Apparently,Mario’s fireball does more damage than a 7 barrel laser cannon.
Yep. And even his kicks do more damage to Mecha Sonic. No wonder because in fire form he totally trumped Axem Red.
if we're talking seriously then mecha sonic did not expect the fireball, but he was facing down the laser cannon so he tanked it. big difference when element of surprise is involved.

@@mrfixit9538 Yeah, I feel when it comes to unexpected attacks it can make a big difference. If not by damaging, flinching. Which exactly what happened to Mecha Sonic, he flinched.
Tbf, I do think Mecha Sonic sees Mario as the bigger threat on the team after that fireball, maybe it only made him flinch, but after that he prioritized killing Mario first, even though he had a perfect chance to kill Shadow, on later fights he also always attacks Mario first.

Gotta respect Mario, he was the only one to harm Mecha Sonic here. Even Shadow with his chaos abilities could only just keep up with Mecha. That’s probably why in the cave fight, Mecha Sonic prioritises taking Mario out first.

Shadow was the only one that could go toe to toe with mecha sonic lol, smbz was so badass too
Remember that he never wanted to killed them in the first place, just see how he exterminate the Axem Rangers, he killed them in *Mere Seconds* . Here, he was just playing with them.
I like how Mario and Shadow can often keep up with Mecha Sonic.
This series was awesome. It's a shame the dude doesn't animate anymore, he has some serious skill at it

This fight had STAKES. That's what made Alvin's work such a joy to watch. It was literally DBZ in Mario form and it was AWESOME.

Funny thing is, in the games, mecha Sonic is such a pushover, he looks so badass but the battles against him are so underwhelming XD
Silver Sonic on the other hand, is fucking brutal if you don't know his pattern(mostly because you have no rings when fighting him, so he can kill you in one hit)
Yeah, then you figure out his pattern and just trivialize him to become a total pushover. Probably only Metal Sonic is the outstanding version as he puts up quite a fight in Stardust Speedway

I always wondered why sonic was struggling to hit mecha sonic in the fight. Then i realized that while sonic is a great fighter and pretty strong in his own right, His main strength is his speed, And mecha sonic was in his super form which basically countered Sonic's main strength.
This was also shadows first fight with mecha along side mario and the others

No if you look closer a blast was about to hit Mario, and Shadow kicked him out of the way
