The power resizer is a feature I’ve been missing since the days of vista. Power renamed is something I’ve wanted every time I need to do photo management. These are amazing. Thank you so much for this video.

Excellent tool Kevin ! Two months ago I was creating my company logo, and could not match the colors I wanted, and I was thinking: "There must be a tool that tells you the color code of a color on your screen..so you can replicate it exactly". Now I can fix my company logo to match it exactly the colors I really meant. Thank You ! Very Useful. You nailed it ! U read my mind...

I'd forgotten about PowerToys! I used them with Win 95 back in the day. Admittedly TweakUI was what I used the most but other items were useful. I can see me using a number of these new toys. Just like Windows itself, PowerToys have gotten better with time.

  • @Allellia

This has been incredibly helpful! Fancy Zones is simple to use. I edited one of the standard layouts to include 9 various sized windows and they are available in the background, just shift/left-click the toolbar of a folder or document and drag/drop it into a pocket🤸‍♀️yeah! Also, Image Resizer is much easier than opening an entire program to re-size pictures! Your video explanation of each PowerToy prompted me to try it. [This solved an annoying on-going issue; working with a "few" files and folders open on my desktop caused me to constantly 🤹‍♀️them around to be accessed.] 🤗Thank you very much Kevin!

I've been using Dvorak for about 2 years and the only thing I've hated about it is the fact that I have to use both hands to do copy and paste, since C and V are now on the right side of the keyboard. Because of that I've had to keep qwerty as an alternative and use Win + Space everytime I needed to use shortcut heavy programs (blender for example).
I also decided to start using my secondary monitor vertically, and somehow, Microsoft doesn't allow us to stack windows vertically by default, it's so unpractical. Fancyzone is just perfect.
This is a game-changer for me. Thank you so much!

The keyboard manager is so, so amazing. I have a tiny macro keyboard with only 10 keys. I've mapped each key to (Ctrl + F13 to F23). Now I have 10 entirely customizable keys that automatically work differently depending on what I'm doing (e.i. Copy/Paste normally but 6 - 0 when playing a game because these number keys are hard to reach during gameplay).

Best thing added since this video is cursor find, by pressing ctrl twice. I know this could be done other ways, but it sucked pretty hard. You can set it to disable itself in game mode, too. You also now have a coffee cup icon which will be self-explanatory-it keeps things awake by ignoring power plans.

Everything is fine and dandy except for one thing: shortcut guide.
Shortcut guide is useful for a while but it seems like it can burn through its usefulness rather quickly. Not sure if it's going to be updated but it it is please take these functionalities into consideration:
    1) shortcut pressed (mostly used for video tutorials) - toggle
    2) foreground software shortcut guide for other software.
I know it's a lot of work keeping it synced with updates for all the possible software out there but maybe offer two versions, official and community. Community should offer the possibility to update it locally and upload it back online so you would have the bulk of the shortcuts and just update it based only on what has changed.
You could even combine shortcut guide with keyboard manager.
Edit: I thought this was an official channel and I was hoping my suggestions have a chance of making it to an actual update.

    When you create TimeStamps
make sure that the columns align
It is clear to see your method is that of a third grader
    Time stamps are untidy.
That means using 00:00 as can be seen on any digital clock you look at,
    So pay attention to detail.
Also leave two or three spaces between the Time Stamp and Tittle name.
It is known as white space.
Used to void cramping of text.
Sign-writers know about it as do [age layout professionals.
    Like so:
    ■ Timestamps ■
    00:00 Introduction
    00:40 Get & launch PowerToys
    01:49 Color Picker
03:20 Fancy Zones window screen snapping
05:45 File Explorer support for SVG & markdown
    06:41 Bulk image resizer
08:13 Keyboard manager to remap keys & shortcuts
    10:28 Power Rename
    11:36 PowerToys Run app launcher
    12:17 Shortcut guide
    13:03 Wrap up
