My dad just recently died from this on July 31. I still feel he had hope. Please people take care of you health. What people go through with Congestive heart failure is sad. He had a chance to get a heart transplant but his kidneys stop working and his liver was going bad too. I wish I had my dad back but now I can tell you all to take care of yourself.

Just found out my mom may have congestive heart failure. It's nice to have a good, simple explanation of exactly what is going on.

I survived congestive heart failure late last year. I was hospitalized for 19 days and had to stay with family for 4 months afterwards. I also had large blood clots in my lungs. I've been doing as much walking as I can, it's the one thing that saved my life.

Heart failure (HF) often called congestive heart failure (CHF) is generally defined as the inability of the heart to supply sufficient blood flow to meet the needs of the body.[1][2][3] Heart failure can cause a number of symptoms including shortness of breath, leg swelling, and exercise intolerance. The condition is diagnosed with echocardiography and blood tests.

Heart Failure (assuming we live through it) will make family members instant caregivers and caregivers need all they can get. We must take care of ourselves on a daily basis: claim our exercise, rest, nutrition, and support system in order to be at our best.

CHF is one of many disease processes can impair the pumping efficiency of the heart. Rather than diagnosing something based on a TH-cam video please go see your primary care physician or cardiologist.

I thought that was the aortic valve too. Look at it really close, It's the mitral (bicuspid) valve. It's open during ventricular diastole in order for the left ventricle to receive blood from the left atrium.

@bettescorpio Actually, it can also happen with a common cold, pregnancy, alcoholism, genetics, birth defect, prescription medication, etc. Don't assume people with CHF live unhealthy lifestyles, most of us don't.

This is a great explanation. It makes sense about the fluid retention. I never knew the kidney played such a role. When the body is filled with so many toxins and bad foods for years and years the bodies own defenses can kick in to harm itself. Amazing. - JRSmedical

The detoxification of the body for at least 7 to 14days is critical before starting any health regiment! When taking CoQ10 at aprox.200ml. Take it 1 to 2 drops under the tongue 3times a day.Take at least 3/8oz.glasses of acai berry drink a day.Drink only ionized or kangen water.Eat no meat other than fish baked or broiled.Eat only fresh fruit& vegetables for 30 to 60 days. You may put the fruits&vegetables in a blender and drink them.Stay away from dairy products of any kind! No sodas please!

Is it just me or does the aortic valve open at the wrong time? It seems to be open during diastole, wouldn't there be a regurgitation?

@tingmarco1 There are a lot of causes for CCF. Not necessarily Afib, usually after an AMI (heart attack) , although Afib does carry an increased risk of blood clots and therefore strokes.

This is for all of those of you who are currently suffering from congestive heart failure! Do not allow any doctor to place any kind of foreign man-made object into your body! This is not natural and may cause infection, rejection or worse! The most viable and intelligent solution to congestive heart failure is first undergo a 7day detox program-no sodas,no white flour,no white sugar,no white rice, and no red meat! Take CoQ10- 200ml in liquid form.Drink only ionized water,& drink acai berry juice.

more cows, leads to more ethane gas which leads to more chemical distortion of the ozone layer which then leads to global warming and the glass house effect which then leads to extreme weather changes in weather including drought or blizzards which then unfortunately leads to an unfavorable environment to grow your veges in......sorry we need to keep the ecosystem in order, by the way what do you feed your cat or dog are they veges too? Bit unfair if I cant have a hamburger but my dog can.....?

Send this to 10 people in the next 15mins.
    And something good will happen,
Because you read this, you will get kissed on friday.
BREAK IT and your crush will ask someone else out.
Tomorrow will be the best day of your life.
However, if you don't send this to at least 10 people,
You will have bad luck for 10 years of your life.
Send this to 15 people in 15mins.
Now lets get this party started!!

Could be that there is air trapped near your heart, and when you raise your arms to remove your shirt you temporarily alleviate the problem. It isn't dangerous, and this would be the best case scenario. If it persists, it may be a symptom of a more serious problem, and I would advise that you contact your local Physician for a diagnosis. Hope this helps.
