      I love my Lakland. It had been my main bass since 2008. The Sire just "dethroned" it lol.

    Great video, and thank you because I’ve got the P10… almost identical except mine has the P pick up in neck position and heavier mass saddles on the bridge. You said that means it’s a deluxe? I didn’t even know that. But I really appreciated hearing your love for this bass. And one more thing, I just last summer got a Lākland 55-02 ! Oh my gosh, talk about LOVE ! The store had one with maple fretboard, but it was the one with rosewood fretboard and spalted maple tonewood on the body that was “love at first play” for me. You’re very good at the video-making thing, you definitely should make more ! I liked and subscribed.

      Thx for watching and subscribing. I’ve had my 5502 since 2005. The v10 blew me away. The neck is incredible. Ps awesome bass player name!

    I love my v10 too! I just got it about 2 weeks ago. Do you have single-coil hum when you adjust the blend knob anywhere other than 50/50? Im thinking of shielding the internal cavity.

      @pastorgroove  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I do get hum. It increases the more I adjust towards the bridge pickup. As of now I never use just the bridge so it’s not been a problem to me. I appreciate you viewing the video and feedback.

    I agree 100 percent...I see videos of people comparing the sound of a cheap bass compared to expensive...im like who cares? I guarantee they don't play the same. Cheap basses are cheap basses...I can never get them up to my level. There's always some flaw with how it plays. And the quality is cheaper....sire makes the best basses I've played..I've played a lot too. I play all the time. Religiously. Everyday. So a bass has to be to my ability, or I won't even mess with it. I've spent so much time trying to adjust basses ,that just arent going to play like I want. Every instrument is different. Some cheap basses are ok. But it's like there's always something. Certain areas of the neck, the fretwork..the nut. Something is always off...I guess since ive got so much better and play more than most people out there, I have high standards. I have certain ways i like my shit set up. And don't compromise. My sire is pick up and play, it's set up perfect. The neck is so nice, low action. String height where I like it. No fret buzz. You can't beat sire , they're great.

    When I see a bass review video and I see a guy act, talk and even look like he might be a serious player., then I get curious. I spend the time to listen to their whole spiel. Waiting for the actual playing part. So often it takes me 10 seconds to know that I have been BSed again.
    Just tell the truth. Something along the lines of this :
    "Hey I am not that great of a player but I'll do my best to give you a good impression of what this bass can sound like. I personally love this bass and you might too. So here I go...."

      Thanks for watching AND giving me the subject of a new video “What Makes a Good Bass Player”. Is it chops, or good timing, feel, knowing when to play, and what to play? Too many young players get caught up in the Victor Wooten syndrome, they think they have to be flashy to be good. Solid is what gets gigs. I appreciate your honesty. Thanks.

      @@pastorgroove okay good luck with that. It is so easy to get sidetracked by watching all the flashy guys show their mega chops. A guy that I really like is Jacky Clark from Memphis. Look him up.
      He's got tons of skills, but it's always in support of the song.
      Which is probably why he's playing with everybody.

      @@pastorgrooveI’m way late ⏰, but the Bass world is full of guys that play WAAAAYYY to many runs and unnecessary Fills, they don’t play the song like they are supposed too. I’ve Ben playing for 27 years, I can do most anything but my job is to keep the rhythm and stay in the pocket, and play an occasional fill or run. I believe in playing simple. 👊🏼
