They kinda got kicked to the curb by the masses when the chatterbait made the scene...which was a HUGE mistake. Great video! Love seeing guys that are still fishing old school ways. It’s how I fish and how my boys are being taught to fish. It would be great seeing some on the water videos throwing some of the big spinnerbaits, how you fish them, what you look for, depth, etc…
There's a video somewhere in all these of me catching 4 Bigs...diferent days, weather, etc. It's called "Big Blade at Work". I throw them where a lot of people would throw a crankbait and, it's easier. The heavy ones will run 5-6 ft deep on a normal cast and retrieve....or, you can count them down and run them as deep as you want.
Yeah I’d be interested in some spinner baits I’ve had a lot of interest in throwing large baits since I started watching your videos and the podcast you did with fishing north Georgia. Something about throwing a large swim bait or spinner bait trying to catch the largest trophy bass sounds awesome to me 😅
I don't have all that many left, and, my source for the bodies I like sorta dried up....but, I'll look around and see exactly what I have left. They would be $22/each plus shipping....or, I'd let 2 go for $50 shipped. That's providing I have enough left to part with. I don't want to mess around and not have any left for my own use.
That’s sounds good if it’s a huge hassle I wouldn’t worry about me right now because it would probably be a little while before I could buy one, but if you still I e some in a few weeks I would for sure be interested
Wow too bad at my age ,use to fish tournaments, 77 now, your friends don't want to go with me, l like big baits , wish I could get with you one day. Very nice, you inspire me. Thanks
I appreciate the kind words. I'm looking at 73, so, I'm sure that my power fishing days are numbered....but, I'm going to hang in there as long as I can. My brain says I'm still 25....but, by body strongly disagrees. ....it's a somewhat manageable addiction.....LOL.
If I saw right that an ambasadour reel. Probebly the most bang for the buck/last for generation reel that can handle the big baits 24/7 Nice so see one on the other side of the globe. :)
I probably have 20-25 of those reels. They are stronger than death. I can't imagine a better reel for big swimbaits or my big spinnerbaits....I alos use them for a lot of my crankbait fishing.....and, you can buy them all day long on ebay for less than $150....many of them less than $100.
You must live in a state close to big bass lakes. You could throw those lures in a 300 mile radius where I live and never score that many big bass. Like your dedication.
I'm in NW Georgia. Not a lot a primo big largemouth lakes in that area, but, I'm less than a 2 hour drive from some REALLY good ones.....Chickamauga, Guntersville, etc. I'd love to try my tactics on Lanier, which a world class Spotted Bass fishery, as it's only 50 miles away, but, it takes well over an hour to get to it because of the traffic.....but, it just ain't worth the frustration.
@@fishlipps1952 Not hard. We started catching big bass in Illinois and Wisconsin while Muskie fishing. Big baits, big spinnerbaits, inline blades, and swim jigs. And Tim, congrats! You just discovered Muskie fishing. FYI, you can get lure building components on the bigger side at Rollie & Helen's Musky Shop online.

@joeyshannon8477 ... I got in touch with my old source....and he has officially retired. I'm looking around for another source, but, I'm not hopeful. If you already have some 1.5 oz ones, you should be good to go....just have the right blade sizes on them....and hopefully they have the right wire size on them with the twist eye.
as ive said before, amazing content….thank you. do you hang many spinnerbaits up in deep water? and, some of those skirts look almost pumpkin in color. may be the light, or the red you add. Thanks again.
I rarely hang them up.....but, it can happen. Usually, it's not the hook that sticks in something, it's more like the bait gets wedged in a crack in some rocks. When that happens, I do a "drive by'...meaning I move the boat to the opposite side of the hang up, and jiggle it. The weight, more often than not, helps it fall backwards and frees it. If that fails, it's plug knocker time. As for the colors, it's 99% chartreuse or white....or a mixture, so, I'll blame the lighting...it was almost dark when I made that video.
I have TH-cam videos that I took down.....I'll put a lot of them back up, and you can check them out. Maybe they'll answer some of your questions, if not, just ask.
@@335elkhunter ..Actually, I wind them at a pretty good clip....BUT, I'm using a 4.7:1 reel. SMART!!!! And, yes, those musky baits generally cost a bit more, but, they're generally much largers and are built to withstand much more abuse.
