    I have the demo version where the toe and heel pieces are moveable. I don't have that AFB screw and my forward pressure is by an allen head instead of a posi.

      @pete990, usually the newer griffon demos have a forward pressure indicator on the left side of the heel piece. Typically its a white plastic window and you should see a black line inside the window when the forward pressure is correct. Don't touch that allen head you're taking about. You are correct that the demo version does not have an AFD adjustment.

    It seems like my heel piece is incredibly stiff and it even damaged the base of my skis when stepping out. Is that normal? It certainly doesn’t seem as easy as when you released the binding in the video. Thanks!

      Sounds like it would be worth it to get your bindings tested at a certified shop to make sure the heel springs are operating correctly. Marker has made the latest generation of Griffons easer to click into but you shouldn’t be damaging your bases.

      Griffons have always been harder for me to step out of. Then I heard that they were making them easier to step out, so I bought a new pair with my new skis this season and they feel the exact same lol

      @@lukeplum9645 it’s much more noticeable when stepping into bindings not stepping out.

      Yeah same here, the binding just seems way too tight when adjusted properly. Stepping in carves off some of the heel plastic of the boot. It doesn‘t feel like that‘s supposed to happen at all.

    I couldn’t find a video for the Marker TPX 12, but I’m assuming the forward pressure setting is that black line in the white window and there is no AFD adjustment

      Always good to get your bindings checked by a certified shop. You are correct about the black line in the white window. Most of the marker track based bindings do not have an adjustable AFD.

    How to adjust length? 20mm should be possible?

    • @TheSkiMonster
      @TheSkiMonster  ปีที่แล้ว

      @manup1156, Its unlikely that you can move 20mm (roughly two boot sizes) without needing to be re-mounted. Typically you can get about 10-12mm bigger or smaller from the original size used to mount the bindings the first time.

      @@TheSkiMonsterit does say 20 on the Marker website. Seems like too much and would begin to mess with the alignment of the recommended line but technically possible.

      @@TheSkiMonster Great Video. Thanks. I have Marker Griffons on several sets of skis. I would really really really appreciate it if in the future the bindings had more than 20mm of adjustability. From the design perspective, I don't see any reason why the metal thread component couldn't be twice as long and allow for much more adjustability. I have kids that are growing and boots that are being changed and these bindings, and others, are limited. Its kind of ridiculous that they don't' make the metal thread component 2 to 3 times longer.
