Travelling From Seoul To Japan & Arriving At Tokyo Disney Resort!

- Our June 2024 trip to Asia continues as we make our way from Seoul, South Korea to Tokyo in Japan for the third part of our adventure. In this vlog we take you along for the journey including our flight to Tokyo, followed by train from Tokyo Narita Airport to the city center. We then catch another train down to the Tokyo Disney Resort, before transferring onto the monorail line. Following that, we give you a tour of one of the nicest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in!

What I love about your travelling around is that you still go for the budget options even though you can probably afford the best. Because this way it's much more realistically helpful for all your viewers getting tips to hopefully follow in your footsteps one day and visit the same places.

The station chimes are great. I recall how much I loved them on my visit 10 years ago. I evne bought a coin bank shaped like a train car that played the music when you out coins in the bank. Enjoy Japan.

The travel to Japan you have to go to nigara or haneda. It’s the only airports that do international travel. You have to do fingerprints and do the standard card for landing. You also wait for security just in case they pull you. Trust me they are very much strict on what goes in and out of Japan. You must arrive and leave right on time or they might not let you in again. This is why you go to the airport at least three or four hours before you depart. but the wait is nice as they have a restaurant row in the airport and convenience stores also games and stuff.
Great travel vlog as ever TPW crew. My nephew has just returned from Japan and he absolutely loves it over there. So much so he hopes to return next year. I’m tempted to join him as it looks such a clean respectful country everything very civilised and to order. The trains look immaculate and so modern. What a beautiful hotel room. Can’t wait for the Disney resort vlogs.

They already have screen doors on some underground lines and the Elizabeth line

Lovely to see you both. Only just started but makes me laugh when Charlotte has her Merseyside twang. Was more prominent on the carnival cruise so I thought. Awww they have vlogged after a drink. Then I see the open tin of budweiser. Or it may be totally not a bud and some korean AF drink but Charlotte always talks with her mersyside twang after a drink and it's so so so cute. Whoa hold your horses. In Japan you don’t actually use the bath for washing. You shower first, then soak in the bath. That’s how you should do it. It’s the weirdest thing but you feel so much better afterwards. Also nudity is pretty much an everyday thing and isn’t really looked down upon like the west. Honestly just go to a hot springs resort and it’s like that or a sento.
I had a nice soak in the bath and it was lush!

Disney Tokyo is independent from the Disney Association, you will see what Disney was and is no longer.

Even before I was an expert on the Madrid Metro, it looked more approachable than the Tube or Asian maps, but seeing videos on and other taking it, I think I get the core sections and the different types (sub-surface, deep tube, Crossrail-Elizabeth line & Themeslink, Overground, DLR, apparently the TfL has a tram network somewhere)
Love travelling and seeing different transport!

22:17 When I was about 9 years old in the year 2000, I got to ride in the front car of the monorail with the operator and my family. This would come to an end after 9/11, Disney would stop allowing guests to up front with the monorail operator from that point up. Now I can go to Tokyo Disneyland and sit in a exhibit display on the monorail operator cab. Won't be awhile until I can get out to Tokyo Disneyland from the states, but seeing this travel vlog and I will put it on the top of my bucket list, next to Disneyland Paris.

The Tokyo dome is hosting a new Japan pro wrestling event right now along with a boxing event most likely. It’s always like that. Very few decent concerts grace the Tokyo dome. It was built as a sports stadium after all.

Actually Japanese railways were privatized a number of years ago. Its three different companies one being Japan rail that also own the bullet trains. The government has no real control over the rail system at all except maybe funding certain projects they might do. Honestly the rail companies have a monopoly on the entire transport system. It’s still corrupt masking as some good for the people but still they are still not great.

If you have an iPhone, you can add a Suica Card to your apple wallet and put money on it to use for trains and convenience stores. Never have to fumble with cash, stop at ticket machines, or figure out how much a journey will cost. Just tap and go at the station gates!

Hey S&C, nice to follow along on trip. Maybe could do a bit extra seg sometime on trains... I went into Haneda, but same same.... could not figure the trains, transfers, tickets (just watch any expats vlog on trains). Fortunately, was Haneda airport, and managed to find a Disney bus... took to park and walked to hotel (back down by where you and Alex stayed past), Ain't that "Shawn magic" easy! :)
