Just found your channel. Really nice weathering on the locomotive and rolling stock. Are your cars 2- rail or 3-rail conversions? I know that 2 rail rolling stock really works well with ScaleTrax.
Hi. Thanks for the compliment and viewing. Great question. My cars are all on scale wheels, tucks and couplers. Many of the cars are three rail trucks that I fit with scale wheels and ground down. But nowadays if I can just buy two rail rolling stock I will. It’s a lot easier so many are just 2 rail. I haven’t figured out how I should light the 2 rail passenger cars interiors. Only regret is I have to go slow through switches. I use all # 6 switches but have to go through the switches slowly as the space after the frog designed for the hi rail cars to ride on their flanges can cause a two rail car to unexpectedly derail or split the switch. It doesn’t happen often but I won’t switch a passenger train at hi speed because of it. I’ll be posting more videos in the fall. OGR is using my layout for an article so I’m letting that come out before I put up more videos.
Very nice!
Thank you
