For the Raiders, this was the end of a nightmare 3 game gauntlet (Denver, Chicago, Seattle)

I love the Raiders, but that 84 Seahawks team would've made the Super Bowl if Warner didn't blow his knee out. Their style was eerily similar to New England's the following year, but with no Warner, they didn't have the same kind of dominant run game.

even though Dr.Dan wasnt bad...bringing in Franco Harris to play after he was pretty much done tells you how Badly they missed my all time Favorite Player.

Another Hawks classic, they’re best teams ever had killer defenses. Unfortunately we haven’t seen that since 2015.

    Fredd Young
During his college career at New Mexico State a little-known backup linebacker named Britt Mayberry suggested that Frederick Kimball Young change the spelling of his shortened first name. Mayberry told his teammate, Fred Young, that he should add a second ‘D’ to his name because he hit so hard it made opposing players stutter. Thus, Fred Young became Fredd Young.
    Seattle Seahawks (1984-1987)
4x Pro Bowl selection (2 at Special Teams and 2 at Linebacker)
2x All-Pro selection (1 at Special Teams, 1 at Linebacker)
In 1988 he was traded to Indianapolis for the Colts’ 1st round draft picks in 1989 and 1990. He played with them for 3 years and retired after the 1990 season due to injuries.

13:03...typical Marc Wilson. If the throws that ball accurately, Branch has a huge gain, similar to his catch in the Super Bowl earlier in the year.

1:18:34 - One of the most vicious special teams hits I've ever seen -- and it was a clean hit, too, because the kick returner got right back up.

      Fredd Young with that hit.

That's two costly fumbles in as many games for the usually reliable Frank Hawkins. Followed early in the third by one from Marcus. In fairness all were strips, not true fumbles, so kudos to the"D". Then one from Todd!

Another game were my RAIDERS pretty much Dominated!!!!! But Two huge things 1 the raiders with all their greatness have always been TO prone, we were goin in an turn it over hawks really got all their points cause of this!!! 2 #6 in his defense in this game his hand was messed up an you could tell even fa him!!!! If we had any kinda QBin an don't always TO the ball specially at cruicial points it's not even a game!! Once again onea the most underated players I've had the pleasure of seeing an onea my very best Raiders Eva the my boy the great #71 bill pickel was outstanding had nothin against kinlaw I liked him an he's a Raider an played the run solid but bill did everything an for a primary knosetackle it's unheard of how premier a pass rusher he was, I hated when we got Golic it was the same crap Golic good enough against the run but that's it! Bill was only in his 7th season in 89 when we got Golic an then he started over pickel a Joke that's on shell!!!! Anyway another pretty much given away game fa my RAIDERS in this one even with the injury ta the 6-6 drip of water had it not been fa the TO's we win fairly handly case closed!!! Also it woulda prevented us goin ta the Kingdome in the post season!!! I can go on but choose not to haha!!!! OAKLAND!!!!!!!! RAiDERS faeva!!!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🦏🐼🐻🦍🐳🐂🐊🦊🐬

Rossy Russo This always flies under the radar brother obviously because of 1980 and 83 but the real die-hards know that there should’ve been another title in there between 82-86 and there’s ALOT of blame to go around..team was way too talented to not even see even another conference championship game after any of those seasons..once it became obvious that we had put together and all-time great defense then the hammer needed to come down on the penalty/turnover situation that plagued us season after season and from an offensive standpoint the priority/focus after 83 should’ve been playing ball control with Marcus/Todd C.RIP..and keeping Plunkett HEALTHY..not still trying to spread the f***in ball around and be explosive..that dream came and went the minute we drafted Mosebar instead of Marino😂..that’s ok it happens! But as far being explosive like 80..82..83 it just wasn’t gonna happen anymore with Branch limping around and Jim P. 38 friggin years old! The tough pill to swallow was that it wouldn’t of mattered if we fell to middle of the pack offensively after 1983 with that defense and 32 and 46 on offense if we just stopped friggin beating ourselves every week..it was all a no-brainer man☠️🏉

I've always hated the Seattle Seahawks with a passion, both when they were in AFC West & today being in NFC West! Back then the LA Raiders was my team & today it's the LA Rams. On a side note, it's hard to believe that Tom Flores became a coach for the Seahawks in the late 80's!

    • @senselessmonkee
      @senselessmonkee 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Never have heard very good reviews of Tom's coaching even though he was a SB winner the team was already loaded with talent. Rick Mirer played well with him but Rick never played well with other coaches.

Seahawks were first team to beat Raiders twice in a season 1978. Then beat them 4 in a row 78-79. Even beat them twice in 1983. Plunkett saw last playoff game in wild card at Kingdome 1984. Always hated Al Davis with a passion. Then in 1986 shut them out for first time on Monday Night Football 37-0.

At this time the Raiders would have their 3rd loss on a Monday Night on ABC. Their first a 21-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills in first game in 74. Their 2nd a 23-10 loss to the Chargers on the last game of their crap 81 season. Then this one 17-14. Damn the Seattle uniforms were sharp. As were the Seattle Sea Gals. The Seattle uniforms today are hideous. As is the NFL. Sorry! Niners had best cornerbacks and defensive backs. Especially in 1984.
