This patch modifies the colors so the game looks closer to it’s prequel Splatterhouse 1 (Arcade): * Includes one IPS patch for fixed colors only and one for fixed colors & classic Splatterhouse 1 Rick, for the Genesis and Japanese Mega Drive version * All Rick animations, HUD, Title screen, mask pictures redrawn wherever possible (see readme for details) * some enemies and tiles slightly touched up to get more colors out of the limited 64 color workspace, e.g. stage one boss now has brown teeth, some backgrounds have more detail * updated to also support the Japanese version “Splatterhouse Part 2″

Yeah. WiiU is possibly my favourite console ever. You can play about 15 Zelda's, God knows how many Mario games, the Wii Fire Emblem is amazing. Sin and Punishment is my favourite (rails) shooter. There was a surprising amount of quality games for Wii and WiiU and they all play on WiiU. I actually sold my PS4 and bought a WiiU and I preferred it to my PS4. I now have PS4 again and Switch but play my WiiU and Switch much more often than my PS4.

MetalJesusRocks Splatoon and Lego City Undercover are great too. I know the latter is getting a remake soon, but it was made especially for the Wii U so it's gonna be real different.
I will take every opportunity I'm allowed to recommend The Wonderful 101. Its got a bit of a steep learning curve, but its so worth it for the action, scale, and story. That game deserved so much more love than it got.

Wii U is great ... Xenoblade Chronicles X., Mario 3D land, Mario Maker, Pikmin 3, Twilight Princess HD, Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Splatoon.. New Super Mario/Luigi , .. Love playing the old school Wii, SNES, N64, GBA games as well, on the TV or gamepad when I go to bed .. Very underrated console.
WiiU has quite a few good games. I've never regretted getting mine and glad others can look past the negative hype to see the goodness! I definitely won't be unhooking my WiiU anytime soon!
What hold me off were the long droughts, yeah its easy to look back on it now and say "Woah! Those games are amazing!" but if you were there at the time waiting weeks or even months for their to be a quality title coming out, it would suck.

This is one of the best reviews. I can't stop picturing Metal Jesus and Reggie wearing headphones and holding mics, giving us the "play by play" of each game.
I have to say I love Abzu. I love it because of the visual style and being able to just freely explore without feeling challenged to move forward. It's a very calming game that you can just relax and play and feel any kind of stress while playing it. I can understand why people wouldn't be into it because it's not engaging you with any action but it's different and that's part of its charm for me.
Hobjo153 I have over 30 games for the Wii U and would say they are all very good games. And there is still about 10 more that I want. Wii U will go down as the most underrated console of all time. Don't knock it till you try it pal.
I have tried it, I got one at launch. Speaking as someone who owns pretty much every console going back to the SNES, and a gaming PC; I've only found 6 Wii U games that were worth getting on the system where as the Vita has the initial 6 from back when it got AAA games, plus a bunch of RPG and Visual Novels, plus all my indie games.
Man y'all really got some top recommendations...I'm in to retro collecting but you're really opening my eyes up to the later hidden gems e.g ps2 onwards...great job, thank you!

+MetalJesusRocks it's also a result of a failed collaboration between Shin Megami Tensei and FE. Which is why spells are called like zio and bufu and dia, just like they are in SMT.
I'm pretty sure he was talking about the fact that it was revealed as "Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem" only to disappear for 1 or 2 years to finally come back as what it is now, not that it was a bad game.
Blade Runner was also one of my favorite games in the PC back in the day! The music, background scenary effects, the lighting, story, all fantastic! Great choice and congrats!

I love your stuff so much! Reggie definitely hit a note with me, as I have unloaded a big part of my collection recently. All of my Atari stuff, gone. Most of my older stuff I have gotten rid of, just because I'm not gonna play them anymore. I wanted them to get love. Even still, I kinda miss them. My only gripe on that is that I lost my original copy of Earnest Evans for Genesis. They are going for upwards of $200! It got terrible ratings and all, but it was a holy grail for my brother and me, because it was SO FREAKING HARD TO BEAT! One of the few times we got along, brotherly love and all, but I absolutely loved that game. All the nostalgia aside, you guys had some great picks!

The Wii U first party games are all excellent. Nintendo really knows how to work within the limitations of their hardware.

I can understand why people wouldn't be into it because it's not engaging you with any action but it's different and that's part of its charm for me.

No, the Wii U was a horrible system with a few really good games, the Vita was a good system with a few more really good games.
Hobjo153 I have over 30 games for the Wii U and would say they are all very good games. And there is still about 10 more that I want.
Wii U will go down as the most underrated console of all time.

I have tried it, I got one at launch. Speaking as someone who owns pretty much every console going back to the SNES, and a gaming PC; I've only found 6 Wii U games that were worth getting on the system where as the Vita has the initial 6 from back when it got AAA games, plus a bunch of RPG and Visual Novels, plus all my indie games.
Man y'all really got some top recommendations...I'm in to retro collecting but you're really opening my eyes up to the later hidden gems e.g ps2 onwards...great job, thank you!

I love your stuff so much! Reggie definitely hit a note with me, as I have unloaded a big part of my collection recently. All of my Atari stuff, gone. Most of my older stuff I have gotten rid of, just because I'm not gonna play them anymore. I wanted them to get love. Even still, I kinda miss them. My only gripe on that is that I lost my original copy of Earnest Evans for Genesis. They are going for upwards of $200! It got terrible ratings and all, but it was a holy grail for my brother and me, because it was SO FREAKING HARD TO BEAT! One of the few times we got along, brotherly love and all, but I absolutely loved that game. All the nostalgia aside, you guys had some great picks!
