- This came out of nowhere. Really good video to celebrate how far Arknights have come. Here's my reaction, hope you guys enjoy!

When it comes to Patriot, Amiya tried to give him comfort by showing him visions of his daughter, son, and wife, but he rejected it, as it was not reality. Patriot was a warrior and a fighter, and even when everything he swore to protect was gone he never allowed Amiya or anyone else to tear him from reality and continued onwards. Amiya understood this when he even rejected death, and still reached out to crush her skull. Patriot basically told her and R.I that if they wanted to reach Talulah and end this tragedy, they would have to kill him, which is why I think they showed Amiya walking past Patriot. He was an obstacle, and refused to be consoled by what he seen as empty promises of a brighter future. The only way to prove such claims, was to kill him.
That's a great description of what happened, I started to remember a bit when reading your comment! I didn't remember this moment clearly because I remembered there were just so many lore drops out of nowhere in that one scene and the wordings were weird which got me confused

Watch this PV make me shed tears, how heavy the burden Amiya had in her shoulder, she only a 14 years old Cautus, her grand idealism.
The irony tho, her dreams is to find the livelihood, peace, and cure for Infected, but everything happen is the direct opposite of it.

I agree, seeing Amiya's struggle for her ideals is what makes her such a great main character for the story. Seeing it all reflected in the PV after knowing her experiences made it so much more emotional

The lyrics is underrated as heck, you should watch the full song a pay attention to it,
it has that feeling of a child thrown into a war torn country forced to "grow up" And left their childhood Innocence behind to face the grim reality of the real world, by becoming a sort of child soldiers
And the part where the lyrics asking "where is our future?" As if the dying children were the one asking that question, knowing they still had a long future ahead that is taken from them, hits a bit hard for me
Also realized that most of the reunion characters are still just a bunch of young children if not teenagers, from misha, faust, frostnova, yeti squad etc. Just fighting for their rights to live as normal people, but got swallowed up by anger and lust for revenge due to their treatment in the past and also some gaslighting from talulah
But who knows maybe I'm just being a bit too sentimental lol
I did notice the song and how sad it was during my first watch but I chose to pay attention to the visuals more instead. Having watched it a bunch more times, I do think the lyrics match really well with the story of Arknights but I haven't looked that deep into it.
Also yeah the Reunion thing is pretty sad when you think about that most of them joined Talulah because they believed her to give them a new chance especially for Faust and the kids while being someone different from a lot of others to Frostnova. People do forget most of them are very young and just shows the state of the world that Arknights is set in.
Mili is insane in the best ways, and Arknight has been sacred to me ever since the pre-release media, despite me having never played it yet.

@@Infinite_Star exactly, you can appreciate all the tidbits while like what happened to me who got a nostalgia trip from the animations as an old FGO player and long time Mili enjoyer. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

right now, the new event starts on the 30th. they just released chapter 13, chapter 14 in CN. the new event is something of a continuation of the lingering echos story.
if you come back I'd do that and the current event, and then the intermezzi's and main chapters. should take you a few months, so you can be ready for the chapter 14 in 6 months.
There's a lot to catch up but that's my fault for not doing that in the first place haha. Thanks for the advice!

CN side celebrated 5 year anni so its a big event and there is a lot that came from it.

There actually was a 2024 celebration stream on the Kazdel Team channel and they _*cooked hard*_. They gave W an Alter! with a 15 minute cinematic, they're insane!

Yeahh I started to see a lot of stuff from the CN side! I try not to watch the animations because I want to save them once they come to global. Really cool to see W get an alter but my wallet isn't happy about that

Other than that, it was enjoyable~ Hope you get to catch up, as a returning player. Story has only gotten better.
Haha I did expected the Outcast comment. I meant veteran in a sense that I have been playing for a very long time.
I have seen Outcast but don't know anything about her and I do believe she appears in Victoria which I haven't had the right mood to read yet. I do want to read it once I finish all the stages up to the recent chapter.
