Anyone else think that the guitar tone on the entire Commandment album is just awesome? I usually like real tight distortion but Steve's tone is just so meaty and....well meaty. Love it.

Today, April 17th, the day Commandment was released one of the best Death N Roll/Death Metal albums! Chris Barnes sounds great on this, as well as the rest of the band. This album to me is like 13 but Better! They really held on that groove sound of 13, improved on it, and made an amazing brutal sounding record! HAIL SIX FEET UNDER AND CHRIS BARNES! One of my top favorite Death Metal bands EVER! 🤘🤘🤘

In my metalized opinion Chris leaving Cannibal Corpse and forming Six Feet Under was the best thing to happen to metal for ever and ever.George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher's singing style is far better suited for Cannibal and Chris's style has been developed to fit and make Six Feet Under a truly great band.Or something like that.

I wanna start a cover band for SFU I've been constantly practicing my voice to sound similar to Chris's voice , I love everything about this band and when I die I have a playlist ready to be played in dedication to SFU After somany times I've seen death and died myself, this type of music is the only thing I can truly relate too

Anything that is in the metal genre as a whole is good.I think what most peoples problem with Whitechapel is that they are more tailored to the recent influx of "Posers" into the metal scene.Whitechapel, Suicide silence, Born of Osiris and Attack attack for example are all bands that dont set a good example for metal and mostly dont seem to understand metal themselves.They try to be heavy just for the sake of being heavy so kids can listen to them and feel like cool outcast when they are not.

The music is absolutely amazing. I love the sound. The vocals are complete garage. And that's a damn shame for such an incredible sound. This song needs to be redone with a different vocal approach. You can growl and scream, with an "angrier" approach, that still clarifies the lyrics and expresses the emotion. These vocals are just Grah Grah blah blah what?? I feel like these are the types of vocals people outside of metal mock and criticize, rather then respect.
Death metal always had a problem with having charismatic frontmen. Chris Barnes is one of the few exceptions to the rule. Most of the time, the frontmen seem to kind of blend in with the rest of the band, which might work for the music but isn't really memorable when you perform.
Barnes is an icon of old school Death metal! :)
