I make my homemade broth, too. We never buy from the store but I freeze them. But thinking about canning them, so it's ok even if I forgot to defrost the in the evening. Do you pressure can your broth? We don't have a pressure canner. I just learned to water bath and my husband's family only use water bath. Pressure canner is not very common here in Spain. Thank you.

    You are a fabulous cook!! Your family is blessed 💕we call that cooker a roaster- and when I lived in Central PA the older women called those DELICIOUS beans “Calico Beans”- not sure if it was a local or family thing that sort of caught on and then everyone in the area started to call them Calico beans - they are SOOOOO good!!!! I remember growing up our favorite chocolate cake recipe was one we called Betty D’s chocolate cake ( my moms friend)…. That recipe has been passed all over the country by the same name and probably has a “real” name!😂😂😂😂😂

      also, please dont encourage others to reuse lids. It has nothing to do with them being punctured. If you check a new lid, you will see that the seal is soft and larger than those on used lids A new lid softens and flows slightly to cover the jar-sealing surface and that wont be there on the second use. If you want to reuse lids, look into tattler lids. Those are made to be reusable.

    I’m sure you’re not suppose to recommend to someone water bathing the baked beans. But is that something prior to your pressure cooker would you have water bathed? Would you have water bathed for the 3 hours since it’s a low acidity food? And something like would you add additional salt for the preservation? I’d love to can something like this (probably minus the ground beef) but I only have access to water bathing.

    I’d like to make the Cream of Chicken Soup. Is there a recommended amount of shredded chicken to add? Thank you so much for your inspirational videos!!

      You could totally add a bit of shredded chicken.. I personally just add the chicken broth and that’s it

    Great video! I need to try those lemon bars. They looked amazing. I love to make my own chicken broth but I haven't tried beef broth yet. What do you ask for when you buy the beef hunk at the store?

    If you don't do it already......you should keep your celery ends, carrot peels and ends, and onion pieces you don't use. Freeze them until you make broth and then use those instead of fresh stuff!

    Have you tried canning the homemade cream of chicken soup?

    • @AdalineZook
      @AdalineZook  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m afraid the milk would curdle with the amount of time it would need to be canned having chicken broth in it
