I was in the U.S. Navy and i asked my C.O. to play this song over the ships loud speakers as we pulled into port after a long 8 month deployment in the Persian Gulf and he obliged being a Crue fan himself. As we approached the pier with hundreds of eagerly waiting family and friends to meet us and this song playing it was a rush of pride and relief coupled with rock concert cheers from those on the pier that was overwhelming. Something i will never ever forget in my lifetime.
Now that's good leadership right there. Thank you for your service.

In 1986 I was miserable kid in high school. The only bright spot of my day was hanging with my drummer friend Barbie in music class. She was a total rocker chick, had epic big 80s hair and was OBSESSED with the Crüe. We would play Home Sweet Home together on the piano. I totally had a crush on her but was too shy to ask her out. I never got a picture of her or found out what happened to her after high school. So if you're reading this Barbie McDaniel, thank you for being my friend. Hope you are still rocking to the Crüe. Best wishes and much love from the future!

The Netflix doco The Dirt was awesome. A band that's literally seen it all and somehow survived.
Unlike some other bands getting around they knew when to stop, maybe they better whisper into Paul Stanley's ear some advice from Dr Feelgood.
I seen them live in 2000 Vince was back but Tommy Lee was busy so the chick drummer from Hole filled it and it rocked. Megadeth opened for them. It was awesome as fuck.

My best friend was a funny goofy kid and a fan of rap but knew nothing about rock/metal. At one point this was his favorite song and he would sing it and play it on his phone everywhere. So much that I ended up hating this song haha. We would always make fun of him because he knew nothing about this kind of music but always played this song and would act like he is a rockstar. Months later he passed away at 19 years old and we played this song at his funeral. I now love this song and it will always remind me of his goofy ass singing it. RIP brother ❤️

@@dillonmichaels6037 yeah but I can't say it's from my generation, I can't say my generation made music as good as this
Some ONE I getchu but considering you’re not the one making the music yourself what does it matter which generation made it, just enjoy the easy access you have to all this great artistry? And if you know where to look you’ll find that our generation makes great music too! Also consider this take, your dad’s generation might have had Motley Crue and other great artists but they also had shitty artists just like we do now, but we only hear and know of the great ones cause the previous generation filtered through the good and bad for us. Now it’s on us to do the same for future generations. But we also must remember that music is subjective and we should be respectful of what others choose to listen to ☺️
@@dillonmichaels6037 I gotcha, at least you respect others opinions and are not a toxic fan, also yes, I do try to make music lol

@@carlsmith1263 Yeah, but singing the music into the microphone and making it an original experience is pretty important vs. listening to a Milli Vanilli presentation.....
I remember coming home from school and Home Sweet Home being number one on the MTV Countdown for over a year!!
They had to remove it from the countdown because nothing could beat it, fact!
@@jonoverstreet Yes it was called the "Crue Rule".
I cheered and so did all of my friends when MTV finally banned this song. NOBODY wanted to hear it anymore and it was obvious the result was being manipulated somehow.
In the 1980’s the phone system was analog. There were choke points, which meant callers from some parts of the country would have difficulty getting through to New York where MTV is located. This was explained to us after a local band appeared on Basement Tapes and lost partly because “the phone lines were jammed” and voters from our town couldn’t get through.
The point of this story being - a relatively small but devoted cadre of Crue fans in a major node like Los Angeles could put Home Sweet Home up to #1, while everyone else struggled to get in through jammed lines.
When #1 on the countdown came up, and it was f**king Motley Crue AGAIN it was time to change the channel.

