Here in New Mexico we call those swivel in the middle buses cause it makes it easyer to turn corners and the best part is you can sit in the bendie part
As a person living in the place where bending buses (aka articulated buses) r pretty common, I find it so abstract that you've never seen one nor have any idea how those works! Lemme tell you then, the whole point for them to bend is because those are longer and bigger tha normal bus in order to pack more people inside. And because of the lenght, those would have a problem taking any turn, wouldn't fit on the road even, so they bend to make the turn smoother.

The slinky bus wouldn’t do that because it can bend to curve where it bottoms out so it can get unstuck from the 90 degree angles these poly bridge vehicles are driving over... then it would crash into the ocean if it was on the stage of the time thingy
That "weird six-wheeled bus" is the only type of bus you find in Italy
The bend in the middle helps the bus make sharper turns and whatnot. Pretty common in public transit where I live.

ok, I'm gonna say this as a theory, all of Poly Bridge, both the original and the sequel, take place in the GTA and or Saint's Row Universe, probably more GTA than Saint's Row, but regardless, here's why, the biggest complaint Captain Sauce has with a bunch of levels is the fact that some of the crafts like boats and planes that are obstacles you have to get around are super low to the water level and at risk of getting in the way of crashing into the bridges, well, both in single-player and multi-player of GTA and Saint's Row, what's the number one thing players do when they get their first boat or planes. Try to fly it under bridges.
For the bridge with the plane you could just have curved the top bridge over the plane, no actual need for any hydraulics at all ;)
