    "Kinda dry, though..." Biggest understatement of the whole series, lol. Shortly followed by, "Is that a forest fire over there?" Been thinking about you and the other PCT hikers as the news keeps track of the many fires now burning in California/Oregon/Washington. Stay safe.

    YES! Been waiting for this update! Thanks for the most comprehensive and beautiful videos of the PCT on TH-cam. The work you put into the videos on top of the hiking must make for some difficult moments, again thank you!

    Another awesome video! Amazing to see the changes in geology and rock formations. For the wind noise I suggest a small piece of cheap sponge or foam. They make dead cats for various cameras that look like a patch of hair - you could color yours red to match your monicker. Lots of DIY options.

    I found your channel while looking at gear reviews (love the insight you provide from real use) and next thing I know you are making me appreciate living in Tahoe even more! Thanks for sharing your PCT journey and for reminding me to put down the work get outside and hit the trails.

    Will, was a little worried for you. Stay clear of the fires. There seems to be a lot them. And did you see Hoss, Ben, or Little Joe? Just kidding. You hiked thru the fictional Ponderosa and the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Great job as usual.

    Lake Tahoe brings back great memories for me. Im from the UK and visited it in 2008. I also went to Truckee so im a little disappointed that you didnt show some video of the town. Maybe next vid? ;) Theres a great little bar with a pool table, and it serves the UK's "Newcastle Brown Ale"..a recommendation for anyone, not just visitors to Truckee! Enjoy the rest of the hike...cant wait for the next installment, its an awesome ride you're taking us on.

      Yeah we didn't spend much time in town because of the great trail angel that let us stay at his place and cooked us dinner!

    My old stompin' grounds. Donner Summit. Desolation Wilderness is the very best. Not too high, great lakes, not too many folks mid week. Heather Lake is Paradise.

    Amazing views😍 so lucky! I plan on doing the pct thru-hike next year. I live in Vancouver bc but I plan on taking a plane to Mexico and starting there which I think would be the best way to do it. I met a lady that was doing the pct this year and I heard its pretty busy since the movie Wild probably brought them all in to hike it, and it definitely worked on me lol! The trail is just gorgeous💚🌲🚶, safe travels for the rest of the way!

    • @RedBeard0924
      @RedBeard0924  9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you using a Suunto Core All Black Military Watch for Altitude and Barometer information? What do you recommend for keeping track of altitude information and what are other people using on the trail?
    Man, those are beautiful views. Thank you so much.
    That real read rock up high on the pass, was that iron and volcano lava rock, or what?

    • @RedBeard0924

    ever since mt whitney, I'm confused if you guys are on the PCT ........are the ski resorts part of PCT?

    • @RedBeard0924
      @RedBeard0924  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep we were always on the PCT. Often the long trails including the AT are literally on sky slopes. Pretty crazy.

    +Will Wood Question for you, do you regularly resupply your water in those ponds or just running streams?

    • @RedBeard0924
      @RedBeard0924  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only springs since I don't filter.

    • @sinfonianbarelytone9191
      @sinfonianbarelytone9191 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Will Wood Wow! That is surprising. No filter is risky, but since you've been doing this for thousands of miles, you know your body best. I will carry a 2 ounce filter due to my inexperience when I hike, especially with my kids. Thanks for responding. Enjoy your hike as we enjoy your videos.
