Oblivion was my TES gateway! And while I will always love it, I completely agree with the dynamic difficulty and its impact on leveling... Especially after playing Daggerfall and being absolutely humbled by even lower-tier undead. I truely want to thank you for embarking on this journey as I once did. (Yes, I've played all the main line titles.) However, I think I've discovered a new-found appreciation for Skyrim from your freshly-documented experience with the older games. Despite its somewhat homogeneous approach to character builds, it allowed players to fairly intuitively map their build's progression, making every step rewarding. Thank you, Kaiser! I think it's safe to say, you're a real fan.

Maybe because I first bought this game fairly recently on GOG so I got all the DLCs but I found a few really OP enchanted weapons fairly early on and I absolutely mashed the early and midgame enemies. Plus maybe my build was accidentally pretty optimised for the armor and weapons I found. And this coming from someone with fairly terrible hand eye coordination, I didn't find it that excruciatingly hard
Also I was absolutely overrun by goddamn wolves, bears and lions every time I dared to set foot an inch off the main path 😂
I never said the game was hard. If youre referring to my comments on combat its that combat was boring not difficult
