Sleazemeister Trap

  • The Sleazemeister Trap derives from the Alekhine Defense where white plays 2. Nc3 instead of the most common 2. e5. After black counter attacks in the center of the board, white finds themselves in a spot where it looks like they can deploy their own trap by bringing their queen out and forking the black knight. This doesn't work and things can crumble quickly.
    For more chess traps you can check out www.thechesswe...
    For all the moves mentioned in this video the PGN is below:
    1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3 (2. e5) 2... d5 (2... e5 3. Nf3 Nc6) 3. e5 Ne4 4. Nce2 (4.
    Nxe4 dxe4) 4... d4 5. c3 dxc3 6. Qa4+ Nd7 (6... Nc6 7. Qxe4)(6... Bd7 7. Qxe4)
    7. Qxe4 (7. Nxc3 Nec5 8. Qd1 c6 (8... Nxe5 9. d4)) 7... Nc5 8. Qe3 (8. Qd4 Nd3+
    9. Kd1 (9. Qxd3 Qxd3)9... Qxd4 10. Nxd4 Nxf2+ 11. Ke1 Nxh1) 8... Nd3+ 9. Kd1
    cxb2 10. Rb1 (10. Bxb2 Nxb2+ 11. Ke1 Nd3+ 12. Kd1 Bg4) 10... bxc1=Q+ 11. Nxc1
    Nxc1 12. Rxc1 *

    Its nice tht you guys make these videos, I now started to play this game but i have to say its confusing when you all & i mean everyone who makes these videos show us a strategy. When you start just go along with the strategy & checkmate. Then come back & show us the next variation. You start then stop wht if he plays this then tht then we move forward but what if he moves his knight here then we go back etc etc etc. Nice video doh.

      @@chesswebsite Thanks for the reply. I'd recommend :42sec Pawn to D5 variation- 4:19 is good & you should have just continued to continue until you showed Checkmate. Instead of going into if they captured with their Bishop. That you come back too. If you understand what I trying to say. Everyone makes these Chess videos all the same & there good but in my opinion as I now start playing the game. There is to many moves to learn to win the game. I mean you can keep doing your thing but once in a while cud go tht way. If you got any white breaking blacks defense videos please paste sum links so i could check them out. Thanks again much appreciated.

    • @chesswebsite
      @chesswebsite  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah if you are going to use a trap you'll definitely want to study the other opening lines as well. For this that would be the Alekhine Defense.

  • @SigurdBraathen
    @SigurdBraathen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nc3-d2 is never going to happen except versus very high rated opponents. Such opponents would never fall for the Qxe4 trap.
    Thus, this opening is moot.

    • @SigurdBraathen
      @SigurdBraathen 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean: The skill level for finding 4 Nce2 seems to me to be higher than finding NOT 4 Qxe4.
      ...
      I guess there's value in knowing the name of this trap, but this is esoteric and full of mistakes for white (according to my engine).
      Sorry for being so negative, but I think this could be presented better as a very unlikely situation.

      You can only capture via en passant when a pawn moves two spaces from its starting position, and the first space that it moves through is attacked by one of your own pawns. So it can ONLY ever happen on the 3rd or 6th ranks on the board! :)
