There is nothing better than vintage racing. Yes, it may be 9 10th but it is just grand! You have to really respect these car owners for taking their irreplaceable and very expensive pieces of history (the Cobra Coupe for example) and letting us view them in their native element. Thank your sirs!
Alexander Est Well, regardless of cost, with 39 GTOs produced the world can afford to loose one or two. With only 6 Cobra Daytona Coupes produced, the risk of losing one has a much greater impact. That's what I'm talking about. And I believe it is "chump change".
Wow great memories. I must have been stood only a few metres from you. I remember at the very end how some of the cars went skating and spinning past in that rain!
Martin Brundle and Mark Hales did well to try and keep up with Brak and Kristensen, but the incredible power of the V8 in the shelby meant there was nothing they could do... I love seeing them go for it in the rain though, great video... Goodwood definitely favors powerful cars as opposed to nimble cars :P
The guy in the Lister Sunbeam made a really good snap decision to back the car off of the field during his spin. Had he not, he probably could have taken out the Breadvan and what I think is the Cobra LeMans coupe. Shows a lot of situational awareness.
Never say its a replica unless you know 200%!!! Talked to the scrutineer the same weekend. All was fine - chassis #2300 came 3rd at Sebring in 1964. Used to belong to Caroll Shelby himself! Kenny Brack driving is the difference!!!
ClassicarGarage, you do a fantastic job in covering these events.
Thank you.

the cobra coupe is chunk change compared to the value of each of those 250 gtos.

Many Thanks for Posting. These cars are individual. The Newies are different like cooling boxes.
Wonderful! Thanks for this video!

super super video
Show de corrida parabéns a todos
Great video!
I bet that Daytona said '' thank f*** thats over!'' when Kenny got out at the end...
He's able to take more risk and makes faster laps since he's driving a replica with more modern components.
