I was thinking the same thing. Some people really have mental health issues, and even if she was drinking it can sometimes make the mental health issues worse. She really did handle this with a lot more compassion than most people especially compared to a stranger.

I clicked on this by accident, in time to see the shining of not only a fine heart - but to witness how genius gets people to pull together, to 'be one with', 'a part of', to belong. A retired naval Lieutenant, Karl Randolph, told me that to get individuals from 'me' into "us", we need to find the common treasure and protect it together. She found the common vulnerability, a frailty we've all had moments of - then suddenly, it was "us"-"we"... instead of just her up there. Magnificent. She spoke another profound truth - that everyone wants and deserves to be heard. God bless her - she gave that woman what she needed - the dignity of her time and attention, the kindness that every life deserves. I know everyone has seen fans dragged off the stage in shame, hollering, and humiliated - that woman got her moment with her star, the crowd was awed, Celine didn't get hurt...we all held hands and then lived happily ever after. That was diplomacy in action, I want to live in a world like this - we need folks that bring us together. Like Dolly Parton, Carol Burnett...our country needs to be like this, know that we're all the same...a divided house cannot stand.
I was so scared of Celine when I watched this. I kept thinking that Christina Grimmie had been murdered by a "fan". Security should have prevented this woman from getting on stage with Celine Dion. But Celine handled it super well herself. I am deeply impressed.
Sadly the difference between Christina Grimmie and Celine Dion is in fact that Celine’s concert’s would have had better security at check point. The possibility of bringing in the amount of weapons that Christina Grimmie’s crazed and obsessed fan did at her show/ meet up, would have been 0 at Celine’s concert.
Celine, the patience, grace and integrity of an angel, easily one of the most powerful woman and human being in music but still such a genuine, humble and down to earth soul. That fan is absolutely gone burger to the bottle. I have no doubt she woke the next day cringing that this all happened, but on that token what a blessing, if it had been any other artist that woman would have been tackled off of that stage.

I think this everyday and everyday it breaks my heart that people are as cruel as they chose to be. Society is dictated and fed by us...if we all chose to change it could happen but everyone has to want it and unfortunately nobody does. 😔

I was thinking the same thing. Some people really have mental health issues, and even if she was drinking it can sometimes make the mental health issues worse. She really did handle this with a lot more compassion than most people especially compared to a stranger.
Empathy is wonderful. But I would also understand if anyone would not be okay and calm with being touched without their permission.

Everything that she said, was true some people need to talk. Celine is a beautiful person inside and out has empathy, compassion. I wouldn't have done what the woman did because, I know

I clicked on this by accident, in time to see the shining of not only a fine heart - but to witness how genius gets people to pull together, to 'be one with', 'a part of', to belong. She found the common vulnerability, a frailty we've all had moments of - then suddenly, it was "us"-"we"... instead of just her up there. Magnificent. God bless her - she gave that woman what she needed - the dignity of her time and attention, the kindness that every life deserves. I know everyone has seen fans dragged off the stage in shame, hollering, and humiliated - that woman got her moment with her star, the crowd was awed, Celine didn't get hurt...we all held hands and then lived happily ever after. That was diplomacy in action, I want to live in a world like this - we need folks that bring us together. Like Dolly Parton, Carol Burnett...our country needs to be like this, know that we're all the same...a divided house cannot stand.

I was so scared of Celine when I watched this. I kept thinking that Christina Grimmie had been murdered by a "fan". Security should have prevented this woman from getting on stage with Celine Dion. But Celine handled it super well herself. I am deeply impressed.

Celine, the patience, grace and integrity of an angel, easily one of the most powerful woman and human being in music but still such a genuine, humble and down to earth soul. That fan is absolutely gone burger to the bottle. I have no doubt she woke the next day cringing that this all happened, but on that token what a blessing, if it had been any other artist that woman would have been tackled off of that stage.

All the lady really wanted was for Celine to see her and recognize she exists in a moment of not thinking straight and normal...and celine did it with grace and love and wisdom. It went ok, but sometimes the drunk or mentally challenged are too far gone to respond to kindness or defusing aggression tactics (calm tones , non agressive body language). They can also seem happy & non threatening then flip the switch with no notice. (I work in mental health). That woman was teetering on & off the aggression switch. It could have gone v v badly.
