So, someone asked me a long time ago if I would be able to upload this fight in a better quality, since a lot of time has passed.
I figured, "Why not?" And so I re-recorded it in 720p (for real this time, it's widescreen). Hope you enjoy!

He literally fucking killed all the other antagonists in 5 minutes. I remember being absolutely shocked when I first saw this as a kid. I even felt bad for the Koopa bros and the Axem rangers despite them being actual vllains. This scene and the entire show was incredible it really had that evil vibe to it whenever Mecha Sonic appeared.
I don’t know why, but I always laughed dramatically when that scene happened

Oh man...after watching Episode 2 of the reboot, I can’t even BEGIN to imagine just how much more fucked up and brutal the massacre of the Axem Rangers is going to be later on.

I’ve recently saw what if episode 8 & 9 and I’m curtain in the reboot Metallix is potentially the next Ultron when he takes on the Axem Rangers.

Mark may not look back on his older work too fondly but you absolutely *KNOW* he knocked it out of the park using Cooler audio clips for Mecha Sonic.
It is, like, the only thing he kept from the OG SMBZ series in tact.
Not the only thing. There are multiple DBZ sound effects, like a number of blast effects, and the Scouter sound effect being used for Mecha Sonic's scanning.
I know the Metalix vs Yoshi fight was better than the original, but I really hope the new vs Axem Rangers fight can live up to this one. One of, if not, my favorite fight scenes of all time.

0:51 Mecha Sonic was actually extremely lucky to have survived the beam. It was powered by a Chaos Emerald, and MS only used an electric shield to halt it.

I don't agree with either of the first two replies. I think it was the episode before this one or the one after but it was during the bit where Sonic was explaining his and Mecha's backstory that Mecha survived the Death Egg crashing into the planet. Sure, the Breaker Beam was powerful, but a space station exploding after it hits a planet is far more dangerous
I mean with 3 emeralds, And surviving the death egg explosion. He's more than durable enough
@WillRQ That was always my thought. Just two emeralds made him more than capable of destroying the Koopa Bros. special attack even while they were under the effect of one emerald.

What did it consist of?
Mecha Sonic’s “I’LL CRUSH YOU!” at the start of the fight is so iconic in fandom circles that in an OFFICIAL SONIC COMIC (Scrapnik Island #4) they actually had Mecha Sonic say the line! Was pretty surreal to see.
Not Just a OFFICIAL SONIC COMIC now, IDW got canonized só now mecha Sonic CANONICALLY Said "I'LL CRUSH YOU!"

Oh man, after watching episode 2 of the reboot, I’m very scared on how much more overpowered mecha sonic is going to become and how much more brutal he will be towards the axem rangers when we get there. So much hype!

My favorite thing to have noticed is that in the fan game Sonic Smackdown (a 2D fighter), Mecha Sonic is playable and he not only has the Raging Demon as his super art, but he also re-uses Meta Cooler's voice clips from DragonBall Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 just like in SMBZ

I loved this series so much. Mecha Sonic was probably the best villian for this series. The origins of him even makes the show better. I wish we were able to see the end of the series.

Well this isn't my animation.
It was done a very long time ago by an animator named "Alvin-Earthworm".
The fight in question came from the series, "Super Mario Bros. Z"
It's 16:9 so that it would try to be more "HD" like in quality, hence why some of the stuff looks off.
