  • Education is key to a more sustainable future but learning can be far more fun than just sitting in a classroom being spoon fed information. Rather than being passive, all of us, at whatever age, can become lifelong learners by doing. This is learning by immersion and it is transformative!
Permaculture projects across the UK and all over the world are teaching children and adults how to create regenerative systems through living examples of land stewardship, appropriate technology and healthy food.
Embercombe in Devon is a rural example of living with the land. They feel strongly about land based learning, and teach visitors a wide range of practical skills as well as how to become effective community leaders and change makers.
Offshoots in the city of Burnley is an award winning urban example. On one acre of land, they run courses on bee keeping, farming & breeding, renewable technologies, food growing, woodland management and blacksmithing. More than a course venue, Offshoots are visionary pollinators of ideas in their community and offer opportunities for volunteering and skill sharing at every level.

I believe it's legit cause I can see their teeth. Nah, people in the middle ages actually kept their teeth clean. Haven't you watched Modern History TV channel? Look, the problem isn't that the earth needs care as if it was a deity that needs to be adored, something that primitive cultures did and still do. The issue is that we're forgetting how to LOVE. How to love everything, including PART of creation, which is the Earth. God isn't the earth. God is the WAY you incur LOVE and much more, BEING itself. Thomas of Aquinas already dealt with this.
That whole adoration of falling in love narcissisms of the "human species being capable to become anything" is big LIE. It's on the book of Genesis, and it leads to self deception at an individual psychological level, at a POSTMODERNIST level at the sociological level and to DEATH in the spiritual level. No, just like EVERYTHING else in creation humans have a Nature. They have patterns they repeat in every context, time and space. They function the same way at different levels. Don't confuse being ADAPTABLE with changing at a core level. We're adaptable to THIS reality. Be careful what you say as it can easily transform into narcissim and self deception.

There's a joke about a guy who ends up growing goats because he wanted to make drum skins so he could play drums so he could PRODUCE a record. So there you go.
