not a combat weapon)
And gun safety is probably amongst the Top 3 in military
Having safety on, removing the magazine and bullet in chamber, NEVER EVER pointing a gun at someone you are not going to kill, whether it be loaded or unloaded

Alright, I've come to the conclusion they must have the sound muted, because otherwise they would've heard Drew and his fireteam communicating and known he wasn't out there alone. Please give them sound so they know what the hell is going on. Besides, that's an important part of the game's authenticity that I'd like to hear their take on
Aside from the looting tips, the combat tips they gave are actually good tips for us tarkov players to absorb lol

As someone just getting into sniping in tarkov, that very first comment in the intro is *on point*
You can hear operator drewskis voice in the background xd
Such an awesome perspective on EFT. I just started playing so having it validated by professionals makes me want to play more. But this game is so stressful so I can’t play it casually, I really have to hype myself up to get in the game 😂
4:54 "You would normally use his kit on him if he was injured." >___> I SMELL A NEW IN-RAID FEATURE, BSG
I'm an infrared camera designer. One issue with thermal imagers is they need to be cryogenically cooled due to the physics of the sensor. That means they use a motor and it's not silent. Would be really interesting if they included this.
That fact about canting and the barrel being slightly angled upward was rlly interesting
I would love to see them react to the Escape From Tarkov: Raid series!
That actually would be more interesting

“Yeah that looks like an ak74, uhhhh 5.45 round instead of the traditional 7.62”
*an SVD chambered in 7.62x54r*
no AK that i know of is chambered in 7.62x54 (.308), most are chambered in either 7.62x39 OR 5.56 (.223)...
however there are some automatic rifles that are chambered in 308s, FN SCAR-H is an example off the dome.
@@alibenkhalid4192 7.62x54R isn't .308 and you mean 5.45, not 5.56.
7.62x51 is very similar to .308 but it's not the exact same cartridge. Same with 5.56 and .223.
Edit: And SCAR-H is in 7.62x51, not .308.
@@Kraakesolv i know, LOL.
there's a difference between .308 cal and .308 Winchester, one is a general caliber that encompasses lots of specific calibers and the other is a specific cartridge, a 308 win chambered rifle can shoot 7.62x54 with ease.
But the 5.45 is an embarrassing mistake on my part, I'm sorry.
Edit: a SCAR-H will definitely shoot 308 Wins AND 7.62x54. And it seems that on the FN america website they use the two cartridges interchangeably...
