Might I recommend a couple dozen roses for Mrs bassgeek so when she sees how much you spent 😂😂😂😂😂. Love how you break everything down instead of look at all my purdy new baits. 💯% squad here
It's awesome to see you know what's going on with heads I'm much older but I always experimented back in the day, so many options it gives me a headache but your breakdowns are great
Definitely picked up some phenomenal baits Hank I like your style. Those duo realis bayruff seek 85 are the deal I slayed em last month on the UV Flash color. As always thank you for another great video I really do appreciate everything you do for us geeks. #HUNDOSQUAD
No I use them different than most and then there are how most use them. My Favorite is 7ft Med heavy spinning with 8lb Fl. I rig the on a belly weight I like one with no spring 3/0. That’s my deep drop it rig. Then 10-12 on a spinning rod 7ft MedHvy Fast with a 3/0-4/0 hook. That’s for shallow water over brush or trees
Hank, I want to share this with you & the viewers. I like to fish a Jika Rig. I make my own: Your choice of hook, split ring & drop shot weight. I make them in 1/8oz thru 1/2oz weights. If you are snagging with a wobble head use this in it's place. It comes through cover pretty good. Baits: Swimbait (yes it works as good a a jig head), hula grub, grubs, tubes, BBB smasher and best of all is the Baby D-bomb & D-bomb. I caught LM bass on the D-bombs with skim ice on parts of the lake this December. Don't know why but they do. NE KS area.
I like the Techs ball heads ..I got some VMC 3/8th but the hook is made more for the 4inch still. I hear ya there . I am not big as on the secret lures heads for tubes . The EWG Ned locks I’ve been able to fit over the head with a little hack and a lot times I prefer the head ..bait sets better on bottom ..I’m curious about them biigger ned lock heads u showed to fish weedless bigger version of stick baits..I’ve been experimenting myself ..I have some of the big bite baits shakey head bigger hooks , there good ..them and owner I like but big bites do have some bigger sizes…I gotta get better with my blade bait fishing and working on getting better with my Demaki rigs . I’m a jig /jerkbait dude
Please keep us updated on the redesigned LFS. It is/was the best bang for buck reel and really hope it didn't make a change for the worse. I own eight of the older models and replace them every 2-3 years depending on ware and tare.

I agree with you. I kinda find it. Funny. Everything reverts back too a simple ball head jig. Use it a different way. It’s something special. Up here it walleye. Land. Grew up tinny kid with a simple ball head jigs. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
AS long as you get them back within 3min smallmouth will go right back down. Spots are mostly the same however largemouth you almost always have to fizz. Now if it’s a tournament I like G Juice and fin weights but you have to hold them for a while
#100percentwatchsquad My family always gets me gift cards for Academy, Bass Pro, and Tackle Warehouse every year for Christmas. Funny thing is though, my wife is also a bassin' junky and she likes to look over my shoulder as I'm spending the Bass Pro card she got me, lol. Of course she got to pick out a few things!

I hope they pay off.
Hello Hank! Great to meet you in person at the Raleigh Expo. Please let me know if you hook anything with that homemade lure!
I sure will sir.
Hank what is your setup for the 4” caffeine shads? Rod and line hook etc. Want to pick your brain

I will use a jerkbait baitcaster also over the trees 10-12 sometime with a belly weight sometimes not. The bait caster is a 7.0:1 rod Medium Fast
Wanting that lfs reel I have lots of lews reels I have the old lfs Waiting to find it on sale I'm like you i hope it's as good as the old one
The new line of Rebel soft plastics that just dropped in the fall are freakin amazing too
They look great that's for sure.
You should look at doing a Cheburashka rig. You can have heavy weight with whatever hook you want.
Heck yeah! Great tip.
Could you possibly lead wire wrap a jig head?
Hummmm don’t know

Great videos…ever fish guntersville much?
I have never fished it. I fished Chick (right above it) but never made it down to Gville. I need to bad.
VMC redline is coming with a tungsten head heavy with 1/0 and 3/0
NICE! Thanks!

Happy New Year! lol
This year I’m going to focus on getting better with cranks and jigs. I feel like I put way too much time into Topwater in 2024.
Two very good baits to get good with

So simple you’re so right.
Just a question ... Do you do any thing different with the bass taken from those deep waters versus shallow waters before releasing them?
AS long as you get them back within 3min smallmouth will go right back down. Spots are mostly the same however largemouth you almost always have to fizz. Now if it’s a tournament I like G Juice and fin weights but you have to hold them for a while
@BassGeek Thank you very much, Stay safe, God bless you with tight lines.
Are you going to be at the 2025 fishing expo in Raleigh..
