I wanted to know how the Honda would do in traffic. You answered my question. Well done Buddy! But here's the bonus, you even took away any doubts about the acceleration and the speed at the top end!

Escaping from traffic? Dude, there's no traffic for motorcycles. The traffic literally does not apply to you :D You just ride like you're an ambulance driver 5:40 and nobody can ever have an opinion about it...

Hi mate, which one you recommend between this bike and MT07?
I love the CP2 sounds but inline 4 of this one is also good.

I'd say try both before deciding, but here's my take regardless.
I trained on an MT-07 (2019) and bought a CB650R (2021) after I passed my unrestricted. The two bikes are very similar in some ways, but also very different in others.
The common ground: what I really like about both is that neither has too many bells and whistles, and certainly nothing that distracts from their purpose - enjoying the ride. You get ABS and traction control, both of which are pretty much completely unobtrusive in both bikes. You also get a very nice cable throttle in both. Very nice to me anyway. It's quite nonlinear, as all cable throttles are, but it's also as direct as it gets - like your hand is attached to your arse. Most people seem to prefer the artificially smoothed electronic ones, but I find myself much more precise when there isn't any latency or artificial smoothing getting in the way.
The engines are in the same power class, but feel very different. The MT-07 pulls at pretty much any rpm, and it pulls HARD. Never had so much fun as I did opening it up all the way in 2nd gear up the slip road. And 3rd. And 4th...
Now, it does run out of chooch pretty quickly, but until that happens you better hold on for dear life :P
The 650R has a better top end (and an extra 20bhp), BUT that power is not as usable, because it's only available at the upper end of the rev range. At the bottom end it feels quite tame. There IS torque, and plenty of it, but it doesn't snatch you by the arse like the MT-07 does. Not below 6-8k rpm. That suits me fine though, as I ride in all weather and this gives me a nice insensitive part of the power band to use whenever I need it (i.e. in the wet).
The gearboxes in both are pretty slick. I've had zero issues myself, though I've heard of people complaining about "false neutrals" in both. I call it operator error. Pull that lever all the way, don't just flick it a tiny bit.
The MT-07 does however tend to under-oil the gearbox while the engine is idling. We found ourselves having difficulties getting into neutral after stopping and not moving for a while. Simple solution - blip the throttle (that's what drives the oil pump) and it's all good. But that does have another implication, which is that you shouldn't be riding at very low rpm, because that can starve the gearbox of oil. While we were training, 50km/h would be 2nd gear. And it was a blast powering out of towns in 2nd. In contrast, my 650R would quite happily sit in 4th while just puttering around town like that. You wouldn't want to open it up real wide at that point, but as long as you're easy on the throttle it doesn't hurt anything.
Now, you _do_ get a bit of buzz from the 650R in its mid rpm range, 6500 seems to be where it peaks. You get that because Honda were too cheap to put a balancer shaft in it (and because people like me would probably be too cheap to buy one if they had). It's not much, but it's there and it's noticeable, especially when cruising on the motorway. It's also nothing compared to the vibrations you nominally get out of a CP2 engine.
I did scrape the pegs on the MT-07 a few times in training. Once on the controlled turn thing during module 1 practice, and a few more times mid-roundabout. They're just a bit low, it seems. Haven't done that on the 650R yet.
Suspension-wise, the 650R just feels PLANTED. It's quite well adjusted and more or less track ready. The handling is precise and it inspires confidence. The MT-07 in its stock form... bit less so. Now, there are easy ways to fix that without modifying too much, but still - should you have to? Besides, then it won't be the same wheelie machine :P It seems wheelies are a higher priority for Yamaha than track days, which in this class makes sense.
My biggest issue with that particular 2019 MT-07 is how cheap the switch gear feels. The indicator switch in particular - ZERO feedback. I kept on having to look down to see if I the indicators were actually on or not. The 650R in contrast feels quite premium in this regard.
So yeh, ultimately it's down to preference. I quite like the characteristics of the 650R (which is partly why I bought one) and the styling (which is mainly why I bought one). I like the MT-07 too, but that indicator switch killed it for me.
Ultimately though, you should try both and then make up your mind.

they are both very good, the big difference is in the power, the mt has power at low revs and the cb at high revs, I personally like the sound of the four cylinders in line more, but it is a matter of taste

MT7 serie got the punch at around 2000 rev.
      While CB650R got at 7000..
Many go MT for easy wheelie, but if u can wheelie a cb650r then u can master any bike for wheelies and they can't ;)
