    I love the way you identify other cool places in the Gorge from your overlooks. Thanks you.

      You’re welcome, I try to throw in stuff like that when I think of it. Things I would’ve like to have known on my first visit.

    Thank you. Wolfe County resident. And did not realize there were so many shorter hikes to pretty cool arches and formations. Just wish you would comment on strenuous level on each path for us heart patients. Certainly appreciate all of the info you did provide

      All of the hikes have some elevation change but nothing too strenuous. As long as you pace yourself you should be fine. They are all very short hikes.

    Appreciate the great content! You need to team up with Papaw in the Woods and do a video, you both have great channels!

      Thanks and thanks for watching!
      I’m friends with him on Facebook, he covers a lot of ground down in Big South Fork! That would be cool tho!

    Thank you for making these visual maps. I haven’t explored RRG near as much as I would like to because I’m not familiar enough with the area. I feel more confident about tackling these trails now.

      Glad the video was able to help you out!
      I hike RRG pretty regularly, most of my videos so far have been from that area. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask.

    We live in Lexington and hike the gorge frequently, but you make us want to revisit the places we have already been. Great videos, and thoroughly enjoy the plant and wildlife shots as well!

    With the chimney rock road closed during the winter, you can go up to princess arch and chimney top through the suspension bridge. What I love about winter, lots of exploring.
    I saw your other videos and I’ve been wondering how to get to snow arch and double deer arch. Thanks.

      That’s a route not many know about, a good leg burner coming up that way as well!

    Red River Gorge has been on my bucket list for several years now, and I think we’re finally going to make it down this summer. We’re looking at like 5 days there, do you think that’s enough time to see everything?
    I really like that you provide the exact mileage for all the trails, that’s very helpful.
    I’m going to watch some of your other RRG videos.
    Thanks for sharing!

      5 days is enough to see all of the major on trail attractions for sure. Be sure to check out Natural Bridge State Park while you’re there too. Might wanna look up Gorge Underground, it’s an old flooded mine and they have it setup to kayak in, if that’s something you’re interested in you might wanna book ahead of time because it stays busy especially during the hot months. Also a lot of good places to eat in the area!
      Thanks for watching, hope the videos help to plan your trip!

    D_Rob, hello. I'm coming from California, if you were to do only one, which one would you recommend? princess arch or sky bridge arch?

    • @ExploringWithDRob
      @ExploringWithDRob  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely SkyBridge, you get a bigger arch and some great views. Plus if you’re coming in the next couple weeks, the rhododendron are starting to bloom!

    • @onebigfamilytv
      @onebigfamilytv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ExploringWithDRob then what about sky bridge vs natural bridge?

    • @ExploringWithDRob
      @ExploringWithDRob  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, that’s a tough one. But I’d probably give Natural Bridge a slight edge, plus there’s a lot of other trails and features to see at Natural Bridge State Park.
