Thanks man. I was actually wondering about this solution because my DAZN was sometimes suffering from the WiFi connection. Just went out and bought one and I'm using it.
Great video I have a firestick thinking about switching to a mibox .so question did u say you could not hook up a keyboard to the box or meaning you couldn't if you had this adapter connected?
if we use this apdater, it replaces your only usb on the box for a ethernet. If you buy an adapter that has usb and ethernet passthrough, you can hook up ethernet plus a keyboard. check out second link in my description for one that is ethernet and usb passthrough
HELP: My box streams fast on the internet but it's real slow (100Kbps) accessing the network NAS. If I put a minix on the same network connection it accesses the NAS really fast.
just a suggestion, but you could test your download speed on wifi and then test again with the ethernet adapter and you could test if it would work with a USB hub
The reason you don't see any speed test ANYWHERE is because the mibox s runs faster on wifi then with a ethernet adapter! I have bought 3 adapters including the Ugreen that everyone post about. and It DOES NOT speed up your connection. SAVE your money! DO NOT BUY ANY ADAPTERS!!
Having a problem trying to hardwire my xiaomi mi box when I put the usb ethernet cable in to my box and ethernet cable in to my router cant get a hardwired any help please
I have my DirecTV Genie Mini Box that has no Ethernet plug to it, it has a USB Jack to convert it to Ethernet, so I can go online, or connect to a router to get better WiFi. I hope it should work with no problem.
Leave the WiFi on too, on your Mi Box settings, and plug the Ethernet cable to your WiFi router directly. That way, it's still be on the same IP address.
This was the only reason I was reluctant to get the Mi Box, but knowing I can use my Ethernet adapter that I already have fixes that problem. Thanks!
How did u install the cable and get it to work??

My mibox updated and now wont accept my ethernet
Only downside is you can't use external drive + this adapter
in that case you can use an adapter that has passthrough usb
Ya but you can't cast