Good times. Its a tragedy how time passes by like a fart in the wind. I saw Motley 32 years ago headlining Day On the Green at the Oakland Coliseum around this time of year. I have also seen them a few other times. Never a disappointment. Hopefully they really do reform and tour again in 2020.
Wow DJ that's alot of times seeing Motley Crue my goodness, you are definitely a committed fan right. Nothing wrong with listening to good music no doubt about that. I would go crazy If I didn't have my music to listen to, it soothes the soul sometimes and makes you feel better.
This was my dad's favorite song this song brings back so many memories..... When I'm missing my dad I listen to this song he passed away 2009
I got married on august 2018, i entered the ceremony with this song! #motleyforever

-Congratulations-
Home sweet home at last for you!!
We were returning from a deployment to Somalia in early 94. We had just gotten back on post at Ft. Drum, NY. While waiting for what we were told was a police escort to the Welcome Home ceremony, someone on the bus starting playing this song. It's held a special meaning for me ever since.
Who's here because they're over 30 and have always just LOVED these guys???
🙋♀️🙋♀️
I always been a true die hard MetallicA fan but I also fuckin loved the CRUE!!! Dr. Feelgood I had on cd when I was 11 and I listened to it constantly. So many GREAT tracks!!
This was the first music I fell in love with as a child
@@treybasketball6029 your mom
Sam Loomis wtf
This song has deep meaning for me after spending four years overseas fighting for my country I landed at DFW airport this was the first rock song that I heard on the radio and I was in tears by the end of the song
Because I was grateful to be home
원곡이 80년대 LA메탈(헤어메탈)계를 대표하는 개 명곡.
THIS SONG IS SO FUCKING GOOD
Hot Tub Time Machine made this music video even more awesome 😂💯
That's what made me listen to this song 😂😂😂
“No fucking way” *Starts playing imaginary piano*
motley lue
That is what put me on it lol, i’m 20 now that movie was my favorite growing up. One of my favorite songs ever too
For reals that where I heard from
That’s fate, That’s family and That’s Mötley Fucking Crüe
Seth Putnam is the soul and body of Mötley Crüe...
Wtf 89 likes?
No... Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, AND Nikki Sixx are the soul and body of Motley Crue 😄
he's a jealous hater. I used to be a fan of nikki sixx but after I saw what he said about steel panther he's just a jealous hater
HELL YES!🖖
Nikki is soul, Mick is the power, Vince is a voice, Tommy is their beat, together they are body of one and only Mötley Crüe
You take any of them out it's not Mötley Crüe anymore. They're all the heart and soul. The four of them together is pure perfection.
Just watched Jhon Cena playing this song on the piano in Peacemaker tv series and it brought so many memories from my Youth, I loved it.
and dont forget the movie hot tub time machine an outstanding performance from Rob Corddry
Iconic song and video is perfect memory of that time. They killed it then and still do.
@@buddhabob64 that's what brought me here!
I JUST SAW THAT THE OTHER DAY TOO! I LITERALLY BROKE OUT INTO SONG WHEN CENA STARTED PLAYING THIS ON THE PIANO 😂
Me too , was so amazing
I'm 50 years old now watching this video listening to this song wishing I could go back those were by far better days
Me too old man
They truly were!
Absolutely my friend would love to wake up and it's 1980 again and relive that entire generation.
uh yeah go back to where racism was worse than it is now lol
Be Heuy77 why u so fckin serious dude?
Love this song. Wish I was back In the 80s. MC take me back to my Home Sweet Home!
You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
It doesn't mean they were always wrong
Just take this song
And you'll never feel left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm coming off this long and winding road
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight, tonight
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
You know that I've seen
Too many romantic dreams
Up in lights, falling off the silver screen
My heart's like an open book
For the whole world to read
Sometime nothing keeps me together at the seams
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight, tonight
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Yeah, I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home
One of the Best sounds.
I love this song since decades ❤️ 😍 ♥️ 💕 Motley Fucking Crue. ❤️ and my favorite was Tommy Lee. ❤❤🥁🥁🥁❤️❤️
There will never be another band like this these were our idols back in the early 80s who influenced a whole generation...
IKR!!
God, life was sooooo much simpler then!
I was at Disney Word in Florida in 2005 and my daughter and I were coming back inside the food court and i pushed open the garbage container for a man that has is hands full and i saw Sixx on his knuckles and was star struck, it was Nikki Sixx and his family, I froze, he said Thanks man, my Vacation was complete. I didn't get a photo or autograph because it was family time for him and i respect that,
슈퍼밴드 보고 온사람 ~~
Let's see how many are listening in February 2024
I’m here. March 2024. Love this video.
Why do you care?
Does it matter if people discover crue through different things otherwise they wouldn't have got to hear this great music
