Lies with ugly eyes Sitting on My nose Flowers on the wall Keep growing high Realising no time No time left at all A falling leaf am I A falling leaf am I Let him in all upon Showing no life at all Missing water and heat and ground And looking to the sky Grim reaper comes Hoping grass was tall Wind please help me A falling leaf am I Falling Falling Laying here in pieces Days work all been done Guess I got what man receives On plain reality But wait, more leaves are falling Falling everywhere Are we not all falling leaves Are we not all falling leaves
Pretty sure it's "Flies with ugly eyes"... Also second verse kinda sounds like: "Black lillies on the pond Showing no life at all Missing water and hidden ground" These are very tough lyrics to decipher and there is very little information about this song anywhere which is strange for such an old and great song. Seems like it went unnoticed for decades and then was suddenly used in two recent movies...
I heard this in Till Death and forgot to look up the song. Today I was leaving work and a guy at red light was blasting this from his car. I looked it up and found nothing 😭 thank you for posting!
Got the same thing off shazam but it's listed as being by The Asylum - Falling Leaf on Till Death's credits, it was a pain trying to find it so thank you for posting
According to paperwork found in Bud Ross's archives, this recording was made in 1968 by a group named the Sound Investment, a.k.a. the Wilde Things. RIP to a great Philadelphia songwriter/producer/music publisher, Bud Ross (1940-2022)
I always thought the lyrics were: Lies we put behind Sitting on my nose Flowers on the wall Keep growing high Realizing no time No time left at all A falling leaf am I A falling leaf am I Left it in on the pond Showing no life at all Busy were they beneath the ground And looking to the sky Grim reaper, oh Hoping grass was tall Wind please help me A falling leaf am I Laying here in pieces Today’s work has all been done Guess I’ve got what man receives On bleeding reality But wait- While I leave the pond Falling everywhere Are we not all falling leaves Are we not all falling leaves He also sounds like the lead singer of The Animals…??
I would be grateful If anyone could provide the lyrics...
Lies with ugly eyes
Sitting on My nose
Flowers on the wall
Keep growing high
Realising no time
No time left at all
A falling leaf am I
A falling leaf am I
Let him in all upon
Showing no life at all
Missing water and heat and ground
And looking to the sky
Grim reaper comes
Hoping grass was tall
Wind please help me
A falling leaf am I
Falling Falling
Laying here in pieces
Days work all been done
Guess I got what man receives
On plain reality
But wait, more leaves are falling
Falling everywhere
Are we not all falling leaves
Are we not all falling leaves

Strange that you can’t find more info on this artist or song? Something doesn’t sit right, but I love it!

A falling leaf am I
Left it in on the pond
