    I’ve watched several of your packaging idea videos and all of them have so far been the best I’ve ever seen! You are covering everything from low cost to higher end, quick to more time consuming, ect. The inspiration is endless!!

    I love your tags and ideas.
    If you would like to stop the fraying on the linen tags, using a zip zag pair or scissors would help alot. Not only does it add a cool texture to the perimeter lines, but there are so many different style zig zag scissors.
    But that's just a tip. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing. It's still very pretty, and the handmade extras that you put into your merchandise is certainly very special.

      @SarahTypes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thank you! I actually thought of that when getting all the supplies together and couldn't find those but I thought maybe they would do a better job, thanks for the tip!

      @@SarahTypes I love the look you have going now. I always appreciate any effort made to make my purchases extra special, since You don't have to do anything other than package and send an order. It shows you care about your business and your customers.
      The only reason I mentioned it was because my Mother in Law (RIP momma) gave my daughter, who is an artist, a gallon ziplock bag of all different styles of those scissors last summer. She was an avid garage/estate sell customer, so she always found really cool items.

    Hi. Like many of your ideas and appreciate the suggestions. Do you factor in cost + time with your packaging?

    • @SarahTypes
      @SarahTypes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes definitely! I try to do things that aren't too tedious and can probably be used for many different products. I also do them in bulk so they are ready to go. I try to find inexpensive and low waste ideas. I also try to match it up with the product.. for lower cost products, I won't put as much time. If someone is spending $200, i don't mind spending a little extra time. Good packaging also tends to get shared more on social media as well because people like to share that unboxing experience so it's also kind of a marketing tool. I think it's a balance you have to try and figure out but I always consider how much of my time I'll be using and I do calculate the cost of the shipping materials and add that to my listing price.

    You can easily stop the fraying by taking a lighter to the edges. Be careful not to keep the fire on edges for to long. Lots of great ideas you have.

    Scratches that itch. Not itches that scratch...LOL. I love your fabric tags, but really the time you put into making your farbic tags with vinyl do you really think the customer is going to keep your tag? Seems like a waste of time that could be used in making more products.

    • @SarahTypes
      @SarahTypes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don't think they will keep it at all.. if you make them in bulk and not one at a time it wouldn't actually be too time consuming. It's more about the experience when you receive the product. I think when you buy something hand made that is quite pricey, it's nice to add an extra touch for packaging. You could also use a fabric stamp instead of vinyl to make it even speedier!

    This was good till that constant "questioning" intonation you used started to become so irritating.
