Ahhh!! Shin-Urayasu is my mother's hometown! I've spent multiple childhood summers there at my grandfather's house. It was amazing to see you document a small tour around the area! It was so local, I had to show my mom your footage. I would totally look forward to more videos outside of the Disney-bubble if that's what you choose to do!!! Ngl, half the reason I watch your videos is because of how nostalgic it feels ,, haha

Early June 2023 my wife and I stayed at the Celebration Wish. I think you really nailed this review.
The bathrooms do need updating BUT otherwise we had great things to stay.
The rooms were SO much larger than any other hotel we stayed at in Japan, the lobby decorations and in-room mural are very cute indeed.
As someone who grew up going to WDW for our Disney vacations I was already used to 20 minute bus rides so this one didn't seem bad but what I REALLY did like is how the bus between Wish and the parks ran on a schedule! You actually knew what time you could show up for a bus rather than just show up and wait an unknown amount of time like in Florida.

I remember listening to the podcast episode about this and while I feel a little more endeared to the hotel after seeing the cute theming, I still think if I was trying to save money I’d pick a partner hotel on the monorail loop. The only thing you would miss out on is the early 15 entry (just for Disneyland!) and thinking about how early you’d need to get up to get on the bus, no thank you. I could see it being worthwhile doing the vacation package, but with how much those packages cost, I’d rather pay a bit more to go all out on one of the better hotels. Thank you for the video Chris and looking forward to further hotel videos from you.

My mum and her friend aren't too keen on doing more than one day at Disney, while my sister and I are planning a day for Disneyland and Sea (we're more or less veterans lol), and trying our Standby luck for Fantasy Springs 🤞
They were considering taking a train back to Tokyo or to another town to sightsee for the day, but if Urayasu's got stuff to do they might just stay in the area!
Keep up the great work as always Chris :)

I would think the celebrity hotel would be really great to go to first if you’re coming from a long distance like the United States. To get rid of your Jetlag. Would be my thought. Why go to a hotel that’s $300-$500 a night when you’re dead tired.

I agree with the assessment. It's an inexpensive way to stay at a "resort" hotel and get the early entry benefit into Disneyland. But the limited transport (3x per hour) and the travel time could be a downside for some.

Hi! Love the video! I stayed at the Celebration: Discover hotel back in 2012 when it wasn’t owned by Disney. Back then, they had an airport shuttle that took you directly to/from the hotel. But your info states they now only drop off at the Tokyo Disneyland bus terminal? I know the other Disney hotels get direct drop-off and pick-up (or did that change too?). Any idea why they changed that?

The two hotels that give early entry to Disney Sea are expensive and not even available for the dates I will be there. Staying at the Disney Celebration was the worst experience we have had. It is far away. Waiting for the bus after the park took forever……such a long line. Once we finally got there there was only one person doing the checking in. All the other guests in line were chinese and were yelling at each other and the front desk person. They were trying to negotiate the price for some reason. Once it was our turn you could tell the front desk person was just annoyed and did not like their job. They were short with us and just not very pleasant. This is the first time I have ever experienced this at a Tokyo Disney resort. We normally rotate between main resorts……the rooms were ok. When you you look out the windows you stare at some apartment buildings and it feels very industrial. Personally we will never stay at this hotel again, it’s not worth paying half price in my opinion.
