Great job on the mullein tea. It's so beneficial! For future harvests, remember to gather away from roads or parking areas. Being deep rooted, Mullein can store heavy metals and other toxins. (In my wild camping classes, I still teach people how to use it as TP. One woman was going to plant it in her yard as her emergency supply! 🤣)

Thats a great idea drying the Mullen and making a tea with it, Im going to try that. I pack the leaves in a canning jar with 100 proof vodka and make a tincture out of it. If I ever see you all on the road I’d love to share some with you😎
There’s a channel called “She of the Woods” and she teaches you all about plants and the best way to harvest them for the best results. I’ve learned a lot about how to make tinctures. Golden Rod tincture is wonderful for allergies and colds also😎

We finally got chairs and we are too tired to break them out as we are currently working the Sugar Beet Harvest in Montana 😂 Mullein tea is awesome! I hope you get a chance to try it. It's slightly sweet with a green tea flavor.

I met a couple at Mt Ranier that loved playing UNO. Boy did we have fun....the camphost was not too appreciative of our whooping and laughing, had to remind it was well past quiet time!

Here in Colorado Mullein is an considered invasive weed.
Nice to see you using mullen. It is amazing for so many thing. For your lungs you should do 2 cups a day am and pm. For a couple months. Raw honey is the best. Dont boil water it can ruin some of the good qualities.

One man's treasure...... I had about ten acres of Mullin come up on land after I had a bulldozer clear a hilltop in TN. It looked like ten acres of well-planted tobacco. It works as an anti- asthmatic. I just didn't have time to market and harvest it! ha! And thanks for picking up trash! I bought your chair and regretted it at the end of the show...... laughs
That blooper of Dave trying to set up his chair was too funny! I actually got one of those chairs and had the same problem. But I had to give it away because the opening in the back hurt my back. I loved this video so much!! The area you were at looks just like the area around our house in MT. Huge boulders, lots of pine trees we hope you get to come see us some day. I never knew that Mullein is a wild edible. This plant grows all over at our recreational property. I am so interested in learning about natural remedies and will be giving this one a try for sure. We are headed there today, so I hope I can still find some that has not been hit by the frost. I loved how Roodle did not find tea making that exciting...Lol:) I liked seeing your new chairs!! @@oneadVANtureatatime There is a 70% chance of snow on Monday with an expected high of 40 degrees. Only anticipating about an inch of snow, but the next few days, it should warm up again back into the mid 50s. This will be our first snow of the fall, which is really late compared to usual.
I hope you get that one inch of snow! It will be beautiful I bet. Yes, even last year it seem much colder here at the Sugar Beet Harvest in Sidney. It's starting to look like we will be working most of October.

I suffered severely from hayfever at the end of every summer, the peak being the beginning of September. The first successful cure I found was taking raw apple cider vinegar with the mother this is a natural antihistamine it greatly decreased the need to blow my nose and totally cleared up the itchy feeling in the sinuses and cloudy brain. Since going on a Keto diet I have been cured of my ragweed allergy (hayfever).
You took vinegar with the mother?? My allergies kill me all year long.
@@thelmahenriques6454 Braggs Apple Cider with the mother is the most common brand. There are others even at Walmart. Unfiltered with the mother is important.
Carrie says we are going on Keto right after we complete this Beet harvest job. We tried it before and liked it. Meanwhile, I will try the apple cider vinegar with mother! Thank you for the awesome tip. My nose runs all summer because of allergies and then all winter because of the cold 😂 Next year I hope to collect much more mullein 😀

Thanks, Dave, I think I will just search out a flat rock or a stump to sit on - no folding. The mullein tea thing. I drank lots of that in Shasta County. Easy to find and not bad tasting with so many benefits. I did read somewhere to be careful of the little hairs as they can irritate the throat but I never had a problem with that. I read the same about the hairs that can irritate but have also not noticed a problem. 😂 I recall seeing Mullein all over Shasta county as well but didn't even know what it was. I read that you can take the tiny seeds from Mullein and use them to catch fish. Apparently, it stuns the fish and they float to the surface. Of course this would be for an emergency situation or one might get arrested. Take care Mike!
You might try Mugwort too. It makes a delicious tea and has many medicinal properties. Enjoy your videos and adventures.

Mullein is also know as rabbit tobacco and Indian toilet paper.
You should let that boiling water set a minute before pouring it over the Mullein leaves so that you don't negate its medicinal value. I have one of each those types of chairs. Lol. 👍

I car camp in a RX350 but I have a "King Kong" chair! LOL It's the biggest thing on my roof rack... I feel kind of ridiculous after seeing how little space your chairs take up... and your in a Mega Ram Van!

Roodle is a Labradoodle. His father was an apricot poodle and his mother was a black lab. Carrie just gave him a new haircut. He is now a lion. 😂🐕

Hi Bill. We bought ours from Americanvan.com. Ours is the 12 foot galvanized steel model. We bought 4 extra heavy-duty mounts for a total of 8. This always for extra weight and uses all of the mounting points on the Promaster. 😎

Thank you! I bought decals from Amazon and I really like how it turned out! My favorite leggings are from LuLaRoe. They are pretty pricy ($30-$40 each) which I can no longer afford. They are the softest leggings I have ever worn. They usually come in crazy patterns and bright colors…. It is extremely rare to find a solid print. I love to browse thrift shops and have been very successful lately. A thrift shop here in Sidney Montana have the MOST LuLaRoe leggings I have ever seen fit $5 each!!! I will probably by a few more before we leave. I also like some of the Danskin leggings but they are usually more subdued colors.
