The Dover tunnel was built by Japanese construction company by huge shield machine.The machine can dig and making wall in same time. And digging machines digged from both side. But final problem was the most important and difficult. It was to connect two tubes under sea. Bottom of Dover is very muddy. So Japanese company made the around of two tubes freeze as well as rock. After the bottom of sea freezed the machine digged and connected two tubes. Now you can pass the tunnel.

Wow. I didn't expect to find your comment on this channel. I am Japanese and a fan of your American freeway videos. Brings back good memories of my childhood growing up in the States, when my parents took me around the country on family trips and such, driving through the vast prairies and the Rocky Mountains on I-80, cruising along Florida's coastlines on I-95, or just simply getting around our hometown back then on a three-digit beltway.
It's such a coincidence that I just watched your video on Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel before reaching here. (CBBT provided a model for the Tokyo Bay Aqua Line in its early design stages.)

O.K..............the Japanese culture. They make you think that the Japanese is the best culture and the Japnese are the number one citizens in the world. And they are so bound by an honor and if they think they had caused any shame,they will commit suicide. And when the nuclear disaster took place at fukushima,the TEPCO which is owned by the Japanese gov had lied to their citizens saying that they are in control of the situation and they had lied to their own citizens. As long as you buy their products and you keep telling them that they are the number one,why should any japanese hate you? What do you think about the german culture since japan and germany were allies during WW2!

羽田空港の近くに住んでるんで千葉に行く時が楽でいいですね。
ただ長いトンネルは渋滞時が眠くなりつらいし、
トンネル抜けた後の一面の東京湾の眺めは最高だが、
風でハンドル取られる時もありビビった事も(笑)
夜も朝も昼も長めが最高！俺も羽田空港の近くに住んでる。
