This flagship AMG sedan has 493HP from a supercharged 5.5 liter V8, and performance figures that rival a much lighter supercar. Amenities include heated and cooled 12-way power seats, AM/FM/CD/CD Changer with Navigation, Power Moonroof, 5-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifting, 18 inch twin-spoke 5 star AMG alloy rims, AMG exhaust, big brakes, ABC Sport Suspension, and more. Go for it, these are way less complicated than the newer ones. Just make sure it has records, and that the abc, supercharger, and transmission are good.

04-06 are the best years for this body style. Mercedes had a bad period (quality wasn't like it used to be) from like 98-03.
The crazy thing about this car is that even on the uber lux S55 there are no parking sensors on a 2003 model. Guess there is no need in the US really. I've never had to park in a tight space there.

Back in this day I believe those options were pay as you go, even for this model. There were many many options packages
@@Forge17 I agree, but they were standard in the UK. My point is that it's hard to understand why something so basic is considered an option in the US.
@@Forge17 Although being realistic, option are set for the country the car is sold in. Parking sensors on big cars have always been crucial in the UK since they became available because we have smaller roads. However, you can't buy a 3 series without electric seats in the USA and even the 340i has them as an expensive option in the UK. Presumably because valet parking isn't so common and we only tend to adjust our seats when we buy the car or a partner drives it.
@@ruk2023-- most us here in the US don’t valet, I think electric seats and windows are just standards Americans have been accustomed to because American brands started the trend here making them standard across even lower end vehicles.
I'm in love with this car. My dad had an 80's S-class. Price is not an issue. Repairs scare me. Is an extended warranty available?
shahram72 no but repairs are not that expensive if u do the work and not that hard to work on

i bought this new in 2003..i had it up to 170 it felt like it was going to break apart. my zx12r ninga was faster,handled better..i sold it in 2006 for 50,000 turbo blew flat tirtes...i cant evev watch this shit
@3:00 - Not sure which Betty built this motor. Bill seems to get in a lot of AMG motors built by Betty Rodriguez or Gonzalez. 🙃

I noticed the dashboard lights are flashing while you're driving towards the end of the video.

a lot of cameras will do that when focusing on an illuminated cluster.
