Bevor «The Lion King» ab März 2015 zum ersten Mal in die Schweiz kommt, machte das Meisterwerk Halt beim «SwissAward». Die englischsprachige Originalproduktion verzauberte bereits über 75 Millionen Menschen mit atemberaubenden Masken und Kostümen, bildgewaltigen afrikanischen Rhythmen und der unvergesslichen Filmmusik von Sir Elton John und Sir Tim Rice. Die Hauptfigur Nala wird von der Schweizerin Melina M‘Poy verkörpert.

Can't understand why the audience are not on their feet applauding....it's like they're not the least bit interested. This Simba and Nala duo are among the best looking couple I've seen!

People complaining about the audience: this was not in the u.s. to us europeans, screaming and acting overly excited seems fake and weird. We clap politely to show that we enjoyed what we saw. Swiss people are especially known to be a little reserved. Don't push your standards on other cultures.

laptop laptop the performance was part of a gala event in swiss television. In switzerland it is considered to be impolite to be too enthusiasic after a performance like this, especially during a gala event. That's the reason why the audience applauded very restrained.
