  • In today's video, I am going to show you how to connect ethernet LAN cable to your Mi TV Box.
    All you need to have is the USB LAN cable adaptor. So you can convert the LAN port to USB port and connect with your TV Box through that USB.
    After connect the LAN cable you now can automatically use the internet without any additional setup.

    My internet is 250Mbps fast. I tried one RJ 45 Lan no-name adapter 10/100 and it worked but the speed on speedtest app wasn't above 80 Mbps download. Then I bought one not so cheap, up to 1000 Mbps with those two lights and it didn't work at all.

    I have the same box and the same adapter but the box does not detect the adapter because the adapter lights do not light up. However, with an adapter from another brand it works.

    It seems quite straight forward but what about the transfer speed. I have 50mb Fibre line. Will I still get 50mb speed?

    • @tiagodvt
      @tiagodvt 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it will. It can get low 100s. I have 500mb and with this same adapter it gets 100-110. It doesn't get more because of the Mi Box USB 2.0. I actually get faster speeds through wifi. But if you only 50, you won't loose any speed.

      @@TTURKI yes, of course. I'd rather get 100 through cable than 500 with wifi. Way more stable and 100 is more than enough for streaming.

    ! have the same problem.
    Usb-ethernet connections seems to fail or go of and on after the mi-box is updated to a newer android version i read on reddit
    I have the UGREEN 20264 3-ports USB 2.0 HUB-splitter + 10 / 100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet-adapter.
    My guess is that the box in the video isn't updated !
    You might try another brand ethernet/usb adapter, but i dont know if it solves the problem!

    • @doubledutchy70
      @doubledutchy70 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes but, maybe you have to disconnect the ethernet cable maybe 1 or more times and or try hanzo3585 suggestion that work too but pulling the ethernet cable in out and connect it back works faster and easier
      once it is connected it will work til you shut down or reboot the mi-box then you have to repeat the solution i suggested

    Dont use this method because the net will not be consistent, it will every 5 minutes tell you that ethernet is not connected and it will not suit you good. Best option is to just buy a wi fi extender and use the strong wi fi option and not this, the adapter is not the problem but the box which is built only for wi fi so you will have problems believe me

      so the HDMI extenders is the best option? I need to buy short lan cable just for my tv box and to tv? how could that be, when my lan cable came from router then end in my tv box Ethernet port? then HDMI port is different to my tv?
