I actually love that you explore everything so thoroughly and do all the side quests and read everything about all the yokai. I'm really interested in all those ghost stories, that's kinda why I came here to watch this game in the first place. Also, forgetting random words in English is so damn relatable! 😅
I don't know if it's already been said, but the green kitty faces on the map are relic collecting cat yokai, if you visit them and start the quest for them they turn yellow and you can use them for fast travel, also if you select the items in their list to "active" they show as yellow areas on the map to help you find them I love watching this play through because your stories and memories of Japan just add an extra level to an already awesome game (and convinced me to get it too) so thank you!

Seeing Gab still remember her way on how to get to Shibuya Station from Loft from her days living in Japan despite some years made me realise THAT’S why she’s so good with maps in all the games (esp Fatal Frame). Gab is always so quick when it comes to navigating game maps.
Gab glad you enjoy it, I was waiting for you to play it since day 1. A little bit of tip, try charging up the weaving power more, hold it before you shoot it, it’ll land a more powerful attack with the expanse of 1 SP, instead of continuously shooting small attacks. You’ll ran out of SP real quick that way, especially the fire weaving, since you only got 6 SP originally, charging it up before shooting it made it an AOE attack, really really powerful.
if you go to your inventory, you'll be able to see 3 sets of consumable; foods, drinks and nether food. food is slow to consume, but grants large amount of regen, drinks are quick to consume but do roughly 60% or less the amount of regen as foods, and nether foods do pitifully low regen, but give special effects such as defense boost or lower visibility to enemies. with the sheer number of enemies you'll be facing, its a good idea to upgrade the capacities at least once, and stocking up on the last 3 items on the supermarket menu (they give +130 health each as compared to the most powerful drinks which are only +80). you can swap consumables by tapping the use consumables button.
33:24 based on my knowledge about spirits, yokais and folklore the reason why he got healed and is still alive is because 2 souls/cores were inside a singular body and the energy flow made it possible. As KK said: his will is so strong that he was still in this world but he needed a body and you needed to survive the accident. You were and empty vessel, not that empty. ahahahah Now you are back in action because of the healing speed you got... think about necromancers and them letting their mana/life energy flow into other dead bodies. That's similar to what happened, I guess

The second you said "loft" it threw me down memory lane. When I was in Shibuya, the sign for it was in an array of color and had turning gears. There's a giant department store right across the street from it that had a really cool "Bleach" themed elevator (2014), and a stall nearby was selling summer Shiba themed cookies. I cannot believe how accurately they depicted this area.

Hello Gab! You should be halfway through the story so don't worry to much about it and enjoy the side stuff as much as you want. Most let's play i have seen end up with around 8-12hours with level between lv24 to lv30. That game is a bit of Hit or Miss among the youtuber i watched and the fact that you enjoy it so much and your own sidestory of Japan really give that game a big plus.
It was awesome that the building you called "The Loft" was marked "The Left" on the building itself at the top! I don't know if you noticed it, but I laughed so much at that! Can't wait to see more! Much Much Love! ❤️
1:08:44 it's a lot of the same in the Philippines! There are more recently-developed places that are nice and well-planned-out like in Europe or other western settings, but then there are some older cities where you get beautiful mixes of old and new architecture as in Tokyo, clean-lined office buildings and condominiums right alongside centuries-old churches and villas. It's a beautiful thing altogether IMO.
This seems like one of those games where getting 100pc game and trophies would be awesome, soooo much to collect, do and achieve without feeling repetitive or tedious, loving the play-through especially your knowledge of the culture and environment due to your unique experiences of having been in tokyo

When saving sealed souls from the visitors, you can save a lot of ether by running up behind the channeling visitors and performing a quick purge. You don't need to sneak; just run up behind them and purge while they are channeling.

You were completely right about the colour of the whites of your eye. Yellow eyes means your liver is no longer working properly, and the yellow is caused by bilirubin, a substans that's usually filtered out by the liver. If the liver is damaged then the skin is also coloured yellow. The thiness and colour of your nails also shows your health
Not exactly. There are people whose eyes are naturally yellow. Hyperbilirubinemia can be caused by bile duct obstruction., gallstones, red blood cell breakage even with a healthy liver. Physiologic jaundice also happens in newborns. The color of the eyes and tongue can mean things for health, but only when it's severe. You can never really diagnose anything with that alone. And they never happen alone.

when I could play games, I loved doing side quests for games that allowed it. makes the funness last longer and it makes the story and final bosses a bit easier because of leveling up.

Shine Dancer 1:12:50 My favorite visitor ghost 👻 It’s looks is base on Teru Teru Bozu, a hanging ghost doll that hangs around on the window and suppose to ward off a rainy day. This one however is aggressive. It laughs and giggles at you as it being hang when they are lifted up by a rope. To be aware of this Visitor, the rain and objects will flow upward if you are in this Visitor presence.
Watching this while being stuck in Mainscenario in FF14 feels right. Great game, great gameplay, thank you so much for all your insight into japanese culture and your entertaining commentary! :3
I got to say, I love when Gab just kinda whispers to herself in Japanese. Idk what she says, but you can tell she loves this game so much and how much she connects to it and Japan. It's so awesome and just makes my heart warm.
Honestly, the sidequests are little stories in and of themselves, so I have zero impatience when it comes to the main story. So as long as Gab enjoys playing through the sidequests, I'll enjoy watching them!
I love this game and how you’re playing! You mentioned your allergies, and you’ve probably heard this before, but try local honey. With bees that get their pollen from the Brighton area. You can probably find it at a farmer’s market. It’s like inoculating yourself against those pollens.
It is spirit, but also atmosphere, mood etc. depending on how it is compounded, I guess. Was just off a flash wall. I was 19, in mourning, and needed a way to honor them.

I really like the fact that they aren't violent with the Quick Purge of the Visitor that's a girl in the rain coat since she represents child abuse.

when I could play games, I loved doing side quests for games that allowed it. makes the funness last longer and it makes the story and final bosses a bit easier because of leveling up.

It’s looks is base on Teru Teru Bozu, a hanging ghost doll that hangs around on the window and suppose to ward off a rainy day.
This one however is aggressive. It laughs and giggles at you as it being hang when they are lifted up by a rope.
To be aware of this Visitor, the rain and objects will flow upward if you are in this Visitor presence.
Watching this while being stuck in Mainscenario in FF14 feels right. Great game, great gameplay, thank you so much for all your insight into japanese culture and your entertaining commentary! :3
I got to say, I love when Gab just kinda whispers to herself in Japanese. Idk what she says, but you can tell she loves this game so much and how much she connects to it and Japan. It's so awesome and just makes my heart warm.
Honestly, the sidequests are little stories in and of themselves, so I have zero impatience when it comes to the main story. So as long as Gab enjoys playing through the sidequests, I'll enjoy watching them!
