He literally fucking killed all the other antagonists in 5 minutes. I remember being absolutely shocked when I first saw this as a kid. I even felt bad for the Koopa bros and the Axem rangers despite them being actual vllains. This scene and the entire show was incredible it really had that evil vibe to it whenever Mecha Sonic appeared.

I think it was the episode before this one or the one after but it was during the bit where Sonic was explaining his and Mecha's backstory that Mecha survived the Death Egg crashing into the planet. Sure, the Breaker Beam was powerful, but a space station exploding after it hits a planet is far more dangerous

Jesus i can't wait to see this moment being reanimated on the reboot. We've seen how crazy changes and better quality the fight with yoshi was, and i can't imagine how crazy it's gonna get when we reach this moment.

Well this isn't my animation. It was done a very long time ago by an animator named "Alvin-Earthworm". The fight in question came from the series, "Super Mario Bros. Z" It's 16:9 so that it would try to be more "HD" like in quality, hence why some of the stuff looks off.
