  • In this video I cook Bone In Chicken Breasts on my Oklahoma Joe's Bronco. I seasoned the chicken breasts with North Texas BBQ Addicts Smoke Shake. In the cook I placed 2 InkBird meat probes into each chicken breast to monitor the internal temperature of the chicken breasts. I clipped one thermometer probe onto the cooking grate to get the temperature of the grate. I cooked the chicken breasts bone down until they reached an internal temperature of 165. I removed one breast from the Bronco and the remaining breast I glazed it using Texas Pepper Jelly Rib Candy. Once the glazed chicken breast reached an internal temperature of 170, I removed it from the bronco. During the cook the temperature of the Bronco ranged from 300F to 302f. I wanted this cook to be hot. Total Cook time was 1 hr and 20 minutes. 5-17-2020

      @@MoesBlackGoldBBQ I did two hanging spatchcock chickens. Overcooked then a bit but they were sooo good. What thermometer do you use?

      @Jacques238 chickens, nice. What do you think about the performance of your Bronco? I use inkbird for hand-held thermometer and inkbird for probe thermometer. I bought both off Amazon.

      Jacques238 You're putting your Bronco to work. It's great to know I'm not the only one who knows how great this smoker is.

    Awesome video thanks for going over how you light your coals! I always put my starter on the side. I think I’ll try the middle like you did.

      Thank you for watchinh and glad I could help. When I do short cooks that won't go more than 5 or 6 hours, I always place my weber cube in the middle. For longer cooks I start my charcoal on one side.

    You can tell you know what you are doing by looking at your grill grates. I bet that it is has so much flavor in it.

    how many cooks do you get out of a full load of charcoal? that seemed like a lot of coals for a short cook. thanks!!!

      I can do spare ribs, chicken, pork butt, brisket. Just depends on what I can fit in it. I always fill the basket. I can easily get 15hrs of cooking on one full basket.

    So is your charcoal of choice Kingsford? I've tried many different brands and in my opinion B&B Charcoal Briquettes are 2nd to none , clean burning, long lasting they do take a second to get going but one its going its 👌 . What's your thoughts?

    • @MoesBlackGoldBBQ
      @MoesBlackGoldBBQ  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've always used Kingsford charcoal, but I have also used B&B lump charcoal and HEB brand charcoal. I have never had an issue with Kingsford in the pits that I have, so I continue to use it.
