I love how you say that everyone is in uniform. Yes yes yes! Our son loves wearing his suit and he when he's ben growing out of them he's been picking his own out, which is lovely! You mentioning about noticing how other girls are dressed. I agree. Without sounding too critical and like I'm looking down on someone, I, myself, was really distracted one day. There was a young lady... actually an entire family who had rompers on and they were short 🥴 I used to wear rompers, I did. They really can be cute! However, these were short... like really short 😳 It was distracting for even me, a woman. You know. I thought being an EM was a way to honor the Lord. I was helping the Church, I was taking part, I was there on the altar. And then it clicked that a small part of me felt like, "hey! I get to touch the Lord. Look at this!" I was incredibly reverent, holding with only my two fingers, but after a while it felt wrong, and then I started reading, and then I started digging and realized NOPE... This isn't right AT ALL. Ah... the Santus ☺️💖 I just love it. I look forward to it so much. When we say the Creed my mind starts gearing up in anticipation for those few minutes after when it all begins haha
no worries on being nervous. Just sit in the middle so that you can follow along. Everyone is just so gracious and welcoming. Enjoy it all! I have watched different videos on the Mass, and what was really nice was that my dad found videos that an FSSP priest did. He recorded himself saying the Mass so that you can see what he's doing. During Mass he's far from you, back turned away so you don't know what he's doing at first. Those videos were helpful. I also have books that I got my kids that they read during Mass. Korbin's has pictures with words so that he can match the pictures to the words, which is great! I have also binged on several of Taylor Marshall's videos explaining the Mass and talking about the TLM too. As for teaching them the Rosary in Latin, I learned myself, and then during our daily rosary I would say half in Latin and Half in English. Once they started picking it up (they picked it up faster than me), then we added more Latin Hail Mary's until finally saying the entire rosary in Latin. I am not perfect with the creed so I keep my cheat sheet handy haha.
It's so beautiful to hear them say, "mom, when can i receive the Lord in the Eucharist." Just so beautiful. God Bless your son too! P.S. Forgive me if you've told me, but where do you live? We love meeting new people so maybe on one of our trips we can meet up!
id rather think ... perdon sorry no se explicar en ingles i dont know how to explain on english but , ... ah de ser una experiencia oir misa en latin pero en mi epoca el SS PAPA MONTINI CAMBIO A EL FORMATO ACTUAL osea misa EN LENGUAJE VERNACULO DE CADA PAIS ... siempre eh sido fiel al SS PAPA MONTINI ....
My wife and I have been attending the Latin mass for several months now. We drive 20 minutes (on the highway) to attend the Tridentine Mass (even though we have a Novus Ordo church within walking distance from home). We have nothing against Novus Ordo; in fact, we go there sometimes when for some reason we can't go to the Latin Mass. Here's what I don't like about the Novus Ordo (again--I have nothing against it). 1) Irreverence from the flock; people in flip flops, mundane music, 2) I've seen priests singing along with the choir when they are supposed to be praying in silence during the preparation of the gifts (as stated by the Roman Ritual). No wonder a vast majority of Catholics no longer believe in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist!
We are very similar to you. It's roughly 20minutes there, and yep a Church about 1/2 mile from our house. Within the coming months, however, our drive to attend the Latin Mass will be increasing to 1hour and5-10minutes one way, which will be a change. There is a Catholic Church in the tiny town we'll be living that is actually 5 minutes from the house. I'm going to attend Mass to see if they have a novus ordo without distractions since the TLM is a bit of a drive in case we can't make the drive one day. I do agree with your reasons for not liking it. I just don't like the Eucharistic Ministers touching the Lord either. 😣 God Bless you and your family. Have a great rest of the week!
The mass is celebrated in latin in several rites. So why are some people of the apparent opinion the the extraordinary form of the latin rite is "the latin mass"?
It's not an "apparent opinion". It's just a distinction. There's an English Mass and you can go to a Latin speaking Mass. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. God Bless you and your family. 🙂
@@thelivingfaithfulhomeschoo9906 What you refer to as "the Latin mass" is the extraordinary form of the latin rite. And what you refer to as an "English mass" is the ordinary form of the Latin rite. But the ordinary form is celebrated both in English and in Latin. So the distinction is wrong. Have a nice weekend you too.
Thank you so much for stopping by. How has the Latin Mass impacted you and your family?
I’m attending my first Latin mass this Sunday. I’m so excited/nervous! I would love to hear how you learned and taught your kids the rosary in Latin.

Praying the rosary during consecration sounds wonderful! I'm going to try that when I go by myself or when our babies are more grown up.
It really is! And if I can't finish, I ask my guardian angel to help me to finish. :)
AUDREY IS THERE ...
yes
We made the switch to TLM nearly two years ago. Our only regret is that we didn't do it much sooner.
completely agree with you. God Bless my friend!
I love Latin mass
me too!

ugh. As long as the vernacular still keeps the Mass Holy, it seems ok. I do love Latin, though.

Flips flops are irreverent? According to whom? And who is the authority on that matter?

What do you use to learn and familiarity
Check out my channel for a few different resources. Use the search tab and type "Latin". A few other videos will pop up. :)
