I forgot how fast this game goes... I haven't picked this game up in 10 years. For a game on a small disk, it's still impressive to see it play almost like it was on a cartridge by how fast it is. It'd be awesome if SSB4 for 3DS/WiiU could be this quick to load and operate.
Reserved I hope you realize that I was referring to the speed in which the game loaded compared to how slow Super Smash Bros. Brawl appeared to be. I understand that these disks were designed for quick load time, but the size of the disk, both in size and form factor required multiple disks, reduced content or were simply not ported. Brawl was a double sided disk that carried vastly more space and better fidelity, but the compromise was speed comparatively. If you're talking about the in-game play, I'm well aware it's a TAS. I do read descriptions and I do pay attention to titles of videos. I don't imagine that the upcoming game will be quite as speedy with load times, but Brawl just seemed... Sluggish and lethargic while Melee seemed snappy and responsive. Merely opinion is all.
***** OH and also, Pikachu can't learn Volt Tackle without first being a Pichu. I'm assuming it didn't use that move in Melee because it would most likely have killed itself...

Yeah Pichus electrical attacks does also hurt him and the thunder just hurt him if you get a hit from the thunder. But there i never got hit by the thunder i also doesn't have get damage.
i found it a little strange that you were so averse to taking any damage that you didn't even try anything cool during RTTF, like up-b cancels or lava techs great video though, i'd love to see more of these
Pichu only self-damages when it uses an electric attack (it shocks itself). This TAS never uses any of those attacks except for Pichu's Down+B (thunder) BUT always uses that attack while moving, so the bolt of thunder never hits Pichu and therefore, never causes self-damage.

some people already talked about this. And it happend because the dumping from the Dolphin emulator was in 3 AVI files. And this frame was at the begin of the 3th AVI file, and i have forgotten to cut this off.
I like Pichu too (I just like any Smash Bros. underdog like Ganondorf in Brawl). Although if Pichu is brought back in Smash 4, I just pray to God they individualize Pichu's moveset and change the gimmick a bit. It's an interesting gimmick, cleverly referencing the 3rd Pikachu short but I think it's more widely accepted if it behaves differently. Like...discouraging spamming. But as if Namco would just go through this conversation and have the time to translate it in English.
This is the grand tale of how Pichu became a god. Pichu used to live in the woodlands with its best friend, Pikachu. Until one day their home was destroyed by the gods, and Pikachu looked back with a sad longing. Pichu saw the same destruction, and decided one thing. The gods were going down. So Pichu had to say goodbye to Pikachu, and left on an epic quest. Soon enough it found a guide in Link, who promised to train it up until it was ready to slay the gods. It spent 27 years with Link on a beach, training and training with the legendary hero. One day, when he was able to take out Link without a scratch, its training was complete. Now it was time to accomplish its goal - take out the gods of the universe, and free all who are under their command. But on the way to Final Destination, it came across a poor ape getting bullied by a man in green and his Yoshi. Its poor heart aching about this mistreatment, it barged in and saved the ape from oblivion. Almost at its goal, it gave itself some last second practice at an arena along the way, before challenging the gods... Only to find that a single Mewtwo was there. It beat Mewtwo to a pulp until the Pokemon telepathically revealed to it that the real Final Destination was hidden far away, its portal hidden away. It came across a giant man in red claiming a castle as his own, with two space animals in the midst of combat. Pichu interfered and took down the raging giant, before it came across the truth. The ape it had saved caused this, and the ape covered their escape with an earthquake, of which Pichu stepped in to save the poor, poor... trophies? The three then part ways, the other two seeking the bottom of this. Giving chase, Pichu came across a young boy, who wouldn't let Pichu pass out of fear of the punishment if it failed. The young boy was quickly swayed, and revealed that the source to the true Final Destination was in the middle of a jungle. Pichu found the ape civilisation hiding there, protecting the entrance from any intruders. Pichu fought off the relentless army and forced its way inside, pushing all the way deep into the core of the portal. On the other end was the fox friend, turned into iron and steel, and forced to move to face against it. Pichu had no choice but to take down the new threat, and take down it did. Finally, it reached the true Final Destination, and the two gods lay before it. It slayed the both of them, and freed the universe from their control. Pichu returned to its best friend Pikachu, and the two of them found a new field to call home, forever. The moral of the story is that Pichu is fierce.
Tool assisted speedrun most of the time, but other times it can mean tool assisted superplay where the goal isn't to beat it fast, but do a bunch of inhuman things

This is being run off of the Dolphin emulator, not a GameCube or the Melee disc.
I've never been able to get that emulator to work... I've always wanted to try it, yet had no luck.
Oh. You should check out some of the older versions, they work better.
