I'm searching now since 2014 for a good composer on YT who is able to compose awesome tracks with catchy melodies. It's awfully hard, sometimes depressing and furthermore you'll get headache from all this "brrrruuuuruuuuruuruururuuru" noise which is so damn persistent in chiptune, i absolutely don't understand why so many people prefer such crap! Here in comparison we have an awesome balanced track, which (like you said) perfectly fits into a platformer / game! THIS is one of the great example what chiptune or at least 8-bit soundtracks SHOULD BE! Keep up the inspiring work, would love to hear another platformer track, since this is the only one I can image as a perfect fit into one of those. If you know some other originals which would fit into this genre, please let me know ;P Btw. i'm doing a voxel platformer right now where i'd love to use something like this, even if i'm not really sure about my setting anymore :O furthermore i have to check if this would work with a voxel game i'm working on, if not fix the animations for it! Hard decision to make here :D I think the most suitable song would be a hybrid out of this famitracker song with some modern sounds, but that would be too much to ask for. Aaaaand my big request here: Is it possible to get the .ftm file from you? I'd like to seperate the intro from the actual tune due to programming reasons, cause I have to loop the track perfectly, you understand ;D Thanks and keep up the nice work!

Yes. Try to balance any sort of music theory knowledge with your pure gut instincts. If you don't know any music theory, I'm sure there are hundreds of tutorials on TH-cam. But still keep in mind that you should still trust what sounds good to you. Hope this helps!
Sounds very J-pop // from an anime sound track. Nice harmonies... lots of 7ths. This sounds more like ending credits music than level music - but that's just my opinion.
I honestly think that's a good thing. This gives off a "We suffered a lot, but everyone's finally happy!" vibe, so yeah it's perfect for an end credits sequence.
