I miss these scrollers, I remember playing in the 1980's the first Gradius games, the problem was that they were arcade games and they would sell the cabinets if they were not being played enough.
@13.48 I found the music and the graphics on point not taking away from another level or two just love the way that bg transitions, and with the music its like gaming perfection. I want this on my ps4.
No probs, I'm very sad that R-Type Delta and all original Irem games have been removed from PSN as I really want that, but check out R-Type Dimensions' that is on there and it's cool
The Restart Point yeeesss! I loved r-type! I played it years ago on my sega game gear, nintendo game boy and psx and I really loved them. But today I'm searching for couch-co-op-arcade games. So gradius V is perfect for me. Thanks
That was and still is one of the hardest side-scrolling PS2 game I've ever played alongside "Contra". Gradius V is so damn hard to play even if you leave it at normal difficulty in settings it's still hard. I remember playing this game for hours trying to get to the last level but, the bosses kept getting harder and harder to destroy. I did managed to get to the very last level but, never was able to complete it because the last boss is super hard to kill, just brutal. I don't remember exacly whether it was a big brain or an eye I had to kill, all I remember it was super difficult to kill. What got me were these "rhino" like horns coming out of the membrane walls at random, very suddenly and quickly and you never knew when they were gonna come out and stab your ship plus on top of that you're in this very confined, tight space, hardly able to move around, super difficult. If you like hard games this is it. I still like playing Gradius V from time to time in my PCSX2 emulator.
@@ian.swift.31614 First time I've heard of that game, I checked out the gameplay of it here in youtube and it does looks hard. If I can find the iso for the pcsx2 I'll download it and try it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
definitely try it sometime. It's a MAME game not PS2 There's no PS2 port or dreamcast port or anything like that, arcade only. i love Gradius V a lot more, it's just the Progear higher difficulties get wild @@JAMSTUBE

Can anyone help me solve the loging problem on boss battle at second stage. The screen freez i the emulator stop working. What is the best setting. Im using lenovo loptop with nvidia 8m i think.
